Tennis Prediction and Betting Tips 2024

As we await the start of ATP tennis in Asia, we have some more WTA tennis for you. We’ve picked some great value for Tuesday, September 17th, with one match from the WTA event in Seoul featuring a veteran player who is quite underrated by bookmakers.

In the other match, we’ll look at a fascinating clash at the Hua Hin event, so buckle up and enjoy reading about the best tennis bets this Tuesday.

Best tennis tips and predictions today

In our first bet, we get Ajla Tomljanović at a pretty good price against a player whom she should beat regularly. In our other tip, we have a matchup that features two players who aren’t really on the same level. The odds are again very favourable, so we have to take advantage of that.

Tomljanovic to beat Su Jeong Jang 2-0 @ 6/5

Ajla Tomljanović is at her best a solid player whose ranking should be somewhere in the top 20. The Aussie has dealt with lots of injuries in recent years though, and her level has suffered because of that.

She hasn’t played that much tennis this year due to simply not being healthy enough, but she’s healthy now and slowly getting back to her level. This price at bookmaker Betfred is likely due to reservations about her level.

We don’t have that because we trust that the Australian will find her best tennis here. Her opponent is a native player – Su Jeong Jang – who can play decent tennis, but is not on the level of Tomljanović.

It’s not even close, and while playing at home will boost her, we don’t think it will matter too much. Tomljanović should get the break here early in the first set and that should calm her down.

From there, she is likely to finish it off in two sets because her opponent isn’t a player that should give her too much trouble over the course of two sets.

Uchijima to defeat Hartono @ 4/6

This prediction is based on a similar principle. Once again, we have a player who has been knocking on the doors of the top 100 for a while in Moyuka Uchijima, and Arianne Hartono who has not.

She’s been playing a lot of tennis this year with reasonable returns, but we just don’t think that she’s good enough to beat Hartono in a best-of-three match. She could possibly win a set, but anything more than that looks unlikely.

They actually played twice this year, and Hartono did win the first one, but since then, Uchijima has been on a tear and won a lot of matches. Her confidence will be high for this one, and at this price, we simply have to take it.

The second match this year was won by Uchijima, and we think she’s simply the better player. She’s played against stronger opposition, and that experience will do her good in this match.

Back the Japanese player to get this done, though not in two sets. She might drop a set.
