Fresh off the back of five-goal victories on Saturday night, old rivals the Netherlands and Germany face off in Amsterdam tomorrow night in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Ronald Koeman’s hosts made a winning start to their Nations League campaign as they defeated Bosnia & Herzegovina 5-2 in Eindhoven on Saturday evening, thanks to a flurry of late strikes.
After squeezing through their group in the Euro’s in the summer, The Oranje made it all the way to the semi-finals – defeating both Romania and Turkiye – before conceding a last-gasp goal against eventual runners-up England.
Germany began their Nations League campaign impressively and emphatically as they thrashed Hungary 5-0 in Dusseldorf, with four of those strikes coming in the second half.
Julian Nagelsmann’s visitors gave a decent account of themselves in the Euro’s, topping their group and defeating Denmark 2-0 in the last 16 before being knocked out by eventual winners Spain deep into extra time.
