Struff +2.5 Handicap vs Tsitsipas @ 4/5
Jan-Lennard Struff takes on Stefanos Tsitsipas in a match that has upset written all over it this Wednesday. The pair share a 4-4 head-to-head, with Struff having won their most recent encounter, 6-4, 6-4, in Halle just last month.
While Tsitsipas beat Struff in Rome this year, the match went the distance. Struff also won their previous clash last year, another three-setter on clay, this time in Madrid.
This track record alone is enough for us to back Struff to cover the spread. However, there’s more that works in the German’s favour. Tsitsipas is well out of sorts at the moment, with the Greek announcing a split from his father as head coach late last week.
The same father that he’s still travelling with.
This is a recipe for an unsettled Tsitsipas. With him needing to be 100% locked in to defeat Struff, we’re confident that Struff will be able to at least make this clash very close, if not pull off a fifth win over Tsitsipas.
Rune vs Berrettini Over 23.5 Games @ 4/5
The popcorn match of Cincinnati this Wednesday is undeniably Holger Rune vs Matteo Berrettini.
Rune has also recently undergone some coaching changes, while Berrettini hasn’t played in a few weeks. However, last month, Berrettini bagged an impressive two titles in a row, and comes to Cincinnati on a 10-match winning streak.
Hard courts aren’t the Italian’s favourite surface, and Rune is known for getting up for big matches. Throw in the fact that Berrettini has played an inordinate amount of tiebreaks across his last few tournaments, and this seems like a match destined to crack the 23.5 game mark.
