With 128 players all vying for the title at Wimbledon 2024, making the seed list can be the difference between a deep run or an early exit.
Players which are seeded avoid each other for the first two rounds of the tournament at a minimum. Higher seeds won’t play until the later rounds, ensuring that the best players have the best chance of making it to the end.

Top Four Men’s Seeds at Wimbledon 2024
Here’s a closer look at each of the top four seeds in the men’s draw at this year’s Wimbledon.
1. Jannik Sinner
Italy’s Jannik Sinner holds the No. 1 seed at Wimbledon this year–and it’s the first time he’s ever done so in a Grand Slam.
Sinner comes into Wimbledon in the form of his life, having won his maiden Grand Slam in Australia earlier this year and recently ascended to world No. 1. The 22-year-old is 38-3 on the year so far, with titles in Melbourne, Miami, Rotterdam and most recently, in Halle.
While grass was one of Sinner’s more unknown surfaces, the Italian still has a strong record. He made the quarter-finals here in 2022, and the semi-finals last year. Plus, his recent title in Halle was his first on grass.
If he’s to win the title in London, this is what Sinner’s likely path looks like:

2. Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic, on the other hand, arrives in London having had his worst season in well over a decade.
The Serbian is yet to make a final in 2024, with an 18-6 win-loss for the year so far. He’s also just undergone knee surgery, which saw him withdraw from the French Open ahead of the quarter-finals.
Somehow, it seems as though Djokovic has made a miraculous recovery from his surgery, and will compete for his eighth Wimbledon crown against all odds. Write him off at your peril!

3. Carlos Alcaraz
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz holds the third seed at Wimbledon. He seeks to win the rare ‘Channel Slam’, having just won the French Open last month.
Alcaraz has been in fine form this year, with the Spaniard picking up two titles and a 26-6 win-loss record so far in the season. He suffered an early upset in his only grass lead-in event, however, going down to Jack Draper in Queen’s.
If he’s to defend his Wimbledon title, this is what Alcaraz’s path could be:

4. Alexander Zverev
Fourth seed Alexander Zverev is seeking to back up strong clay court form with a deep run at Wimbledon this year. It’s something the German has struggled to do in the past, with Zverev never making it past the Round of 16 in London.
This year, Zverev has been playing some of his best tennis. He’s 37-11 for the season, with one title in Rome but a Grand Slam final and semi-final as well.
If he’s to win the title in London, this is what Zverev’s path looks like:
