DUNDEE host Kilmarnock in a top six encounter on the final weekend of the season.
The hosts did extremely well to get into the top half in their first season back in the Premiership but they have clearly ran out of steam somewhat after losing all four games since the split.
Both sides come into this on the back of hammerings from the Old Firm.
Tony Docherty's side looked like they were on course to cause a major shock at 22/1 when they led 2-0 at Ibrox in midweek, but they collapsed to a 5-2 defeat to Rangers.
And it seems the long season has finally caught up with them.
Killie have enjoyed easily their best season since the days of Steve Clarke and secured fourth place and European football last week with a fine win against St Mirren.
However, they were absolutely blown away by Celtic and were trounced 5-0 at home as the Hoops clnched the league title.
That will have irked McInnes and he will be desperate to prove that was a blip as they travel to Tayside.
How the bookies view it: Little between them.
Dundee are 9/5 outsiders with Killie 29/20 narrow favourites. The draw is 23/10.
Recent head to heads: Goals and draws this season
Remarkably, the sides have played three games in the league and they have all finished in 2-2 draws. They also met in the Scottish Cup and Killie won 2-0 at Rugby Park then.
Players to watch: Mexican madness?
Dundee scored both their goals at Ibrox in midweek from central defenders and one of them – Mexican Antonio Portales – has now netted against Celtic and Rangers this season. He is 17/2 to add to his tally anytime against Killie on Saturday with bet365.
Danny Armstrong has been Killie's best player this season and has even been touted for a Scotland call-up for Euro 2024. The winger is 9/2 to score anytime on Saturday with bet365.
Probable line-ups
Dundee are missing their captain Joe Shaughnessy. Killie will be without Brad Lyons and Kyle Magennis.
Dundee: McCracken, McGhee, Astley, Portales, Dodgson, Sylla, Boateng, Cameron, McCowan, Tiffoney,
Bakayoko.
Kilmarnock: Dennis, Mayo, Deas, Findlay, Ndaba, Armstrong, Donnelly, Watson, Kennedy, Watkins, Vassell.
Anything else catch the eye?
Dundee look like they just want the season to end and the call here has to be for Kilmarnock to seal an excellent campaign with their first league win over Dundee…and bounce back from their mauling from the Hoops.
Killie's levels of consistency have been outstanding this season and Derek McInnes will want to put one over his former No.2 at Aberdeen, with Tony Docherty matching him all season.
Don't read too much into that midweek defeat – Celtic would have blown away every team in the Premiership with those levels of intensity and performance.
The Dark Blues are also conceding goals at an alarming rate – 13 in their four games since the sploit – back Killie to score two or more on Tayside at 6/5 with bet365.
There should be plenty of goals here – neither defences will be filled with confidence after midweek. Go for another over 3.5 goals encounter here at 11/5 with bet365, which has come up in all three meetings in the league so far.
