Golf Betting Tips from The Caddy

The DP World Tour continues its Asian Swing Series with this weeks Indian Open at The Gary Player Course, DLF Golf & Country Club, New Delhi, India.

The 144 field with the top 65 including ties making the weekend will all be competing for a share of the $2.25M prize purse with the winner collecting the Indian Open title & a winning cheque for $382,500.

Marcel Siem won this event last year but the German won’t be in India to defend his title. His winning scorecard from 2023 read 274, -14.

The Gary Player Course, DLG Golf & Country Club will be playing 7,283 yards long this week, it’s a par 72 Parkland layout that will definitely suit the accurate ball strikers.

Over the past few years between Spring/ Summer profits have shown in the thousands inc Brian Harman 110/1 (The Open) Stewart Cink 150/1 (RBC Heritage) & Lucas Glover 95/1 (FedEx St Jude) so click the link below & join us all today.

The weather forecasts hot & sunny conditions for the most part with the threat of some thunderstorms on Saturday.
Breezes will peak at around 15mph.

This event will be screened on Sky Sports Golf with live coverage starting at 7.30 am on Thursday morning. Remember to place any pre-tournament bets by 1.30am Thursday.

So let’s move on with this weeks Indian Open betting tips.

Jordan Smith 18/1 EW

For my first & main selection in New Delhi I’m going to recommend Jordan Smith 18/1 EW PaddyPower 1-8 places.

The Englishman has really caught my eye recently having started the year with 4th place at the Dubai Invitational, he then went on to finish joint runner-up at the Jonsson Workwear Open & Glendower is as good a track as any for comparisons to this week's venue in India.

This season Jordan Smith rank's 6th on the DPWT for Greens in Regulation, 12th Stroke Average & 20th for Driving Accuracy, all figures inside the Top 20 & there has been signs that the putter is improving.

This Gary Player Course should suit Jordan Smith & he can boost his 88th place in the world rankings with a W this weekend.

You’ll be struggling to find many more above that mark in the field this week & Jordan Smith can take full advantage. I’ve always said that consistency pays & hopefully it’s pays off for both us & Jordan Smith in the Indian sunshine on Sunday morning.

Ewen Ferguson 20/1 EW

For my next best selection I’m going to single out Ewen Ferguson 20/1 EW Ladbrokes /Coral.

The Flying Scotsman already has five Top 20 efforts under his belt in 2024 with two of those being inside the Top 10, T9th Qatar Masters & T7th Magical Kenya Open a definitely worth a mention.

It would have been even more if not for a couple of 11th place finishes but all in all that’s as consistent as it gets. It’s been an amazing start to the year for the young Scot & the Glaswegian's bank manager will be smiling for sure.

He’s playing even better & striking the ball sweeter than last year where he has half a dozen Top 10’s on the DPWT but it’s about time Fergie landed the hat-trick having not won since scooping both the Qatar Masters & ISPS Handa World Invitational in 2022.

Ewen Ferguson is one of the most accurate ball strikers on the DPWT where he’s ranked 4th best Off the Tee & his Greens in Regulation figures aren’t too shabby either ranked 19th on Tour.

The door could be wide open for Ewen Ferguson to bag another DPWT title & it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest going on recent form, the Scotsman’s in fine fettle to do just that.

Matteo Mannassero 70/1 EW

For my final DPWT pick & I really mean my final DPWT tip on MFT (more on that later) I’m going to point you all in the direction of Matteo Mannassero 70/1 EW Boylesports 1-8 places.

The price for the Italian fluctuates wherever you go. 80/1 is available with some firms but with only five places while some of the firms only offering 60/1 but I’m opting for 70/1 with added insurance.

This multiple DPWT winner who has to regain his DPWT card from the Challenge Tour last season has already shown who he deserves to be in amongst the big boys.

It didn’t exactly take long for the Italian to bag another W when winning the recent Jonsson Workwear Open & I’ve already highlighted how good an indicator Glendower could be for this weeks DLG Golf & Country Club venue.

The only thing that puts me off Mannassero is all the missed cuts but then he has a habit of producing amazing performances.

However he’s played this difficult track twice and made the cut on both occasions finishing T3rd around here in 2017.

Matteo Mannassero has found his mojo again especially after that recent victory & this could spur him onto another victory in the next few days.
