The Christmas weekend starts early this week with tonight’s clash between Crystal Palace and Brighton at Selhurst Park.
Palace might have unsettled Manchester City again at the weekend but the 2-2 draw made it six without a win for Roy Hodgson’s side who have slipped to 15th in the table.
Hodgson might count himself unlucky not to have picked up more points in that spell since three losing goals were conceded in the 83rd minute or later.
Brighton continue to baffle punters. Their 2-0 defeat at the Emirates was to be expected but their last 12 league fixtures read LDWLWDDDLDLW – a model of inconsistency.
On their day they’re capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone but can they really be relied on at 5/4? I’ve noticed that the bookies have been offering boosted odds on the top ranked player getting one 180+ in each set, they must be raking it in, I don’t think it’s landed yet.
I’ve been backing the both players to each hit a 180 in each set and landed a 200/1 and 66/1 so far so worth some loose change on them when the odds are high.. Some matches are as low as 10/1

van Gerwen was something like 1.08 to win, so I thought it was likely he’d get most 180’s and the best check-out @ 2.1
But nope. He only got 2 180’s whilst the under-dog got 3. So, bet down. Fortunately I was only using a tenner of free bets on that one.
