Over the next two nights we'll learn which teams will complete the line up for the group stages of this season's Champions League.

There are six places up for grabs and each Play-Off tie is on a knife-edge after last week's first leg.

Galatasaray look to be in the strongest position to progress tonight after a 93rd minute goal by Norwegian Fredrik Midtsjø gave them a 3-2 win at Molde last week. Now they must complete the job in Instanbul and there could be goals once more. The Turks have plenty of firepower in the shape of Mauro Icardi and Dries Mertens, both of whom have scored already in their qualifying campaign.

Galatasaray are priced up at 8/13 to win and it's a similar price for them to score two against a Molde side that conceded two in the Faroe Islands in the previous round.

Maccabi Haifa have made it all the way to Play-Offs from the first qualifying round and they're now just one win away from the Champions League group stages. Young Boys will have been pleased with their 0-0 draw in Israel last week but they failed to register a shot on target and coach Raphael Wicky admitted they'll need to be more clinical in Switzerland tonight.

But the Israelis will be dangerous opponents. They've already seen off Slovan Bratislava, Sheriff Tiraspol and Hamrun from Malta. For a value bet tonight Maccabi could be worth a look at 10/3 to win or 7/4 to qualify.

In the EFL Cup Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to build on the excellent starts they've made in their respective leagues with wins over Tranmere and Fulham.

The Foxes should be too strong for their League Two opponents assuming they put out a decent-strength team and we know that Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to land a first piece of silverware for Spurs since 1991 so we can expect him to take the tournament seriously. A double on both to win pays 27/10 at Bet365.

    Fulham v Spurs
Over 3 Alternative Goal line at 2.075 (NAP)
Spurs have no need to rotate in the domestic cups as they aren’t participating in Europe this season, this cup will be one of their aims. Spurs have started the season well and whilst they are scoring goals i’m happy to take that angle on tonight before the goals inevitably dry up for them.
    Best of luck

There will be changes Macca. Ange has already stated this. Most likely Lo Celso will come in along with a couple others. Agree should be goals

Good bet macca, follow you quite a lot but also just to say that I don’t think the goals will inevitably dry up. Poor pundits say we will finish bottom half without kane. We will score more without him, nothing on him but we have had defensive managers for years. This year we will pass 100 league goals scored almost certainly improving on last year’s 70 in total.

My bets will be corners in first 10 mins, haven’t checked bet365 odds yet but players coming in will want to prove and if anything like how we played against barca pre season with the 2nd team then in for a good game… if it was televised!!!

6/4 over 0 spurs corners first 10 mins!
      8/1 over 1
25/1 over 2 speculative but you never know…

We haven’t really started playing exactly how he wants yet but thinking we will be eager? Here’s hoping 🤞 GL all

@hammy730 over the long term (season) Spurs are surely going to miss Kane’s goals, Richarlison isn’t reliable.

    • Avatar of hammy730
      hammy730 1 year ago

Of course we are going to miss his 30 goals, but they came in a defensive team, our chances in games and touches in opp boxes have almost doubled, admittedly richarlison will get us 15, maybe pushing 20 goals in this team, scoring half of what kane would have done, but son, maddison and kulusevski can contribute and do think we still need another striker obv. Richarlison gets a lot of stick but does press well and make the runs to create space for goals, just confidence hopefully, does well for Brazil anyway!

Chelsea now 1/2 to finish in top 6…Before they played Luton on Friday they were 4/7..

i still think this a belter of a bet..

i,m basing my judgement on that 30 mins against West Ham…altho they lost that match, their performance was incredible, which clearly suggests they have the availability which i think in the longer term over the season this will shine throo..

Who’s going to score their goals, if they get an injury or two they are up sh*t creek.

A few bad results and you’ll get a better price than that. What you also have to consider is 5th place should be enough this season for Champions League qualification (as long as our teams continue to perform in Europe).

    availability ability..

    • Avatar of bobby miller
      boabee8867 1 year ago

Macca, you may well be correct, but as always it will be the Performances of the Squad over the Season that will determine that…

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 1 year ago

Performance aside if you haven’t got a striker which is a certain position in a team game then it’s going to effect the team as a whole, nothing to do with performance, I remember years back when Sterling was sold to Man City Liverpool struggled to score goals as they didn’t have a decent striker, Chelsea recruited well in defensive midfielders but ignored the main position. Also worth noting ffp, I’d be amazed if some teams aren’t collared during the season.

  8. Avatar of bobby miller
    boabee8867 1 year ago

okay then, it will be the Results of the squad without a Recognised Striker over the Season that will determine

    • Avatar of mark edley

Didn’t you tip Middlesbrough for this season also even after selling their striker to Ajax. Surely that’s a pointer for you there.

  9. Avatar of bobby miller

Yes, i did, but as we are only 3 events into the season, i don,t know how that prediction will turn out till the remaining events are played out…

    • Avatar of mark edley

Lets hope they can turn their form round and perform better without their main striker.

In betting on Wrexham Vs Bradford, one should stake with caution. The odd given for over 2.5 goals is 1.71, I would like the punter to stake on 12 double chance one to win.

Was thinking 3 corners each half minimum, so 6 minus 1 would be enough. Got both bets on so 🤞

Fulham have agreed a £13m a deal with Sevilla for Argentine forward Lucas Ocampos.

Should increase Fulham’s card count quite a bit 👍

Just the 3/8 winners yesterday so not the best start to the US Open. However, thanks to the NAP and NB winning it was only a small loss.

Apologies some of these matches below have already started. Been a manic day & was hoping to post this morning.

    Treble @ 1.85 Bet365 (NAP)
    Vondrousova 2-0 x Sabalenka 2-0 x Medvedev Under 18.5 Games

    P Martic -2.5 Games v T Maria @ 2.02 Pinnacle (NB)
I think this is a bad match up for Maria. Her slices will have little impact on Martic who can deal with them with her own effective slice game. Although the head to head matches were over 5 years ago little has changed in regards to these players. Martic won the last 2 matches back in 2018 dropping just 7 games combined. I can see a similar scoreline to the Maria loss last week against Sorribes Tormo which was 6-4 6-3.

    R Montgomery to beat E Lys @ 2.62 Skybet
I feel the odds should be an awful lot closer in this one. Only reason I can think that Lys is so heavily favoured is due to her qualifying results. However, she beat a declining Vandeweghe & 2 players ranked 137 & 365 so nothing spectacular. The Lys serve is pretty poor & it is Montgomery who has the more powerful game along with the better serve. As long as she can keep errors down she has a great chance in this one especially with the home crowd behind her.

    Other plays:

    Putintseva to beat Trevisan @ 1.80 Bet365
    Double @ 2.40 Pinnacle
    Harris v G Pella Over 3.5 Sets x Etcheverry v O Virtanen Over 3.5 Sets
    Double @ 2.26 Pinnacle
Altmaier v Lestienne Over 3.5 Sets x Baez v Coric Over 3.5 Sets
    Harris v Pella Over 38.5 Games @ 1.92 Unibet
    Etcheverry v Virtanen Over 38.5 Games @ 1.85 Pinnacle
    Wawrinka v Nishioka Over 38.5 Games @ 1.92 Pinnacle

    Best of luck all
