There'll be an expectant crowd at Easter Road tonight aniticipating a Hibernian win over Andorran minnows Inter Club D'Escaldes.
Anything less and there could be some dire consequences for manager Lee Johnson before the league season has even begun.
A late goal by Joe Newell wasn't enough to save the Hibees from the embarassment of defeat to a club from the nation ranked second lowest in Europe but it has made tonight's task a little easier.
After the 2-1 loss in the principality Johnson's side need to win by at least a couple to get the job done inside 90 minutes and are just 1/4 to score two or more. They're a backable 5/6 at SBK to hit three or more. That should be the least they're targeting against a side who are only competing in Europe for the fourth time in their history. Over 3.5 Goals for the home side also appeals at 2/1.
Another team with some wrk to do tonight are Rosenborg who welcome Crusaders to Lerkendal. The sides shared four goals last week in Belfast but the Norwegian side should show their quality at home this evening.
It's not been a vintage season in Eliteserien for Rosenborg but they've found a bit of form in the last few weeks winning their last three. Crusaders finished 5th in Northern Ireland but qualified for Europe thanks to a lifting the Irish Cup thanks to a favourable run to the final.
Irish Premiership side Glentoran were knocked out in the previous round by Maltese opposition while Linfied trail 5-2 from their first leg against Polish opposition and Larne lost 3-0 in Kosovo so this is as much a bet against Crusaders as it is for Rosenborg. After scoring two at Seaview last week the Norwegians could go one better with three or more at 11/10.

Saturday 3pm League 2
Sutton v Notts County
Notts County goals to score 2+ 8/13 6.5 units
Notts County goals to score 3+ 2/1 0.5 units
Notts County scored over 100 goals last season in the National league. Away from home they were especially free scoring. Only 4 league games they failed to score at least 2. Additions to the squad have been shrewd to say the least. David McGoldrick, who scored 25 goals in 45 games last season for Derby in league 1, and was actually voted their player of the season. He is a hometown lad and started out his career there 19 years ago, has returned even though he was òffered more money at Derby.
Having both Macaulay Langstaff and David McGoldrick along with new signing and creative midfielder Dan Crowley should see them continue to score freely in this division.
Sutton look stronger on paper than last season, they’ve added a few decent players. They’ve looked poor in pre season but they will just need a little time to gel I’d imagine.
Just can’t see Notts County at ĺeast scoring 2 here. Went for a fairly high with a small bet on 3+.
——————–
Ante post tips league 2
●Notts County top 7 finish 8/11 @ Betway is a good thing. The reasons mentioned above and along with past seasons teams promoted from the National League have performed well. They, along with Wrexham, were head and shoulders above any other team.
● If you’re looking for an absolute nailed on bet look no further than Salford top half at 4/7. I actually backed this bet at 4/6 the night before they drew with West Brom in a friendly. This bet should be around about 1/12, it is completely laughable. Salford are usually starting the season with a new manager and a host of new players. This season they have kept Neil Wood, they have kept the majority of their players, and addeda few shrewd signings. They will be a far more settled team, and will improve. They were the top scorers in the division last season. They have money to buy players in the window if needed. Everything is set up for them for a good season. The league does look tough on paper with , Wrexham, Notts County, Stockport, Mansfield, so the bet for me is top half. I have this as my banker in every one of my season long bets. The only way it loses if they randomly get hit with a points deduction for fair play, but there is no sign of anything like that to come. They are 6/4 for top 7 which is decent, I’ve just took this bet in my smaller ante post bets.
Good luck everyone today, and we’ll done any winners yesterday.

Not a huge fan of Korpatsch especially on hard courts. Wickmayer has been in great form recently and should dominate this match. Was going to play the -3.5 but will go for the slightly higher line.
Hi pal, as I said before keep posting, everyone on here likes a well reasoned bet and you certainly provide that. I think perhaps what would help me for example is if you gave us a best bet among them all. If I choose to follow, I’m likely only going to pick one or two of them to play, maybe a daily double, and I think most on here will do likewise, it would just help us see what you really like and follow it. There will be others who follow every bet, so pleas continue, I just didn’t articulate myself very well before.
And thanks pal for the kind words – I’m doing well, thanks for asking 👍🏻
Times and tournaments would also help us dafties find the matches 😂👍🏻
That’s really great to hear mate.
I have been over the last week or so posting a NAP and NB similar to Hull so hopefully that will help. I used to list my units but given all the previous issues with a certain individual I changed this to avoid all the unnecessary aggravation.
More than happy to list the venue and times etc if that helps people.

MJT – keep it up mate your tips are some of the best I’ve seen on this site. The masters tips are dreadful and not worth following at all. He sees the green ticks and hates that he missed out on some cash…
Thanks mate but no need for the dig at the Master. He just thought I may have played a few too many yesterday which is just his opinion and everyone is entitled to that. Haven’t taken what he said personally in any way and will always listen to constructive criticism.
Cheers again though for the kind words. Not been posting for that long so don’t think I can be spoken in the same words as others on this site.
There was no criticism, all I did was ask for tournie times and maybe a nap, which MJ has kindly obliged with. In fact when our bald Irish friend, of which you are probably one of his 500 duplicate accounts, was noising the guy up I was the first to defend him and thank him for his contributions.
Let’s stick to the betting lads – no place for petty squabbles and sniping…I’m sure there’s enough of that in all of our own lives to be having it here.
Folk will make/take of the site as they will but it’s always been a place to get away from things and focus on betting thoughts – good, bad or indifferent. Let’s keep it that way.
Good luck all with punts today 👍
Fair enough. Sorry master. My apologies. My tips are dreadful and not worth following either. Perhaps I meant to put that. Lol

WTA Prague – Start time around 16:00pm
Noskova v Raina Under 18.5 Games 2.12, Unibet
Noskova looked good in her opening round & should be far too good for Raina. As long as there are no nerves in play this should be a routine straight sets win. Noskova won 6-4 6-0 in the only previous head to head in 2022, but could easily have been 6-2 6-0. Raina will battle hard but she always struggles against power hitters as seen in her crushing 6-0 6-0 loss in qualifying here to Yastremska. In that match she won just 21% of service points. Noskova has power but is more consistent than Yastremska. As I say my only concern in this one is her nerves with Noskova only being 18 and playing as big favourite in her home country. In terms of talent this one should be a one sided victory so willing to make a small play.
ATP Kitzbuhel – Start time around 13:30pm
L Djere v P Cachin Over 22.5 Games 1.86, Pinnacle
This should be an extremely close match with both players playing well over the past few weeks. Cachin won Gastad which is a similar high altitude event so will enjoy the conditions here. I was slightly worried about the fatigue factor for Djere having lost in the final in Hamburg last week but he looked really good in his last match. They have played each other once before with Cachin winning 3-6 6-1 6-1 but that was almost 8 years ago so difficult to take much away from that. I struggle to see either player winning this one easily as it really is a coin flip on the day as to who wins this one. The over could land with a close set even if it was won in 2 but I think this has every chance of going to 3 sets.
Will post my plays for Washington/Mexico later today.
Good luck all with your bets
Also the delayed match from yesterday (Hruncakova) will be playing at around 14:00pm in case anyone is following that one.
Thanks sir…the times are a big help to find the matches. I never knew there was so much tennis daily! Lol.
I’ll put a crap tip of my own up shortly 😉
No worries mate 😉
Yeah there are a lot of tennis matches especially at the start of the week. That’s why Monday-Wednesday I tend to have more plays. Towards the end of the week I may only have a few. Also when there are bigger tournaments on they have more players in the draw. May explain why I had 9 plays yesterday.
With the times I put down these will only be a rough guide. Unless a match is on first, the times will always vary based on when other matches are complete. Also rain delays etc will play a roll but hopefully it will give people some idea.

Not posted for a long time.
Fancy a game tonight in the conference qualifiers
Haverfordwest v B36 Torshavn
current score is 1-2
This game is not in Haverfordwest but the city of Cardiff stadium, which is a larger pitch than they play on.
They were outplayed in the first leg 2-0 down but managed to get 1 back.
I don’t see them improving especially as they are playing away and on a larger pitch.
B365 BB B36 Torshavn win and 0.1.5 goals 2.60 was 2.75 last night.
Also Fancy Barry town to beat Aberystwyth on the weekend but game not available yet.

Hibs managed to register one of the most embarrassing results in Scotland’s illustrious recent European roll of honour – no mean feat among some of the teams our clubs have exited to. To get beaten by the third best team in Andorra was horrific and there’s no doubt a repeat would see Lee Johnson doing the Full Monty dance down the P45 queue. Hibs will be fully wound up tonight to put it right and I think they will do so with a bit to spare. Few bets I like, bet365 betbuilder to be winning ht-ft and by more than a goal is evens, and I’m all over that. Add in to do so to nil at again I’m all over the 17/10 that throws up. Finally, LiveScore bet offer 17/20 -3.5 corners which looks a total steal as this game is going to be played in the away team’s half as they try and hang on to their lead. Good luck if you follow.
When I saw the score on this match last week I was thinking corners would be the bet. As long as Hibs don’t score 2/3 early on you would certainly expect them to have all of the ball. Won the corner count by 5 last week as well. Skybet go 10/11 on 8+ corners but I find it hard to imagine that the Andorrans will get many corners. So perhaps even the -5 handicap should have a good chance at 13/10 William Hill.

Ive a sore heed just looking at the amount of Conference league qualifiers and trying to work out which ties are worth a punt so it’ll be a random Yourodds for me tonight. Although i have a wee incline for a penalty and a red tonight at Easter Road, the Andorrans have collected 4 yellows in each of their last 2 qualifiers and they will be up against it for long periods tonight……

ATP Washington
Treble
Wolf x Tiafoe x Pegula 2.15 Pinnacle (NAP)
See reasoning below for Wolf. Tiafoe should have too much for Shang with his power. Pegula likewise should get the better of Stearns who lost in qualifying and only made it this far thanks to a lucky loser spot and being drawn against a poor player in the 1st round.
ATP Washington
J Wolf -1.5 Sets v M Mmoh 1.98, Pinnacle (NB)
Think there has been a massive overreaction to the Mmoh win last time out. Yes he played well but it was against a player with a poor return game and very little rally tolerance. This match up couldn’t be any more different from that. Added to this the huge one sided head to head with Wolf winning 3-0 and in the 7 previous sets he has only managed on one occasion to achieve 4 games. Mmoh would have to serve incredibly well in this to have any chance. This matchup clearly suits Wolf and I struggle to see why the result would be any different this time around.
Will post some further plays below shortly.
On your nap pal
Final plays for today:
ATP Washington – start time around 22:00
A Shevchenko to beat D Evans 2.52, Pinnacle
Think this is a great price on Shevchenko here. He battled brilliantly in his last match winning in 3 sets against Korda and has the perfect aggressive game for these courts. Evans has been in awful form for most of this season and managed to get just his second win since April. He also has very little pace on his groundstrokes which should sit up perfectly for the power of Shevchenko. The last win may regain some confidence for Evans but at these odds it is certainly worth a small play.
ATP Washington – start time around 21:00 & ATP Los Cabos start time around 05:30
Double:
Eubanks v Thompson Over 21.5 Games x B Boric to beat I Ivashka 1.90, Unibet
I would be very surprised if the Eubanks v Thompson match doesn’t have at least 1 tie break, but either way it should be a close match. Coric won comfortably in his last match against the average Jung but he is also now playing against a player completely out of form and who’s serve has been pretty poor all week. So far Ivashka has served 19 doubles in just 2 matches. Would be very surprised if Coric doesn’t take it in straight sets.
WTA Washington – start time around 19:00
C Garcia -1.5 Games v M Kostyuk 2.03, Pinnacle
I really like the chances of Garcia in this match up. Kostyuk played a gruelling almost 3 hour match last time out when saving match points in defeating Andreescu. Garica can be inconsistent at times but had a great North American run last summer winning Cincinnati and getting to the semi finals of the US Open. They have played twice before with Garica winning in 3 sets on both occasions. They were both on clay so this faster surface should favour Garica more given her serve and aggressive style and I just feel she will over power Kostyuk in this. She just needs to serve well and keep the error count relatively low and I think she should get this done in straight sets. However, with such a low line even if this did go to 3 sets it would have a chance as long as she doesn’t lose a set easily.
WTA Washington – start time around 23:00
M Sakkari -2.5 Games v L Fernandez 2.01, Pinnacle
I think the odds on this one are a little generous and may be based on the recent wins for Fernandez. She doesn’t have the best backhand in the world and I would imagine Sakkari will likely outlast her in most of the longer rallies. Sakkari has a very good forehand and will need to target that weaker area of the Fernandez game. They have one previous match with Sakkari winning 6-2 6-2 back in 2021 on hard. Fernandez hasn’t beaten many top players of note in recent time and I think the consistency of Sakkari will be too much for her.
Best of luck all
Made us sweat in that tie break, great shout pal. Lumped it
Yeah Wolf certainly made that 2nd set a lot more difficult than it needed to be that’s for sure.
Jumping on the Hibs corners bandwagon
They have hit 7,9,8,7,8 corners in last 5 matches. The prior 4 matches were against the best of SPL teams.
Hibs should hit double figures tonight in corners in match they need to go for it.
Hibs over 8.5 corners at 2.85
Hibs over 9.5 corners at 4.05
Don’t usually touch these European qualification matches as i find it too difficult to gauge the quality between the respected teams and leagues but going to have a bash tonight , both the first legs of these saw plenty of goals ,

Nice one mate. I managed to get on the -5 corner handicap and was a little worried at half time but it was comfortable enough in the end.

Hills are doing enhanced odds of 12/1 from 9/1 of Leicester, Derby and Wrexham all to be promoted. I suppose Wrexham are the big unknown here maybe, but seems a reasonable shout to me. What do people think ?
Personally i would avoid Wrexham, conference football is a far cry from league football despite the 1 tier difference. Everyone thought moneybags Salford would go up automatically after promotion and it didnt go too plan.
Too be totally honest mate thats a pig in a poke bet. Leicester & Derby also have lots too prove to get out of 2 tough divisions
Best advice is leave well alone
There’s not much between the conference league and league 2, Wrexham are well funded so should easily compete in a division higher, it will also be a difficult ground for any team that visits, they have a chance of a second promotion worth a punt imo.
Macca you reckon Leicester,Derby & Wrexham to be promoted is a good bet at 12/1? Thats a crazy bet IMO buddy
Theres not much difference between Conference & league football? How many teams promoted from the Conference have gained promotion the following season? Not that i know for sure but i will bet that it is a very small minority
No mate I reckon Wrexham are a good bet for league two, I wouldn’t put off anyone doing a reverse forecast with Notts County either, they both will probably push each other all the way again. I don’t think there is much between the two leagues at all, Wrexham are a big club they will do well and that’s why they are favourites to win the league. Now if you compare the Championship to the Premier League that’s where the gulf is. Lots of teams have been promoted from the conference and done well in their first season in League 2 in reality were talking about division 4.
Agree
América-MG v Red Bull Bragantino

Copa Sudamericana
1st leg
BTTS 10-11 HILLS
Red bull slight favourite based on their 6th place standing in the league I presume.
They are unbeaten in 6 copa sudamerica games scoring in 5 of them including all 3 away games
America sit 2nd bottom in Brazil but have scored in their last 15 games and have scored in all 6 copa sudamerica games this season.
As it’s a 1st leg could be cagey though.
Prediction 1-1
I agree with macca, Stockport went up pipping Wrexham last year and reached the play off final and are not as well funded as Wrexham.
Bookies don’t often get it wrong and their 3 favourites for promotion are
Wrexham
Stockport
Notts county
All 3 recently promoted from the conference
Elvis the bet is Wrexham,Derby & Leicester to be promoted at12/1. Do you honestly think that is a decent bet?
For me its a wild one
Leicester the unknown quantity smokey, it’s how they react to life in the championship after being scuppered by a crap manager in Rogers. Might take them time to recover
Wrexham I say yes and derby won’t be far off.
Wouldn’t touch Derby or Leicester.
Leicester are gone as a force now unbelievable how they are where they are with the players they had but that’s Brendan Rodgers for you.
Rodgers steered them to 2 top 5 Premiership finishes in a row (second and third-highest finishes in the club’s history)
He also won their first ever FA cup
He won the Community Shield, beating the league champions.
And he took them to the semi-final of a European competition for the first time.
In 4 years, BR had a winning percentage of just under 50%, the best ever for any Leicester manager apart from Pearson (who only did it in a lower league, and in a shorter spell).
That’s not the record of a crap manager, that’s a top manager, by any standard.
If you don’t keep up the investment and replace the players you sell you quickly fall down the epl ladder. Plenty of an example in the tourist league since money became the main object.
