ARSENAL will be looking to take another step towards Premier League glory by earning three points against Leeds United at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta's men surged eight points clear of Man City ahead of the international break by cruising to a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
As such, the Gunners faithful are daring to dream about clinching a first English crown since the days of Arsene Wenger's ‘Invincibles’.
With the second-placed Citizens getting the weekend's Premier League action underway against Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime, table-topping Arsenal will look to fulfil their end of the bargain with a victory over Leeds later that day.
The 14th-placed Whites gave their Premier League survival hopes a boost by recording a 4-2 win away at fellow relegation rivals Wolves a fortnight ago.
That means Javi Gracia's first four league games in charge of the West Yorkshire outfit have yielded two wins, a draw, and a loss.
Outright Betting
Arsenal, who have won each of the last four Premier League meetings between the pair, head into their latest home game as heavy 2/7 (Bet 365) favourites.
Leeds United haven't toppled Arsenal in almost two decades and that long wait is expected to continue, with visitors 10/1 (Bet 365) outsiders while the stalemate is as big as 5/1 with SBK.
Betting Angles
It's a case of having to get creative here with a view to getting the hosts onside here so I'll head to the Bet Builder market and merge Arsenal to Win, Over One Arsenal Goal and Over One Leeds Card at 20/23 (Bet 365).
While Leeds' recent upturn in form should not be dismissed, Mikel Arteta's men boast the strongest home record in the Premier League this season, with their 3-1 defeat at home to Man City the only major blot on their Emirates copybook.
In fact, the Gunners have claimed top honours in 11 of their 14 league games on home turf this term, not to mention this is the type of assignment that Arsenal have been particularly efficient in dealing with in recent years.
What's more, the capital club have clocked up a minimum of two goals in 19 of their 28 top-flight tussles this term, including 11 of their 14 contests in front of their own supporters, which doesn't bide well for a Leeds side that are not exactly renowned for being defensively sound.
As such, I'll back Arsenal to win and to score a couple of goals in the process, but to bump up the price, I'll also go with at least to Leeds cards.
The Whites have been one of the Premier league's most ill-disciplined sides this season with their average of 2.22 cards per-game, and I suspect that trend will continue when they come up against an Arsenal side that have drawn 2+ cards from 11 of the 14 sides to visit the Emirates on league duty this season so far.
One Leeds player who could be worth considering for a caution is Weston McKennie who has been priced up at 9/2 (Bet 365) to have his taken.
The combative American midfielder has already been booked in four of his eight top-flight appearances for the Elland Road outfit and he looks worthy of a small investment to add to that tally on Saturday.
