CHELSEA have finally hit some form under Graham Potter and will be confident of keeping their revival on track when struggling Everton come calling in the Premier League.
After a horror run of just one win in 11 games, Potter was coming under increasing pressure but he has now claimed three victories in a row, including a triumph over Dortmund that booked a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Successive Premier League wins over Leeds and Leicester have also lifted Chelsea up the table and Potter will be now be looking to finish a troubled season on a high.
However, the Blues won't get it easy against an Everton side fighting for their lives as they bid to move clear of danger at the bottom of the table.
Home form is giving the Toffees a fighting chance of staying up, with three wins from four at Goodison since Sean Dyche replaced Frank Lampard at the helm.
But Everton have only claimed a single league win on the road this term, at fellow strugglers Southampton back in October, and need to start getting more points on the board away from home.
They picked up a draw on their last road trip at Nottingham Forest but it was a missed opportunity as Brennan Johnson scored a late leveller to ruin a Slips Tips bet builder.
How the bookies view it
Everton's poor home form makes them 37/5 outsiders at SBK while Chelsea are 10/21 with the same firm to keep their winning run going. It ended in a draw when the Toffees last came to Stamford Bridge and a repeat here pays 7/2 at Bet365.
Recent head to head
Although Everton have been in decline in recent seasons, their record against Chelsea has been good, with four wins from the last 10 meetings. Only three of those games ended in victories for the Blues, although they did win 1-0 at Goodison on the opening day of this season.
Players to watch
Kai Havertz has played a key role in Chelsea's revival with goals in his last two outings. The German remains something on an enigma, with his best position still a mystery, but is now in double figures for the season and seems to be on the penalties. That makes him a good option for anytime scorer here at 9/4 with Bet365.
Everton continue to suffer from the lack of a centre-forward, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin missing so many games through injury. Winger Demarai Gray has started up top in the last two games and netted in the draw at Forest. He will probably get the nod again, even though Calvert-Lewin could return to the squad, and is 7/1 at Bet365 for a goal.
Anything else catch the eye?
Dyche has made Everton more solid in midfield with Amadou Onana teaming up with Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye. That trio will try to knock Chelsea's ball players off their stride and it could pay to back them for cards. Onana has 10 yellows for the season and is 2/1 at Unibet for another card here but Doucoure looks better value at 11/4 with the same firm after six yellows in his last nine outings.
Backing total cards is another good option, with over 4.5 cards a tempting 11/10 at Bet365 while Unibet price over 2.5 Everton cards at 59/50.
I'd expect Everton to sit back and hit Chelsea on the break so we could see a lot of corners as the Blues pile on the pressure. Over 9.5 corners is 4/5 at BetVictor while Bet365 price over 6.5 Chelsea corners at evens.
