Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English National League, and there’s one fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Chesterfield will look to keep pace with the top two in the National League table as they travel to Grosvenor Vale to take on seventh-placed Wealdstone on Tuesday evening.
Wealdstone recorded their third successive victory at home on Saturday afternoon, as they defeated Eastleigh 3-1 and leapfrogged their opponents into the final playoff spot. Stuart Maynard’s men have found the back of the net in 9/12 of their league fixtures as hosts this season – scoring three goals in each of their last three. However, The Stones have kept just three clean sheets at home this season, with just one of those coming in their previous nine.
Before their entertaining 3-3 draw with West Brom in the FA Cup at the weekend, Chesterfield came from behind to record their seventh win in their previous eight league matches with a 4-1 success over bottom-side Scunthorpe. Paul Cook’s visitors have found the back of the net in 22/23 of their league matches this season – scoring on multiple occasions in 17 of those. However, The Spireites have struggled defensively on their travels this season, recording just a single clean sheet from their 11 road trips.

Wealdstone head into this fixture having found the back of the net in five of their previous six league outings at home – scoring nine goals in their last three – and given Chesterfield have scored in all bar one of their 23 National League fixtures this season, I reckon both of these teams will get on the scoresheet once more.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in 16/23 (70%) of Chesterfield’s National League fixtures this season, and given there have been three or more strikes in five of Wealdstone’s previous six at home, there’s a good chance we’ll see at least another three in West London tomorrow evening with both teams contributing.
