Newcastle United were the highest profile casualties in the FA Cup yesterday following a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
But arguably the biggest result of the round belonged to non-league Wrexham who know a thing or two about giant-killing. The Red Dragons wrote their own Hollywood script by knocking out 1987-winners and mid-table Championship side Coventry City in an epic 4-3 win.
Blackpool and Burnley also upset the odds and there's a whole host of teams out to write their name in FA Cup folklore today.
A win for Stevenage at Villa Park would usurp anything Saturday had to offer. Steve Evans' side are going well in League Two, second in the table and 12 points ahead of the play-off zone. But they're up against cup expert Unai Emery who's reputation has built on success in knock-out competitions.
At 18/1 Stevenage are the biggest outsiders today but they'll take heart from some of Saturday's results.
Match of the Day is at the Etihad where Man City and Chelsea meet for the second time in four days. A Riyad Mahrez goal was all that separated the sides in City's favour but Chelsea's injury list was added to thanks to injuries to Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic.
That makes Graham Potter's task all the more difficult today. The fact that it's Premier League opposition could force Pep Guardiola to field a more familiar line-up than he'd have liked.
The Blues have failed to score in their last four meetings with City and with just 20 goals scored in 17 Premier League matches it's clear to see where Potter's side are falling short this season.
City are priced at 3/10 to win but to do so without conceding it's a much more tempting 6/5.
Rangers are unbeaten in five under new boss Michael Beale but a draw against Celtic on Monday wasn't good enough and the Gers now find themselves 12 points behind the champions after the Hoops' 2-0 win over Kilmarnock yesterday.
Dundee Utd usually make things difficult for Rangers at Tannadice, where they've won four points from the last two meetings between the sides, and the Terrors have hit a bit of much-needed form. They're unbeaten in three and only a 94th minute Hearts penalty has prevented them from taking nine points from nine.
Rangers away form has been far from convincing, they've won just five of nine on the road and four of those have been by a one-goal margin. Similarly, under Beale they've only won one match by more than one goal so it could be another close one today.
Dundee Utd on the Double Chance appeals at 9/4, the same price as backing them +1 on the handicap but look to the Asian Handicap where United can be backed with +1.5 goals of a start at 1.900 (9/10) which means that even a Gers win by one goal would still return a profit.

I placed a bet that wolves would receive 2 or more cards during their match yesterday against Liverpool.
22 bet has settled it as a loser.
Wolves actually received 2 yellow cards
Johny receieved 1
Lopetegui (manager) receieved 1
Is it that the manager’s card doesnt count?
Advices pls
I had the same with bet365.
Checked the terms and apparently the manager doesn’t count. Really annoyed.
So so annoying
Tanx Rich
Am pretty sure you have to be on the pitch for it to count so managers staff and unused subs dont count.
What’s more frustrating is Toti didn’t get a yellow card for taking his shirt off haha!
Yep Toti not getting a yellow is the frustrating part haha.
Awful last night was.
Had the same problem earlier this season on the Motherwell v Sligo Rovers game, one of the Sligo bookings was for a player not on the pitch, they didn’t pay out.
Another early bet to start the day…

I see Man Utd and Ten Hag are introducing a Salary cap of £200,000 per week, this is coming from the club that caused the massive hikes in salaries in the first place,David de Gea was actually on 375,000 per week and Ronaldo on 500,000 per week there is no wonder the club is skint.
Since Ten hags come in everything’s going in the right direction on the field and by the looks trying to do the same off the field , you probably need to concentrate on your own team as they loom bang average this season , saw your arrogant statement yesterday that wolves would more or less be out , they was the better side and should of gone through , as for salaries your lot pay ridiculous wages too AS DO EVERY TEAM ie – salah £400,000 who since he re-signed has been again bang average!!
Yeah Deano I noted the “wolves definitely out” too. Bit of humility and less arrogance goes a long way
Difference is Deano Liverpool pay what they can afford to pay,Ronaldo took your lot to the cleaners.
I can’t recall saying Wolves definitely out,i did say i don’t think you need to worry that wasn’t been arrogant Liverpool should be winning against low end opposition at home,as i said last night fairplay to Wolves they was gifted their goals by silly mistakes.
Saying that you doubt they should worry about the fa cup is being arrogant as that’s implying you will beat them and as we know your not very good this season , but we all know that most comments you make are for a reaction!
Liverpool should be beating Wolves at home how is that wanting a reaction.I fully implied we should beat them which we should.
Low end opposition?…. We don’t get that kind of entitled bullshit from other fans. Always the same level of arrogance from the dippers.
We’ve had a bad season and we have reasons for this (bruno Lage) but are clearly turning the corner under a manager who is finally fit for purpose. Last night our reserves took on liVARpools first team and deserved to win. That’s not just from Wolves fans. That’s the opinion of many many none wolves fans. It was nothing about being “gifted” goals.
Even Danny Murphy of all people backed us and the poor officiating/weird rules (whichever opinion you take around the Salah goal and the Toti disallowed goal)
But we can have differing opinions. We aren’t going to suddenly agree. I’m passionate about my team. You’re passionate about your team.
But even as “low end” opposition you’d kill to swap your midfield with ours every day of the week.
I think let’s agree to disagree on the game last night and let’s hope that when you come down to Molineux for the replay that the game is decided on who is best on the night rather than controversy surrounding the Mike Dean show 😂
Come off if Maccathered… “I don’t think you need to worry about being in the FA Cup, Liverpool will go strong tonight and new signing Gakpo will play as will Alisson”… You’re as good as any tipster on here and your tipping is very much valued but to suggest that quoted comment isn’t a little entitled is just wrong haha.
Maccathered you’re an absolute clown.
Never seen a fan with so much arrogance and no humility at all to any other team.
“I don’t think you need to worry about being in the F.a cup ,Liverpool will go strong tonight”
If that statement doesn’t reek of arrogance then I don’t know what does. Whats even funnier is you dont even see it. Remind me a lot of klopp, always blaming injuries, refs etc. Never giving any other other team credit.
Decent tips but but your deluded arrogance towards Liverpool, other teams and folk on here doesn’t help you.
We should be beating every team we play at home that’s not a sense of entitlement that’s how it is,if you support Celtic or Man Utd they expect the same. The team we put out last night we should of won the game with something to spare as it happened Allison and co were well below what was expected and handed Wolves a replay, even the bookies had Liverpool’s Asian line set at -2 so they were expecting something similar.
No the Liverpool of the last few seasons would be expected to beat everyone at home. The Liverpool of this season shouldn’t. This season numerous teams are just better. You have a decidedly suspect defence and a very poor midfield. You’ve invested in GAKPO when id suggest the common sense route would have been investing in midfield.
Liverpool didn’t hand us a replay last night. Poor officiating and VAR/Mike Dean handed Liverpool a replay against wolves reserves.
Had we have won last night I think everyone apart from Liverpool fans would say that it was fair.
Every supporter has bias towards their own team. That’s human nature. But the rest of us know our limitations and can act with a bit more humility.
It’s a shame really because your tips are very very good. You’re amongst the best tipsters on this site but you come across as an entitled keyboard warrior unfortunately.
My bad i thought Allisons pass to your player was a gift he couldn’t miss and ditto for the second goal.Nunez scored from a world class pass from Trent then Salah scored when a Wolves player tried to head the ball back even though he was in an offside position but the rules are if a defender tries to play the ball the attacker will be onside even if he’s in an offside position. No mistakes and there wouldn’t have been any Wolves goals so from my perspective then yeah Liverpool handed you a replay.
Salahs goal. Yes I can accept it. Although it’s a poor poor rule. The ball was played to salad when he was clearly offside and the defender wouldn’t have needed to head it had Salad not been offside. But yes that’s the rule to the letter of the law. So there’s no major argument.
Totis goal wasn’t offside. A multitude of videos and pictures have circulated online now.
The linesman didn’t put the flag up. After the goal started to get all back towards the halfway line a bit. The referee has then signalled to the linesman to put the flag up. Why could that be 🤔
We were the better team on the night

You actually want to dash the bookies money.. There’s no way on earth Chelsea can achieve that in this current situation
Easy to say after the event,Chelsea were or are more than capable of getting something from City.
17.30 AEK Athens v Panathinaikos
No NAP/NB, but a few small bets for interest as I think the odds are quite generous for a derby.
It’s 2nd against 1st – Panathinaikos is 7 points ahead, but have not started well after the World Cup break. They have 1 win and 2 draws and they were lucky to get the win last week as this was one of their worst performance of the season.
AEK Athens is the top form team and the one playing arguably the best football this year, but they suffered a surprise defeat last time. They will want to make it right and are the favourites today.
Both teams are missing players through injury, but Panathinaikos’ depth is almost non-existent and they don’t have enough (if any) quality midfielders/forwards on the bench to help if things go wrong.
AEK Athens to win and over 1.5 goals @2.60
Both teams to score @2.50
Over 2.5 goals @2.87
All with Bet365 – again small stakes for interest.
Not a great game for the first 95 minutes – Panathinaikos hit the bar on 98′ and AEK missed a penalty on 100′!

Good afternoon, guys,
Today’s punt,
Coupe de France – kick off 17:00
Servel Lannion vs Toulouse
BTTS & over 2.5 match goals @ 7/4 with W/Hills
This is a game Toulouse should win comfortably, but they have conceded in
11 of their last 12 away fixtures and conceded 2+ goals in 10 of these games.
As we have seen in the F.A. Cup, if teams don’t approach matches properly,
then slip ups can be made. This punt really depends on the home team scoring.
Good luck with all bets today!!!

Early one for Wednesday nights League Cup game.
Forest v Wolves
This will be a tough tough game. Been to many of our games against forest over the years Home and away.
They’ll be up for it. It’s a relatively local match up and they’ll be smarting after Blackpool did them 4-1 yesterday.
However. Last night has fired the manager up. It’s fired the players up. Potentially the controversy of last night against LiVARpool could be the best thing that could happen to us. Siege mentality is not to be underestimated.
The odds here are decent.
Wolves win – 9/5
Wolves win either half – 10/11
Wolves to score 2+ goals – 7/4
We seem to have a nightmare with our ex players scoring against us. Gibbs-White will be fired up and
If he plays:
MGW 1+ shot on target – 5/6
MGW to score – 5/2
