PSG will be aiming to maintain their impressive start to the season when they host Monaco in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
PSG have made a blistering start to the season and are currently have a 100% record in Ligue 1. Although the campaign is just three matches in, they already look head and shoulders above everyone else and have opened up a two-point lead at the top of the table.
It is not just that PSG are winning their matches, it is the manner in which they have put away their opponents so far, scoring no less than five goals in each of their three matches. Their last outing was a 7-1 victory at Lille, who were considered one of their rivals this season.
Manager Christophe Galtier deserves credit for the way PSG are playing at the moment but one of his major achievements could be getting the best out of his deadly attacking trio. Despite talks of a dressing room rift, Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have been electric this season, and look to be developing an understanding.
Monaco’s campaign has been in stark contrast to PSG’s as they have struggled to find their rhythm this season. They have not won since the opening weekend in Ligue 1 and that has turned out to be their only victory so far across all competitions this season.
Philippe Clement’s men travel to Paris off the back of a disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Monaco in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. They were no match for the visitors with Benoit Badiashile grabbing what turned out to be a mere consolation just before the break.
A small positive for Monaco ahead of the trip to the French capital is that they seem to do their best work on the road with their only win this season coming at Strasbourg. They have claimed five wins and a draw from their last six away matches in Ligue 1, stretching back to last season.

The bookies have installed PSG as overwhelming favourites with a home win priced at 2/11 by Betfred. A victory for Monaco is valued at 13/1 by SBK, who are also offering odds of 38/5 for a draw.

Recent meetings between PSG and Monaco have been evenly split with both teams claiming three wins each from their last six fixtures. The Parisians claimed a 2-0 victory in the last meeting at the Parc des Princes with Kylian Mbappe netting both goals.
