ARSENAL are setting the early pace in the Premier League table and they will be hoping to maintain their place at the summit when they entertain Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday evening.
Mikel Arteta’s men are the only side boasting a 100% record in the top tier following three rounds of fixtures.
The Gunners’ latest success came courtesy of a 3-0 stroll to victory at Bournemouth last Saturday, on an evening where my main south coast section clicked.
The capital club will now look to continue their flawless start to the campaign when London neighbours Fulham come calling.
The Cottagers have needed no time to adapt to life back in the top-flight, with their opening three league games yielding five points.
Having already held Liverpool, and after a last-gap 3-2 win over Brentford last time out, Marco Silva’s men certainly won’t be fazed by the task in hand this weekend.
Outright Betting
Arsenal, who have won eight of their last 10 Premier League matches, enter this all-London encounter as red-hot 3/10 (Bet 365) favourites.
Fulham’s last win against Arsenal was over a decade ago and the bookmakers expect that run to continue, with an away win trading at 9/1 (BetVictor) while a point apiece has been priced up at 9/2 with William Hill.
Betting Angles
Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are short-priced favourites here, so I'll get creative and head to the Bet Builder market and combine Arsenal to score and over one Fulham card at 5/6 (Bet 365).
Mikel Arteta's men produced the majority of their best work at their North London base last season, pocketing 41 points from a possible 57, and falling to defeat on just four occasions.
What's more, the Gunners look like a significantly improved attacking force following their summer spending spree, with the capital club currently the joint-top scorers in the division.
With this in mind, as well as the fact that Arsenal have scored at least once in eight of their last nine Premier League home matches, I'll happily back the hosts to hit back of the net here, but to boost the odds, I'll also throw over one Fulham card into the mix.
The Cottagers have collected a minimum of two cards in each of their three top-flight outings this season so far, not to mention referee Jarred Gillett was averaging over four cards per-game last season.
It's also worth pointing out that the above-mentioned Bet Builder would have paid out in two of Fulham's opening three matches of the campaign, so siding with the same selection in North London looks worthy of interest at 5/6 with Bet 365.
I fancied Gabriel Jesus to make the net bulge against Bournemouth and I make no apology for including the Gunners goal-getter to strike this weekend at 20/21 (Bet 365).
The Brazilian produced another player of the match performance last time out, and after bagging a brace in his last outing at the Emirates, he looks nicely priced to get in on the act when Fulham come to town.
