IT'S a big day in the English Premiership and Man United simply can't afford to fall 11 points behind leaders Arsenal when they might at Old Trafford.

A win for Davie Moyes' men will close the gap to a respectable five so this really is a six-pointer so early in the season.

Actually a draw, while suiting Arsenal more than United, wouldn't be the worst result for either side and i think it's the best the home side can hope for.

United haven't won a big league game this season, losing to Liverpool and Man City and drawing with Chelsea. Arsenal on the other hand are aiming to for their third massive win in eight days having humbled Liverpool last weekend then seeing off Borussia Dortmund in Germany in midweek.

Not many believe the Gunners are serious title contenders but they will if they win this one. While I'm willing to back Arsenal for small stakes at a best 23-10 with William Hill they're a safer punt on the draw no bet market at 11-8 with Skybet.

United are 7-5 favourites with BetVictor and McBookie.com while the draw pays 5-2 at bet365 while a score draw is 16-5 at Paddy Power.

Ex-Gunners hero Robin van Persie has netted in two meetings against his former side and is 5-1 at bet365 to break the deadlock but in Olivier Giroud, 15-2 with BetVictor, Arsenal have their own in-form striker.

Van Persie is 6-4 with Ladbrokes to score without celebrating against and 10-1 to kiss the badge if he nets. To miss a penalty for the second game running the Dutchman is 6-1 at Ladbrokes.

The Dutchman is 9-2 with Ladbrokes to outscore Arsenal entirely while it's 6-1 teammate Rooney does the same. Rooney is a far shorter price for badge-kissing at 4-1.

Earlier on-form Man City head for Sunderland and I'll be a having a piece of Sergio Aguero to score first at 7-2 with Paddy Power.

Struggling Sunderland lost 1-0 at Hull last weekend with nine men and City are just 2-5 at Stan James to suffer a fifth home reverse in six attempts at the Stadium of Light.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team fired seven past Norwich last weekend and although this one is likely to be a little closer City tempt at 1-1 with bet365 starting a goal down.

Argentina ace Aguero has banged in nine goals in his last six games across in all competitions and must be the man Sunderland fear.

The Spurs v Newcastle clash isn't easy to call and a draw wouldn't surprise. Newcastle beat Chelsea last time out and have drawn with Man City and Liverpool in recent games so seem to raise their game against better sides.

Spurs are struggling to put sides away these days, drawing 0-0 with Everton and only scoring two goals in two home games with Hull in the league and cup.

Newcastle have kept back-to-back clean sheets and will go to White Hart Lane and try not to give anything away. Spurs look a bit short to me at a best 3-5 with paddy Power.

This fixture often sees goals but could be a low scorer this time round and under 2.5 goals pays 21-20 at Stan James.

The fourth Premier League match could also be a low scorer as Swansea take on Stoke. The Swans have suffered a bit of a dip and are without a win since sinking Sunderland 4-0. Five of their last six matches have finished in under 2.5 goals as have four of Stoke's previous five. Under 2.5 goals is again an option at 8-11 at McBookie and BetVictor.

Wayne Rooney as scored 10 goals against Arsenal, and I think he can make it 11. I have had quick look at Sundays card and I will be around tomorrow to put up my selections, but I think 2/1 Rooney anytime Bet365 will be tough to beat as my Super Single.

    ROONEY TO SCORE 2/1

Good luck if your having a bet

Man city are finding it hard on their travels and won’t relish coming to Sunderland, who have won one nil on the last three meetings at the stadium of light, don’t be surprised at a similar score this time around, wishful thinking on my behalf

Aswell as going for Aguero to score first, on bet365 you can select under scorecast for aguero to score first and man city 1-0, its 18/1, to me those are fantastic odds and bound to be worth a £5 returning £95

I’m a united fan and as much as it pains me to say, for some reason I can see arsenal winning this 3-1. The odds are a bit nuts on it, around 25/1 at bet365 but worth a fiver.

Terrible terrible terrible terrible day of football on all fronts for my accumulators and probably everyone elses too by the look of things…the final straw for me was when I put a 5-fold on for tonight to give me some interest after piss poor performances from City and Spurs..Juventus,Fiorentina,Zulte Waragem,Barcelona and then St Etienne-Lyon Draw…93rd min winner for Lyon killed it stone dead…thats a week off for me now…absolutely had enough with these terribly unpredictable results..going to get my mental health back!
