Monday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve into the Norwegian second-tier and I’ve selected two matches that I like the look of for goals at both ends.
Grorud vs Stiordals-Blink
🇳🇴 OBOS-ligaen
⏰ Monday 30th May, 17:00
Two of the bottom three go head-to-head at Grorud matchbane, as Grorud host Stjørdals-Blink. The visitors are currently bottom, three points behind their opponents who currently occupy relegation playoff spot.
After leading 1-2, Grorud conceding on both the 87th and 89th minute last time out to lose 3-2 away to Åsane. Prior to that, Aksel Bergo’s side had drawn their last two matches against Bryne and Stabæk, however, Grorud still remain winless having drawn five and losing three of their opening eight fixtures. Grorud are still yet to register a clean sheet and only Åsane (18) and Stjørdals-Blink (17) have conceded more than their tally of 16. The Oslo-based side have scored 11 times in the league, only failing to score against promotion contenders Start.
Stjørdals-Blink lost for the third successive match last time out, as they were beaten 1-3 at home to Sogndal. Snore Lillebo’s side are still yet to register a win in the league this season, collecting just two points from their opening eight fixtures. Blink are yet to register a clean sheet this season and only Åsane (18) have conceding more goals than their tally of 17. The Stjørdalshalsen-based side have found the back of the net in 7/8 of their league matches so far this season, scoring in all four away from home.
Raufoss vs Äsane
🇳🇴 OBOS-ligaen
⏰ Monday 30th May, 17:00
Two sides who’ve made slow starts to the season meet at Nammo Stadion, as Raufoss host Åsane. The hosts lie in 13th position, just two points above the relegation playoff spot, whilst the visitors are only three places and two points better off than their upcoming opponents.
Raufoss put an end to their two-match losing streak last time out, as they gained a 2-2 draw away to Start. Christian Johnsen’s side have won just once so far this season (W1-D4-L3), but they’ve lost just one of their four matches at home and that came against Stabæk. Raufoss have found the back of the net in six of their last seven matches, scoring eight times. However, they’ve recorded just one clean sheet so far this season, with only four sides conceding more than the 15 they have conceded.
Åsane scored twice in the last few minutes against Grorud last time out, to make it back-to-back 3-2 wins. Prior to those two victories, Morten Rossland’s side had failed to win any of their opening six league fixtures (W0-D3-L3). Åsane have found the back of the net in 7/8 of their league fixtures this season, scoring 11 times, with six of those coming in their last two. Åsane are still yet to register a clean sheet this season and no side in the OBOS-ligaen have conceded more than the 18 they have conceded.
Bet of the Day
The only two sides who remain winless in the OBOS-ligaen meet in Oslo and I’m expecting goals between the two sides. Both sides are still yet to register a clean sheet this season and with both also scoring in 7/8 of their matches this season, it’s likely we’ll see Grorud and Stjørdals-Blink get on the scoresheet here.
Åsane come into this having won each of their last two matches 3-2 and will be confident of troubling a Raufoss side that’s won just once all season and who have already shipped 15 times in their opening eight matches. However, the visitors are yet to register a clean sheet and have the divisions leakiest defence. The hosts have scored in six of their last seven, therefore, I’m happy to back goals at both ends in a game that should be end-to-end.
