RANGERS clawed themselves right back into the qualification mix with a win over Brondby in their last Europa League game and will aim to complete a Danish double on Thursday.
Steven Gerrard's side comfortably disposed of a Brondby side who were arguably one of the worst teams to play at Ibrox in recent years in Europe, probably including Alashkert. They failed to do the basics, looked out of their depth and Rangers were a class above them.
However, they still missed a couple of absolute gilt-edged chances so there is danger there.
Rangers once again did it the hard way on Sunday when they went a goal down at Motherwell before sweeping ten-man Well off of Fir Park in a 6-1 win.
Brondby are also improving and their 1-0 weekend win at Viborg was their first away win of the season in the league. They also beat FC Copenhagen in the derby after Ibrox.
But if Rangers can win and Lyon defeat Sparta Prague, they will move up to second and that's quite a carrot.
How the bookies view it
Rangers are odds-on across the board with William Hill's 19/20 being the closest you can get to evens. The Danes are 3/1 with SBK and the draw is 11/4 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Rangers cruised to a 2-0 win in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago as can be seen below. That's been the clubs' only meeting.
Players to watch
Defender Andreas Maxso could be a lively outsider for Brondby. The Danish defender takes their penalties and scored the winner in the derby win over FC Copenhagen. He's a huge 12/1 to score with 10Bet.
Surely Fashion Sakala will keep his place after his hat-trick in Lanarkshire at the weekend and the Zambian striker must be full of confidence. He's an enticing 15/8 to score with SBK.
Anything else catch the eye?
Rangers are now up to winning four of their last five away games in the league with both teams to score and that looks the clear shout here too if you believe Rangers are too short at odds-on. They are attractively priced at 14/5 with William Hill too.
There was a clear gulf in class between the sides when they met at Ibrox and Rangers could and should have won by more. It would be no surprise if they took advantage of Brondby pushing up at home and the 9/10 with BetVictor that they net two or more should land.
Rangers have landed a staggering 26 corners in their last two games so over nine corners at evens should come in with bet365 too.
