There are four fixtures from the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon to look forward to and I'm going to have a look at what is a crunch clash at the bottom of the table involving two teams scrapping for survival.
AIK vs Helsingborg (Sunday 16:30)
AIK face Helsingborg at the Friends Arena on Sunday afternoon but rest assured this fixture won't have a friendly feel to it as both sides battle to beat the drop.
The Stockholm strugglers have won just one of their last 13 Swedish Allsvenskan assignments, while rock-bottom Helsingborg have chalked up just two victories across the entire campaign thus far.
Having said that, Olof Mellberg's men have lost only three of their last 10 league matches and a much-needed three points on Sunday would see them leapfrog AIK and move out of the basement zone.
However, given that both teams collectively have won a mere three of their last 20 top-flight tussles, I'm going to steer clear of the outright betting, however, there is an alternative angle that has caught my eye with the view to backing Helsingborg corners.
The visitors are trading at a tempting 11/10 with Betway to take over 3.5 corners in the Swedish capital on Sunday and that price takes appeal when you consider that Helsingborg are hitting an average of 5.1 corners on their travels this term.
Helsingborg's fixtures are featuring an average of 10.56 match corners per-game this season – the third highest in the division. – and that coupled with the fact that AIK are conceding over four corners per game on average has me attracted to the above-mentioned bet.
When digging a bit deeper it can be seen that Melberg's men have hit four or more corners in three of their last four fixtures, including an eye-catching total of five when they recently visited high-flying league leaders Malmo.
With that in mind, I'm happy to back Helsingborg to hit four plus corners when they come up against a confidence-stricken AIK Stockholm outfit who are perched precariously above the drop zone.
It's also worth noting that Helsingborg's last four league matches have produced over 2.5 goals and another open and entertaining encounter on Sunday would help boost the corner kick tally.
What's more, value could also lie with the 4/5 on offer with Sky Bet for both teams to take at least one corner in each half – a combination that has clicked in six of Helsingborg's last eight matches.
For reasons already discussed I fancy a few Helsingborg corners here but when you consider that the hosts have hit seven, seven, six, ten and then eight corners across their last five home fixtures, I'm also happy to have a play on backing both teams to hit at least one corner either side of the interval.

- Helsingborg Over 3.5 Corners (11/10, Betway)
- 1+ Corner Each Team In Each Half (4/5, Sky Bet)
