I've returned to a quiet card with really just the Nations League games to look at including Poland v Italy, Russia v Turkey and Israel v Albania.
There's no getting away from the fact these games are glorified international friendlies – as illustrated perfectly by Croatia v England the other night.
There are also the real friendlies and that means having a look at Scotland v Portugal. I was on a ferry back from Zeebrugge on Thursday night so missed the defeat in Israel.
P&O had already subjected as to an 80s disco night and bingo so reckoned showing the Scotland game was a step too far.
Going by reports it was a dire display and it's unlikely to get any better against Portugal even if they are minus stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva.
Skipper Andy Robertson will be the only first-choice defender in the line-up and inexperienced Aberdeen duo Mikey Devlin and Scott McKenna are likely to be in central defence.
If Portugal are serious about this friendly they'll win it and I'm tempted to do them as a hefty Super Single at just below evens but before doing that I want to see their starting line-up.
For now I'm going Portugal draw no bet and adding Russia not to lose at home to Turkey and Kosovo draw no bet at the Faroes. Russia have continued their World Cup form with some decent results and should win while progressive nation Kosovo have started the Nations League with seven points from three games and shouldn't lose here.
It's not the most ambitious of trebles but I'm simply easing myself back in this week ahead of the return of league action. And as they say a win's a win.

From a personal standpoint, it’s one of the most unappetising Sunday cards that I can remember. Until I stumbled upon the Serie C games in Italy, I hadn’t planned to have a bet. However, there is a squeak of value for goals in these leagues if you can find the right games. One or two have stood out – but I’m keeping stakes low.
Novara were relegated from Serie B last season and look to have started the season in good form. They scored 5 goals in two away Coppa Italia games to Serie B opposition, while a 1-1 draw and 0-3 away win in Piacenza mean they have started the league campaign well, too. They visit Carrarese today, a side whose opening 5 games have all gone O2.5 Match Goals (a real rarity in this neck of the footballing woods). BTTS has landed in 4 of those 5 and I think this one should see goals.
The second game actually initially stood out more than the above. Albissola’s form is superficially dire having lost all four of their league games, while a 2-2 draw and 2-0 defeat in cup action hardly inspire confidence in them. However, I’m taken by their home form. Maybe their ultras are particularly boisterous, but either way something clearly gets them going at home. They have scored twice in all three home games this season (2-2, 2-3, 2-3), compared to just the 1 goal in 3 away games. Their home form when promoted from Serie D last season was also impressive, (17 games, 13 wins, 1 defeat, 36 goals scored).
Visitors Piacenza have a muddling formbook to tackle, with 2-0, 3-4 and 3-0 wins halted by the formerly mentioned Novara last time out. I fancy them to score here against Albissola’s defence, but the fact Piacenza have twice conceded 3 goals already this season should encourage Albissola at home.
