JACKBLACK (2.40) won with plenty in hand at Lingfield last week and will be hard to beat under his fixed penalty back over course and distance.
Following two wins in novice hurdle company at Fontwell, Jackblack was given a break by Brett Johnson before his Lingfield romp last Thursday. Rossa Ryan takes off 5lb and the forecast good to soft ground shouldn’t be a problem.
MESQUITE (7.40) beat useful Fountain Of Time a neck in a similar fillies’ contest last time out and Ralph Beckett has booked Silvestre De Sousa to do the business at Chelmsford City.
