LIVERPOOL have taken over from Man City as the Premier League's most watchable team and today's meeting with Leicester promises to be a goalfest.

Jurgen Klopp's men can't defend – which explains paying £75million for Virgil van Dijk – but they expect to score more than the opposition and have netted 75 in all competitions.

Their fab four of Philippe Coutinho, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been in sparkling form with the Reds racking up 12 goals in their Premier League games.

Leicester also like to attack at pace and it's set up for goals at either end. The Foxes' matches have gone over 2.5 in five of the last six and last season they were beaten 4-1 at Anfield while they lost 3-2 at the King Power back in September.

Over 2.5 goals pays just 1-2 so consider over 3.5 at 11-10 with BetStars. Twelve Liverpool games this season have gone over 4.5 so that's a possibility at 5-2 with betfair.

With games coming thick and fast Klopp could rotate but he's more likely to do that away from home at Burnley on New Year's Day.

Just to win Liverpool are extremely short at 1-3 so consider Liverpool and both to score at 29-20 with McBookie.

Man City made it a remarkable 18 league wins in a row at Newcastle on Wednesday and should make it 19 at Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Newcastle parked the bus and made it difficult but Palace played out a more open game as they went down 3-2 against Arsenal on Thursday. Four of their last five have gone over 2.5

An extra day's rest will be an advantage for City who are again short at 2-7. Consider City and over 2.5 goals at 4-6 with Ladbrokes at a venue where they have won four out of five.

Man United are winless in three but should get back on track at home to a Southampton side without a victory in seven and preparing to rebuild with £75m – minus Celtic's sell-on fee – in their back pocket.

Bournemouth v Everton and Watford v Carlos Carvahal's Swansea look draws as does Huddersfield v Brighton on a tough Premier League card.

In the Championship best bets could be Leeds who are going for five wins in a row against stuggling Birmingham. Leeds have lost just one in seven at St Andrews and are 7-5 with McBookie.

The big game between Bristol City and Wolves could go either way and goals could be at a premium. Leaders Wolves' last four have gone under 1.5 goals – three 1-0 wins and a 0-0 draw. Under 2.5 goals pays 4-5 at Marathonbet.

Sheffield United ended a barren spell by beating Sunderland and should follow up with three points against Bolton. They are 8-13 at McBookie.

In League One I like Blackburn at home to Scunthorpe at 5-6 with Stan James while Peterborough – four wins in five – can add to Robbie Neilson's misery at MK Dons. The Posh are 7-4 at Stan James.

Wycombe look good in League Two at 13-10 with BetBright at home to Mansfield and Lincoln should beat Forest Green who are back at the foot. The sides were promoted last year and Lincoln have coped better. They are 8-13 at BetBright.

5 of their 7 most recent meetings have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored

Final Verdict – No stopping Liverpool

A rampant Liverpool welcome Leicester to Anfield this Saturday afternoon in what should be a high scoring contest with recent meetings between these two sides proving to be entertaining affairs in the last few seasons.

Liverpool can’t stop scoring at the moment, averaging 3.3 goals per game over their last 16 matches and while they have been held at home in recent weeks by both Everton and WBA, they returned to winning ways with a 5.0 Boxing day beating of Swansea and they will be confident of continuing the form against a Leicester side that have not won any of their last 4 matches in all competitions.

Still, the visitors have been in good form in away matches this season, with their Boxing day loss at Watford their first reverse in 8 away PL matches and they should be able to cause Liverpool some problems defensively with the former champions scoring in 13 of their last 16 away PL contests and in 4 of their last 5 visits to Anfield.

With Leicester having the arguably tougher fixtures over Christmas, they may perhaps suffer with fatigue issues here so I do expect some rotation from Claude Puel and with that, you would expect Liverpool’s superior quality in depth to deliver the goods and I can’t say no to Liverpool scoring 3 or more @5/6 with the Reds so scintillating in their recent performances.

BTTS and over 2.5 goals is priced at even money and based on past meetings alone has a decent chance although it must be noted that Liverpool have improved defensively in recent matches, particularly at Anfield and for that reason, I cannot make this one of my best selections of the weekend although I do like that recent history between the two teams and Leicester’s decent performances in away matches this season and with Jamie Vardy scoring 6 goals in his last 4 appearances against Liverpool, Leicester will certainly carry a threat with their pace on the counter-attack against the high defensive line of Liverpool and for that reason, i do quite fancy the Foxes to score.

With new Liverpool signing Virgil Van Dyke waiting in the wings, Liverpool’s defence will want to put on a strong showing once more but Leicester do have enough quality to bring up the BTTS and over 2.5 goals outcome that has occurred in each of their last 4 meetings with Liverpool but I will be checking the team news before finalising my selections here but the preference is for Klopp’s men to continue their scoring ways with 3 goals or more @5/6 odds.

Best Bets – Liverpool to score 3 or more @5/6 – 3 stars
    BTTS and over 2.5 goals @20/21 – 2.5 stars
