THE January blues are really kicking in – so the best way to cheer punters up is by picking a winning SFL treble.
Once again we have been doing our homework and hopefully have come up with a line that will bash the bookies.
We kick off in the Irn-Bru First Division and focus on Falkirk’s away trip to face Raith Rovers. The Bairns sit in second spot in the race to win promotion to the SPL – three points behind league leaders Ross County.
In contrast the Kirkcaldy men are in a lowly eighth spot, a massive 14 points behind Steven Pressley’s side. The Bairns have won three of their last four clashes with Rovers and after going on a six-match unbeaten run I reckon they have enough quality to take all three points.
Go for an away win for Pressley’s side at 6-5 with Coral.
We move on to the Second Division and turn our attention to Arbroath’s home clash with Albion Rovers. After winning promotion from the Third Division last season the Gayfield men are in contention for a play-off place as they sit second in the division, eight points behind runaway leaders Cowdenbeath.
Arbroath have slipped up in the league recently and are without a win in their last five. But they have drawn four of those five encounters and I am taking them to get back to winning ways against a Rovers side they have thrashed 6-2 and 3-0 in the last two meetings between the clubs.
Go for an Arbroath win at 4-5, widely available.
We finish up in the Second Division and leaders Cowdenbeath’s away trip to face Forfar. The entire division separates the sides with Beath a massive 24 points ahead of this weekend’s hosts.
The Blue Brazil are undefeated in their last five league matches and despite drawing their last two meetings with the Loons I am tipping them to go one better this weekend. Take an away win for Cowdenbeath at 23-20 with Boylesports.
