MY Super Single in the Daily Record was Leicester to win but I thought I was taking less risk with Leicester not to lose and Real Madrid -1.
In the end two late Real goals gave them a 2-1 win and at least kept my challenge bet going. Bet No.7 has been posted and if my 2-9 double wins I've reached my £250 target for the third time in a month.
All of my top tips fell short yesterday but I advised cover on the btts treble that was waiting for a Borussia Monchengladbach goal.

Thursday's a night for caution on the Europa League games and I wouldn't take any to team win without seeing their starting line-ups.
I've put a preview up focusing on Feyenoord v Man United and I'm going with the Super Single I had looked out for the Daily Record which is Marcus Rashford to score at any time after Jose Mourinho confirmed the youngster will start.
Teams who should win tonight include Southampton, Anderlecht, AZ Alkmaar, Inter and Villarreal but all are pretty short and if teams are weakened anything could happen.
Others are better prices who could win are Qarabag, Astra, Zenit, Roma, Celta Vigo and Olympiakos but again look at starting sides before weighing in.

I’m questioning how big the gap in competitive football is between Dundalk and AZ Alkmaar. Certainly the bookies think the Dutch are huge favourites, but Dundalk are here for a reason. AZ lost Vincent Janssen and Markus Henriksen in the summer. Two players who combined roles in 49 of their 70 goals last season in the Eredivisie (70%). Dundalk fell at the last Champions League hurdle but still played fairly well over both legs against Legia and knocked out BATE in the process of progression and I really think they could get something (a goal at least) at AZ.

Hi Alex, when you write odds fractionally it’s 5.25/1 because it’s always one less than the decimal version which would be 6.25. Won’t make much difference but it’s just a small detail
Hi Geo, I am copying the decimal odds directly from the bookmaker’s website at time of posting (Bet365) so I do not need to change anything – in this case £93.81 divided by my stake of £15 = 6.25, which is what I posted above.

I always bet (and thus post my bets) decimally, as that’s why i put 6.25 or 5.03 etc using a dot… If I was posting in fractions I would also post exactly how the bookies offer it as, in fractions, which would be to the nearest point using a forward slash (5/1… 15/2 etc) :)

Really sad to see the reduced crowd and netted fences at Feyenoord today. We are lightyears behind in crowd control at football grounds.

Feyenoord’s stadium De Kuip can be one of the most intimidating in Europe, but there are only 26.000 fans in the stadium tonight and the stands closest to the pitch are left empty + there are 10m high nets along the pitch. Feyenoord are on their final warning at UEFA and don’t take any risks after trouble at a lot of games over the years.
It’s because of violence, i was on a facebook page last night “Ultra’s” or something it was called.
It showed ultra’s from different clubs all over the world and Feyenoord was one of them. Showing fighting and throwing about 50 flares on the pitch. Sorry but i can’t condone behavior like this & i think they have made the right decision. They can only blame themselves
They don’t do that ultra stuff at Feyenoord. It’s pure hooliganism, fighting police etc. You don’t see these things at the Dutch league games anymore, but off the top of my head there was trouble at home to Roma, Besiktas, Liege, Schalke and away at Roma, Nancy and Lille.
Besiktas v Gala was awful. Player trying to take the corner and about 100 cans were thrown at him. Police had to stand right behind him with shield’s up
