IT'S been a decent week and with three days to the end of the month I'm certain I'll finish in profit for the Super Singles and Advised Accas.

After last night's 1.4pt loser I'm 20 points in profit and that's the sort of stats I'd be happy with every month.

Saturday's card isn't too bad but I've opted for value instead of targeting the shorties so bear that in mind and check my Scottish and English previews.

I've picked out two Super Singles – Yeovil and Hamilton – from my shortlist ahead of Leeds, Cardiff and Raith.

Unsually the Top Treble is a European one – Sevilla to win at struggling Sporting Gijon at a decent price, Barcelona -2 at home to lowly Granada and both to score at Darmstadt v Red Bull Leipzig.

I have long shots and some accumulators with better chances – see what you like and don't try to back them all.

Check out the posts from regulars Desmond, Scott Allot, Jordan and Greg Browning and on the comments section HullShaker and plenty others will share their expertise.

For members only you will get Selectabet tips and Greg Browning's overs series – my Bet of the Day will return next week.

Good luck today – I'm off to Linlithgow Rose v Clydebank in the Scottish Junior Cup for a swally so won't be around until later. If I'm lucky my team will win and I won't bump into Alves!

Hi MrF, just looking at prices… Plymouth are 1/1 at home to Colchester, is this a huge price?? i know you’ve picked them a few times and just wanted to get your thoughts, cheers

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

It’s an OK price but I wouldn’t want much less. As I said yesterday almost anything goes in League Two but Plymouth should win.

  4. HullShaker 7 years ago

Mr F – great to see those profit figures at month end…very healthy and I’d say it seems to have been a good month for the site in general.

    Long may it continue ?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Cheers, I’d settle for any profit but 20pts a month equates to £2500 a year for me so it would be nice to do that regularly.

  5. elvis parsley 7 years ago

    Mr f
you say 2 super singles in the write up, Hamilton and Leeds, but you say Hamilton and Yeovil at the bottom of your piece.
    Leeds or Yeovil ???

    • elvis parsley 7 years ago

Shaker, do you ever sleep ?

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      No…it’s highly overrated ?

  6. stagger 7 years ago

MrF, your copy says Super Singles Leeds and Hamilton but they’ve put Hamilton and Yeovil in the actual tip list, unless my eyes deceive me. I saw that Yeovil were recommended in the English Preview, so not sure.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

It’s Yeovil – I changes at last minute but kept Leeds in the homes. Will sort.

  7. stagger 7 years ago

No, my eyes do not deceive me, elvis has spotted it too. Friday is a very busy time and the odd overlook is bound to happen.
Thinking of Morecambe, Plymouth, Notts County BTTS YES, pays about threes. Reasoning a bit later, but I quite fancy this one.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

That’s a shame! I do though share your sentiment Rose will win well. 3-0 or 3-1 Rose for me – just looking forward to a nice day out and few wins from the bookies.

  9. gazh 7 years ago

Bristol R and Exeter both look good bets to me. Especially Exeter-twice lately Morcombe have let me down for decent bets at home on btts,(they have been beat to nil) there home form is truly shocking

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Morecambe have lost last 4 at home and Exeter sit high in the away form ratings so should be an away win.

    • stagger 7 years ago

Yes, I liked the last 3 H2Hs between Morecambe and Exeter (all 1-1) M’cambe surely due a home goal after two blanks. Exeter are poor on scoring so far but have potted in 8/9 last visits to B’Mouth. hmmm…dunno..

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Exeter need a win – talk that long-serving manager Paul Tidsdale is under pressure if they don’t get a result today.

    Morning all

Been up for hours with kids so spent a while researching the following. Since it’s Saturday & as promised @nazalus I have reverted back to a tactic that served me well recently

    Northampton
    Barnet
    Morecambe

    over 2.5mgs treble returns 9/2

    Alloa
    Berwick
    Forfar

    Over 2.5mgs treble returns 3.45/1

    6 fold returns 23.5/1

A bit of a change to what I have been doing recently so all I will be on this afternoon. Will be at rangers game today so maybe have a punt tonight if I get a chance

    Good luck today all

Aussie A League – Newcastle Jets v Sydney FC

Morning gents. The Jets have had a surprisingly good start to the season including a hard fought draw last time out when they battled from 2-0 down to finish 2-2 against the Wanderers scoring twice in the last 10mins. They have also only conceded a miserly 3 goals so far but will miss key defender Lachlan Jackson through injury.

However they have an abysmal record against Sydney, drawing 2 and losing 8 in their last 10 match ups. In fact they have been unable to find the net in 8 of those fixtures! Sydney are flying so far this season, unbeaten, free scoring, and not a single goal conceded! I really fancy them today so will be on the following:

Sydney win @ 10/11 (main bet)
    Sydney -1 @ 2/1
    Sydney and BTTS no 13/5

    Good luck gentlemen!

    • boomshackle 7 years ago

Just been doing a bit of checking and looking at prices in the pending Derby V Sheff Wed match. Although Sheff have not beaten us the last 3 seasons, they’ve found a bit of form whilst Derby have drawn 1 and lost the last from 2 ( a 90+ minute winner from Huddersfield ). I missed the 1st half commentary due to a mountain of paperwork, but the 2nd half sounded promising from the rams. That injurytime winner was against the run of play and with having such a selection of attacking options at his disposal, McClaren is still seemingly picking the way through his best 11. He’s made maybe 1 change each match.
From a betting perspective, the stats suggest a derby double result should deliver – it has for the last 6 matches we’ve faced Wednesday but at 4/11 with bet365 is not representative of value. You see, although we’ve been very slow starters ( in matches ) we tend to hit that tempo with about 35 mins left on the clock.
I think in all league matches this term, only 2 of them have gone over 2.5 tmgs. So going under 2.5 pays 3/5 with the same bookie.
That was my choice bet last week, and although it coasted in, we’ve conceded an equaliser and the winning goal for the 2nd time in half a dozen matches. Wish they’d play to the whistle.
On paper, of a cluttered run-in to xmas, this is one tough game. Sheff Wed have been a big physical side and know how to get stuck in. And that’s before we bring in the Forestieri factor.
For those who don’t know what happened, Derby got a limp-wristed bid from the Owls ( along with every other man and his dog ) for Jeff Hendrick. Derby’s CEO laughed at their bid and duly went ” right back at ya'” – we want Forestieri. Maybe a bit of mind games there but their best player then decided to go on strike insisting he wanted to move to the Ipro. Probably with the threat of ” grow up or you’ll spend the rest of your time here in the reserves “, he apologised to the club and fans. His head was turned then and its no wonder, he’s a tricky winger, a handful and if I remember rightly he likes to hug the left side. Derby’s Christie needs to up his game and our midfield HAVE to kill off the supply to him.

This is possibly the hardest game at home for Derby before xmas and although the stats suggest the rams should get something from this, we’ve 6/4 to win at home. We’ve got to compete. The Owls will be there or there abouts come May and we’ve got to find that missing component to our game.

I personally will be dropping my pot on the double result for Derby, but we’ve GOT to get our noses in front. Preferably before the first 45 is up. ( I can’t remember a Derby goal in the first half this season, if we have, I can’t remember it )
They’re a stubborn side and I doubt this will be much different from the 90% of matches that have gone under 2.5 tmgs this term. I think if it doesn’t end stalemate, a 1 nil could be the winning scoreline. I just hope it is in favour of the rams.

    best of luck folks

  16. snowster 7 years ago

One in the hand is worth two in the bush they say. This could mean many things but in this context it means I was coming home from work and actually put on a coupon in Bill Hill for a change so I can follow a bit of paper rather than an on line punt (but I’m sure I will end up doing this too.) it looked like this:

    To win:
    Watford
    Reading
    Bolton
    Sheffield u
    Carlisle
    Plymouth

    29/1

Rationale: form mainly with the bottom four in really good nick and all are home games. Reading is the risky one on paper but they play forest who, whilst score every game, looked absolutely woeful at Cardiff last week – and they also concede every game. Watford play an under strength Hull with top man snoddy out for a month, the home side also in good nick. Let’s see which one(s) let me down!!

    Good luck all

    • snowster 7 years ago

I think these all won!? If so you are all v welcome!

    Main Bet
Dortmund v Shalke BTTS and Overs 5/6
Arguably the biggest derby in Germany sees Shalke in good form visit Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund still a few injuries and Aubameyang is a doubt. There defending last week a against Inglostadt was woeful and you would expect Shalke to benefit. Shalke are without Embolo after a bad leg break a couple of weeks ago – but even without him I was impressed by the way they took Mainz apart. Hoping for another high scoring Ruhr derby.

    BTTS Breman, Mainz, Darmstadt 4.5/1

    Andre Silva ATGS (Porto) Evens
7 this season and scored in the last 3. Will take him to net for a Porto side who have won their last 27 games against Setubal (some record)!!

Whilst Arsenal will probably romp home I can’t seem to bring myself to put them in any kind of a bet. Sunderland have lost 1-0 in their last two games and Arsenal needed a late winner to beat Burnley recently.

Had a good day out and deserved win for Rose. We stood off them a bit first half and they were much better.

Harsh red plus penalty gave Tommy Coyne a third and that was it.

Leaving shortly for Ibrox park, hoping for a much better performance today although i would not advise anyone to back Rangers.
What i would advise though is plenty of corners in the game, Rangers approach to getting the ball wide and the overlapping wingbacks mean plenty of corners every game especially at home

    Over 10 – 4/5
    Over 11 – 11/10
    Over 12 – 13/8

Man City, Ipswich, Bolton, Plymouth – acca pays just short of 8/1

Cardiff, Leeds, Charlton, Accrington, Rochdale – perm any 4 from 5 plus all 5, min 4-fold pays around 13/1 and all 5 pays over 28/1 (plus the 4-folds)

All to have 2 or 3 match goals – Man Utd, M’Boro, Spurs, Watford – acca pays just over 14/1

Also have Arsenal Celtic double at a shade over 8/5 as mymain bet (Celtic were 5/6 in play when I got on) so hopefully Arsenal can get a winner now that Sunderland have just equalised!

    League 2 BTTS Treble

    Notts Co v Luton
    Plymouth v Colchester
    (over 11/4 Lads FOBT)

Morecambe have to show me something today, surely, after two consecutive home blanks. They’re up against an Exeter side who have netted on 8/9 last visits to the hosts.
County have potted in their last 8 outings and face the league’s joint second top hitters Luton.
The last 4 H2Hs between Plymouth and Colchester have gone with goals all round, and that Plymouth haven’t kept a home clean sheet in their last four gives me hope that Col can bag one today.

Thought about taking this as today’s main bet and after seeing line ups I’m going for it. Hull were trounced by Bournemouth their last away day in the league. Played midweek in the cup on the road in Bristol and now they’re in London against Watford. The majority of Hull’s starting 11 played in that cup tie and could be fatigued with Watford on rest.

Put on three penalty bets, one last night, 2 in the early ko today
One 14/1 winner ( Sunderland ) that gives me a small profit. so i am going for
Palace to score a pen 11/1. to miss a pen 33/1.
    L/pool to score a pen 6/1 . to miss a pen 20/1.
    Ko. 17.30 odds @skybet.

Do you have a staking plan ? was on the Sunderland Game and have small stakes on Palace/Liverpool
      Cheers Alf.

      I put on £ 2.50 per bet £ 10 .00 in total
i have placed 20 bets since 14 oct not counting the Palace game tonight
at the moment i am £ 123,75 in profit , i am watching the palace game at the moment and i think both teams should have had a penalty

    • cockerspaniel 7 years ago

Lost but after 21 bets i am still £ 113.75 in profit.
Good luck to you if keep doing this bet.

    Well done all winners today

  60. fraser51 7 years ago

Leaving shortly for Ibrox park, hoping for a much better performance today although i would not advise anyone to back Rangers.
What i would advise though is plenty of corners in the game, Rangers approach to getting the ball wide and the overlapping wingbacks mean plenty of corners every game especially at home

    Over 10 – 4/5 *WON*
    Over 11 – 11/10 *WON*
    Over 12 – 13/8 *WON*
    Over 13 – 5/2 *LOST*

Keep even stakes and i believe you will come out in decent profit.

    —————————-

Keeping it simple with a treble today:

    Man Utd
    Man City
    Newcastle

    2.07/1

    *LOST*

Very dissapointed, selected City and Newcastle double but thought i would add Man Utd in to boost the odds. What a mug punter i am!
Rangers corners don’t disappoint, pity there wasn’t one more but the foot was off the gas and Killie rarely got forward. Good profit overall.
Much better performance today, it was like a performance from last season, that is the bench mark for the rest of this season, superb movement and tempo.

Evening gents, I’m away out fishing today and tomorrow and would possibly get a better signal on Mars so hope this comes through!

Well done all winners this afternoon/evening, so far it’s been a cracker with 3 out of 3 and I’ll be looking to stretch that run with a couple of Night Owl seletions…

The first pick is a Brasilian game and I like the look of this one…

INTERNACIONAL VS. SANTA CRUZ (21.30 KO):

I’ve no time for a massive write-up and trying to conserve battery but rest assured, I have had a good look at the game before posting…

Just 1 out of 4 from me today which is a bit disappointing. Man United didn’t turn up, at least in the goals department, to shaft me out of a couple of nice paying winners. Fylde, for I’d imagine the first time this, drew a blank to deny the BTTS double. Well done to all winners – noticed Hull had another cracker.
