IT was one out of two on the Super Singles and one out of two on the trebles so another profitable night – the fourth in a row.

Atalanta landed the first SS I put up and the loser was 1pt on Leigh Griffiths to score first for Celtic after line-ups were announced. He would hit the opener too if Patrick Roberts had passed to him instead of take the glory himself.

Cagliari's late goal at Lazio – after earlier missing a penalty – brought up the Serie A both to score treble but the Top Treble was a loser.

If we didn't know it already team news is so important for cup games. I advised wins for Man United, West Ham and Southampton after seeing team news and put on a treble that paid 11-1.

There's a case to be made not to bet on them until you see line-ups but when I'm tipping and trying to put up advice as early as possible it's difficult to do.

After two busy days it's much quieter on Thursday with Palermo v Udinese in Serie A, a few cup games and some Swedish league matches.

I've decided to put up one bet for today and if the stats weren't as good as they were I'd be leaving it out.

Udinese are being tip in many places to win at a Palermo side who have lost their last four at home. Udinese's form is OK – they beat Pescara last time out and have lost some tough games but for me don't score enough. Take them not to lose.

To take my bet up to evens I'm adding over 1.5 match goals in the two Dutch games. This isn't a treble for everyone but with a few wins in the bag this week I'm happy to risk 2.7pts.

Hi gents. Very quiet month for me and still in double digit loss for October so won’t be going in too heavily over the next couple of days. Before the season started I posted a couple times saying how Melbourne City should be good for goals in the A-League again this year, and they haven’t disappointed. Like last year though they were always good for a consolation and that’s the trend so far conceding three at home to Perth last week and once against their rivals Victory prior. Their only clean sheet was in Wellington but Phoenix had multiple efforts but couldn’t get their goal. Adelaide lost their star man Bruce Djite to a Korean side in the summer but still have the firepower to get goals here. They have scored in seven of their eight visits in their history and scored twice or more in six. Their early season form may not be anything to shout about, but Melbournes defence will give opposition chances no matter who it is and I fancy BTTS here with an extra goal for either side likely.

    Friday – Australia A-League – 9:50AM

    Melbourne City/Adelaide United BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11 @ 365 – 3.3 points

Shocking Paul, Imagine going for glory after a magical run and scoring then setting the rest of Celtics goals haha harder game than the scoreline suggests though, quality and depth in it’s finest ?

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Ross County gave them a decent game and Rodgers had to call for the big guns Dembele and Sinclair to see them off.
Looks like the title race is over – and if not it will be on Saturday.

    • Alves 8 years ago

Let’s be honest, over before it started but wouldn’t bank on us winning up there, resting players and that, a draw could be the the shout

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

A draw would be fine for Celtic but Rodgers rested the players last night – reckon he’ll back to full strength on Saturday even with Champions League next week. If Dembele, Sinclair, Brown and Tierney start Celtic should win.

    ISRAEL U19 VS. LIECHTENSTEIN U19:

Last H2H was 3 years ago and finished 9-0 to the Israeli’s and their side/s appear to be getting stronger of late so a few more goals may well be likely.

MLS not my area of expertise but this one kicks off at 3.30 and may well feature a few goals…

LA GALAXY VS. REAL SALT LAKE (3.30 KO):

The two have met twice this year with games of 3-3 (September) and 5-2 (April).

LAG have the best g/d in the MLS top-flight and will be looking to close the gap on 2nd place with a resounding win.

Two selections and whilst both are speculative, they are not without a chance:

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

Cheers, I also advised it on the comments section after I put up teams.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

I’m not claiming anything – just telling you I did the treble and I actually placed the bet at McBookie at 7.44 so it was a last-minute decision using a free bet.
It’s not included in the stats and if I’d had time I’d have put it up as a treble but was working.
As HullShaker said I already advised backing them if team news was good and it was.
At 7.18pm I posted the line-ups for all three games and said: “Man Utd v Man City much as expected (which meant Utd should be backed), West Ham strong and Chelsea resting top men and Southampton should be good enough to beat Sunderland.”

    • gilly 8 years ago

Fair play, valid explanation. Keep up the good work!

    • stagger 8 years ago

Hullshaker is right. People who say no should read yesterday’s post again. He (MrF) clearly wrote : “I’d take Man United and Southampton will beat Sunderland at home unless they make wholesale changes. West Ham could also be a bet if Chelsea go weakened.”
People should act on “advice” or choose not to but don’t complain after the event.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

People who followed the site throughout the day will know I was banging on about checking team news.
I’m not sure what his problem is – West Ham were still 39-10 when I backed them and that was too big after seeing line-ups.

Heading over to Algeria for first bet of the day. Batna host usm Alger and I really can’t see anything other than an away win. Alger have dropped points in 2 out of 8 so far this season and at 6/4 on them to win seems a bit too good to miss

Botosani ought to win here but I fancy the home side to get one.

    Oz Tip

    Melbourne city vs Adelaide

Absolutely agree with Jordans tip on the game with over 2.5 btts and the form that Melbourne are in you can’t knock the 21/10 odds on that and 2-1 correct scoreline at 15/2 on small stakes could be a little tempting. I said the other day that that Brandans 10/3 atgs was nuts, I held back from even mentioning brattan as a goalscorer as I see him more as a provider but at 5/1 atgs before the last game and being one of there 4 main threats still seems nuts but hey who am I to complain about that. The obvious and it has to be is Fornarolli, he’s not quite at his best yet but it will come and it’s still early days and evens for him to score anytime considering he is the penalty taker is quite generous. Brandon is the one screaming at me at 3/1 anytime, he is like city’s alexis! In and out of the game sometimes but forget him at your peril. Joint top goalscorer and scored the second in the last Melbourne derby.

Take your pick of any of these

    Anytime goalscorer

    Fornaroli 1/1
    Brandon 3/1
    Cahill 7/4
    Brattan 9/2

Great odds I would say, I’ll be going for.

    Melbourne win btts 21/10

And a little side bet on

    Fornaroli atgs evens
    Brandon atgs 3/1

    Good luck!

Over 9 would be a safe enough bet.

DC United host Montreal Impact tonight in the second East conference playoff game in the MLS. Montreal have struggled without Didier Drogba as they are relying mostly on Piatti to carry their weight. DC United have only kept one clean sheet since August the 14th but they’ve been able to score plenty of goals, 27 in their last 10.

Patrick Mullins is DC’s top scorer this season and was rested on the final day in their loss in Orlando. He scored in the home tie this year and I’m on him to net.

@craneguy Only 4 players from the normal 11 but the replacements are as good. The Cup is something that’s taken seriously in Ro and from the first Ligue only Botosani failed to qualify further. See if I can get a post up without some kn*bhead having a whinge about it – like being stuck in a lift with Mrs Hull today on here…

    KÖNIZ VS. LUZERN (18.30):

Bullseye’s already put up a fancy for 2 second half goals and I certainly think we ought to see a few.

With both teams seeing 3 or more goals in 4 out of their last 5 games and Koniz seeing BTTS/OVERS in each of the last 4, we shouldn’t be in for a 0-0.

With plenty of attacking play and the league differential between the two I’d expect to see a good number of corners with teams closing down danger the easy way.

For that reason, I’m looking to boost the value of my bet with a combo of goals and corners:

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS + OVER 8 CORNERS…1.67/1

Good luck and a little caveat to all those new to the forum/betting who are so keen on giving advice out…it MAY lose – this is why it is called a ‘bet’ and the collective verb is called a ‘gamble’ ?

It’s a quiet night football night tonight so, just for a few moments, try and imagine what it would be like if there was a Mr Fixit’s Tips Christmas Party and ALL contributors to the thread had to attend.

It would be a classsic: like one those matches that the pundits say “had a bit of everything”.

Close but no cigar in The Swiss Cup…got the corners bit right (think there was 17-18?) but fell a goal short with a 1-1 scoreline – well done all winners.

    German Oberliga 7pm
Basement Boys Vfl Rheinbach salvaged a point in their first league game (and that was a 0-0) and have since gone on to lose their next eight league matches, scoring 4 and conceding 25. They face TV Herkenrath who sit three places above them on 10 points but are on home soil.
In the other game, FC Hennef 05, one place above whipping boys Rheinbach, but who have netted in all five of their home games, entertain mid table Hilal Maroc Bergheim who have managed 9 goals in their 4 aways so far.

    TV Herkenrath WIN
Hennef 05 v HM Bergheim BTTS YES
    (4/5 Coral)

    – it came in.

how many chances is that now mr f? was yourself that chased him off the other nite for slagging you off………..

yup its a quiet nite and a wee bit of banter going on but I’m sure I’m not the only one that takes this forum seriously 99.9% of the time and rely on it for well thought out and researched tips from contributors to try and beat the bookies…………

its been said before more than once its always the same odd one or two that drag things down to gutter level yet they seem to be allowed to return time after time under various pseudonyms……….. just asking the question as to why not making an issue……………

I’d say last chance and he knows it.
I always give people a chance – don’t like banning anyone to be honest but has to be done sometimes.

If he puts up one tip and it wins then fair enough.

I was wondering where did bounty punter go? I remember he was the first looking at Iceland games in the 4 th division for goals. Was it gregg originally?

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

No he isn’t Greg. I’m still in touch with Bounty Hunter.
He’s been busy in a new job and has less time for research but may come back at some point.

    JAMAICAN OVER 1.5 MGS TREBLE

    Night Owl – with a difference…

There’s more meat on the moths in Craneguy’s wallet than there is on tonight’s card – I’ve had s good look at Sport Recife’s Serie A game but binned it as no decent value at all.

Anyone who’s mums and dads are letting them stay up late tonight will find a little more action in Central and South America though…

Jordan has already posted a cracker of a write-up for DC Utd’s game (as has someone else but can’t find post now?) and it looks a great shout for goals but I’m headed 3832 miles due South East for something completely different.

They say you should try everything once and I’ve a horrible feeling that should Tom T’s Xmas Party idea ever get off the ground then some might find themselves trying something they didn’t expect ever to do in that layby off the M6.

As it stands, I wasn’t planning on anything that might get me arrested tonight but it is a ‘biggie’ for me having spent years backing the goal markets and urging teams to make that magic 365 screen ‘blackout’.

That’s right folks…I’m going unders. In fact I’m going unders AND also backing the ‘margin of victory’ market to boot – if it doesn’t come in, I shan’t be backing it again but this game just fits the criteria too well to ignore!

ORIENTE PETROLERO VS. REAL POTOSÍ (1.30 KO):

Petrolera are strong on their own patch – The Estadio Ramon has seen them win 8 out of their last 10 games with 1 draw and a single loss to The Strongest who are themselves having a flyer.

Down to the nitty gritty then and the reasoning as to why I’ve decided to lose my ‘unders virginity’ in godforsaken Bolivia?

6 out of Petrolera’s last 9 wins have been 1-0 victories with an incredible (this is Bolivia folks) 10 out of their last 12 games or 14 of their last 17 have all seen Under 2.5 MGS getting a green light.

Just to strengthen the notion of ‘unders’, the last 2 H2Hs – both at Estadio Ramos – finished 2-0 and 1-0.

    Four selections to consider:

    UNDER 2.5 MGS…27/20

    M OF V = HOME/1…5/2

    CORRECT SCORE 1-0…7/1

    CLEAN SHEET…6/5

I’ll be watching this one from behind the sofa so good luck to all on a late one ?
