    My Saturday Outsider e/w

    5:05 Cheltenham Sky Khan @ 20/1 skybet 1/4 4 places EP

Sky Khan…from Lucinda Russell yard She’s sends the 6yo all the way down from Perth to Cheltenham probably the longest distance any horse is travelling today to a racetrack, Sky Khan has won three hurdle races from 2m to 2m 5f on good to firm and good ground and last race was 31 days ago at Perth 3m good to soft when finishing 2nd beaten 3.25 lengths where he was one pace after last hurdle , Lucinda sent him down this time last year for a Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle .and also sent it down to the festival last year but missed this year festival instead kept in running at home in Scotland only visiting Market Rasen this year to win over 2m 4.5 f before giving him a summer break to reappear for that Perth run last month , So horse will have came on for that run but stable head jockey Peter Buchanan is not in saddle as yard have got Graham Watters claiming 3lbs in saddle,

  7. Ricardo72 12 months ago

3 horses yesterday I put up.. Magic circle, penglai pavillion, old guard all won happy days

  8. Jimron12 12 months ago

Mengali Khan is in my tracker might have a little squeak against the big two!

  9. Jimron12 12 months ago

As put up last night nap/NB is hargam 2.45 and parlour games 4.30

As its Saturday I’m also going to put up a Yankee

    Mengali Khan 3.45 7/1
    Roalco de farges 3.20 7/1
    Mimicking 3.30 25/1
    Super bowl 4.05 11/2

Small stakes ew Yankee see what happens!

Think dettoris in the 2.00 is a good sort
And zannada in the listed over in Ireland should take all the beating

    Good luck all

    Timeform comments:

Zonderland (5 out of 5 stars): Well backed when impressively beating previous winners on debut at Kempton. Pitched in at the deep end when close fourth in Group 3 at Newmarket next time and looks a smart prospect.
    Form: 14
Race commentary: flat, 7f. ZONDERLAND wasn’t beaten far at this level at Newmarket on only his second outing and looks the one to beat with further improvement forthcoming. Crazy Horse is sure to progress into a very useful performer after his debut win in a 16-runner maiden at Newmarket and is feared most ahead of impressive nursery winner Start Time.

Hargam (5 out of 5 stars): Useful on Flat in France and quickly developed into a smart hurdler for current yard, best effort coming when third in Triumph Hurdle. Probably found run at Aintree coming too soon and leading player.
    Form: 21136-
Race commentary: hurdle, 2m 87y. A classy renewal. HARGAM’s third in the Triumph Hurdle here in March sets the standard and he’s taken to defy top weight. Devilment went close in a Grade 1 at Aintree in April and rates a massive danger, while Fou Et Sage showed plenty of ability in France and needs keeping an eye on.

Audacious Plan (5 out of 5 stars): Improved to win handicap chase at Ffos Las in April, and shaped very promisingly on Chepstow return earlier this month, looking in need of the run. Will strip fitter now and remains of interest.
    Form: 23312-6
Race commentary: chase, 3m 1f. AUDACIOUS PLAN shaped very promisingly until the lack of a recent run took its toll at Chepstow 2 weeks ago. He is entitled to strip fitter now and remains open to improvement in this sphere, so makes plenty of appeal from bottom weight in a competitive handicap. Last season’s winner Roalco de Farges reappears in this again and commands respect, along with Fox Appeal.

Problem I have is the forecast rain which will effect both foundation and deauville class may get them through it but at them prices I’ve gone for mengali Khan has won on testing and if the big two don’t go on the ground which is an unknown Khan will be there to push them all the way. Small stakes just enjoy the race with some high potential horses! Both won’t win the Derby though fact!

Morning all, tried posting from my phone which doesn’t seem to have worked so trying from the work computer:

My NAP for today is Grams and Ounces. He’s running in the last (5.20) at Newbury in the Women’s Amateur race on flat (Molly King as jockey). Grams and Ounces managed 2nd over hurdles last time out and is a favourite at 4/1

Good luck everybody with their bets today!

  14. Yovan 12 months ago

Just a little warning! Alex Hammond of Sky Sports News & At The Races presenter tipped Hargam as her NAP. Her last 20 Naps have all lost. Talking about kiss of death.

  71. NAGMAN 12 months ago

Busstop great stuff again mate. Big respect you stick to what you know and do it well!

I know its probably fairly intuitive but mind me asking what your basic handicapping process is?

Reason I ask is that I pick some good horses and decent prices too sometimes but just bet in too many races each day (7-8 on average) and I feel it hurts my bankroll in long run. Even harder when so much good racing about

Be interesting to know from you & the other guys (DC, Davyb who only pick 3-4 max each day consistently how you go about deciding which races to play & which your strongest picks are?

My shortlist before the racing starts is normally about 20 horses as go through all the cards so the 7-8 is a reduction! Its dumb eel like the one I don’t play will be the one that gets away.

  72. Ray 12 months ago

  73. NAGMAN 12 months ago

    7.10 Chel – Sir Robert Cheval 12/1 E/W

Not a huge bet but I don’t think this is M.Botti second string in this race and looks good value at 12/1

Good run last time out to win from off the pace at 1st try over 1m and think this is the horses ideal distance so think it may be able to win in this grade off this mark if taking to surface.

Trainer 20% SR for +24 to level stakes here and his horses running ok.

    Fancy a place at least

Tom I just think Hollywood Don prefers turf to dirt as seen last time out and couple of bookies having seen that, he travels so well but on turf he can use his kick that he has
He has such a high cruising speed which he also showed last time but the kick just want there on dirt and he is massively overpriced,
Next Saturday I would think he will be about a 6/1 shot

  76. Ray 12 months ago
