    Timeform comments:

Germany Calling (5 out of 5 stars): Followed successful chase debut at Uttoxeter (16f) with improved second of 7 in novice event at same venue in May (20f). Drop back in trip will suit and holds leading claims.
    Form: 1339-12
Race commentary: 1m 7f 207y. GERMANY CALLING has already bettered his hurdling form in 2 starts over the larger obstacles, and with his yard going well at present, is taken to make a successful handicap bow in this discipline. Vodka Wells is open to improvement over fences, and looks the biggest danger.

Force (5 out of 5 stars): Hooded for first time, career best when winning 10-runner maiden at Haydock (6f, good to soft, 11/4) 42 days ago, pushed out. Makes handicap debut. Has good chance on form.
    Form: 3561
Race commentary: 6f. FORCE has clearly been held in high regard for some time, and a hood curbed his keen-going tendencies to an extent when successful at Haydock last month. There’s still the potential for a fair bit more to come, so he is taken to supplement that success. Hope Cove and Valko are feared most.

Elltaaf (5 out of 5 stars): Foaled March 27. Invincible Spirit filly. Sister to useful winner up to 7f Tantshi and half-sister to several winners, including smart winner up to 1¼m Toolain and 1¾m-2m winner Harry Hunt.
    Form: no history.
Race commentary: 6f. ELLTAAF’s pedigree is a mix of speed and stamina, but she represents top connections who can boast a very good record in AW maidens, so it would come as no surprise were she up to the job on debut. Wimpole Hall and Little Swift have shown enough to think they can be very competitive.

    Morning all

Really finding it difficult to find anything strong today. Ive backed 2 horses and i will probably leave it at that.

    GUNNERY SERGENT 5.35 punch

I was told about this horse way back in feb from an old frield who i bumped into purely by chance. Hes a guy who travels the country to p2p meetings and really knows his stuff. He told me he reckons this horse could go to the very top he was that impressed with him.
Now i backed him last night as soon as i seen his name but i have to be honest im concerned to see the Liz Doyle runner shortening this morning given her record in bumpers so i would recommend its a race to watch rather than have a punt.

The other horse ive backed WAR DEPARTMENT EW 5.45 chelmsford
Yes i know its johns naps race but for value ive gone for the selection given that he absolutely bolted in fto over 6f. He then ran in the coventry with an sp of 7/1 so was clearly fancied but got badly hampered 3f out and was vertually pulled up before the line. His 3rd run was also at group 2 level in the Superlative stakes over 7f but ran poorly as he did for his last run over a mile. Today hes back over 6f with first time headgear and drops back down to class 4 company which is the class he was in on debut. Its a risky punt as he could run another shocker but at odds of 8/1 im hoping the headgear does the trick.

    Best of luck to all

    Chico

The Game Changer looks a good thing today. One that smells of plot job is HALLO ROSIE 2.45. Dont ask me why but i just get the feeling it could be so watch for any support. Trainer is 1-1 this season and boasts a 20% strike rate at the track and this horse makes hcap debut and is still only 4 so should be improving.

Only post once every blue moon on racing thread. Freddie caught my eye on debut and the 3-1 in a 4 runner race stood out as this horse stayed 2 miles on the flat well.

Another to watch next time is the grey Taylor, who ran yesterday.
Jumped well in the main, made the running, weakened after 3rd last, never tried trip before, not really bred for it, a drop back to 2m next tine with this run under his belt will see an improvement. A return to wetherby in just over 2 weeks must be on the cards. Bangor would suit too.

Looks like you guys here are having a good day.

And Clarky I don’t follow racing, never have, so rarely have a bet on any horse.
The money I have to bet on goes on football and a bit of golf – nothing else really.

Just the one winner and after the rule 4 it was a 1.98 point loss today
    October 31.91 points down
This month is looking the same as last October, as we get to end of flat & beginning of the jumps.
But at the start of November last year I said we would make a profit and it was my second best month with 70 points profit,
This November will be another profit but still time to turn October round

    Timeform comments:

Regulation (3 out of 5 stars): Useful Flat performer who added another hurdles success to the tally at Warwick (2m) last month. Creditable second at Huntingdon latest, and not discounted back in handicap-company.
    Form: 216312
Race commentary: 1m 7f 65y. HANDSOME DAN was value for more than the winning margin suggests at Market Rasen last month, and in an open-looking event could be worth chancing to follow up from a 6 lb higher mark. Mountain Fighter, Full Blast and Dry Ol’party are a trio of handicap debutantes from leading yards also worthy of consideration.

Also At The Races race commentary:
Full Blast failed to settle on his return to action at Newton Abbot last time, but it is hard to recommend him until he shows he can relax plus the handicapper hasn’t gone easy on him with his opening mark. REGULATION only found the potential high-class Maputo too good last time and he isn’t too badly handicapped judged by his win prior to that. King Muro and Dry Ol’party are others with strong chances in a very open race.
