YOU have to love a Champions League night that goes to form – unless you were on Valencia. I wasn't luckily and landed my Top Treble for the second day running as well as the Super Single which was Jason Cummings to score for Hibs.
All four of the recommended bets on my Champions League preview also won – Thomas Muller to score at 6-5, Chelsea to win at 3-4, Barcelona to win to nil at 4-5 and Zenit St Petersburg DNB at 6-5.
My 2pts treble of Chelsea, Olympiakos and both to score at Roma paid 3-1 and I deducted 1pt for a risky cover on the Greeks who claimed a last-minute winner. And Greg's nap on Chelsea came up too.
Thursday is all about the Europa League and I've posted a preview covering the British teams – Celtic, Spurs and Liverpool. Celtic will be at full strength at home to Molde and Jurgen Klopp has taken all of his stars to Russia to face Rubin Kazan who held his men to a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
Spurs also look set to name a strong side at home to Anderlecht despite facing Arsenal on Sunday. If in doubt don't bet on these games until line-ups are confirmed.
Having landed the Cummings' Super Single and won on Muller to score I'm starting with Leigh Griffiths to score for Celtic against the Norwegians. Griffiths is in great form and is 21-20 at bet365 to hit the target.
Recently my focus with the Europa League has been with goals and I'm not risking too much tonight. I've got two both to score trebles – an early one and a late one.
I'm also doing a 1pt handicaps treble. Finding WDW value isn't easy sides – teams who should win easily include Dortmund, Napoli, Sporting and Athletic Bilbao but all are short.
I can't see any decent market on Dortmund goals or handicaps but if he starts consider Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score first at 11-4 with 888sport. He has two hat-tricks in his last four outings.
Even Dortmund -1 and -2 AH is too short to I'm on Napoli -1 and Sporting -1 – both won the reverse ties easily. Napoli beat Midtjylland 4-1 away and Sporting thrashed Skenderbeu 5-1 at home. Add Norwegian champions Rosenborg +1 at home to Lazio.
They lost 3-1 in Italy but Lazio are resting many players ahead of Sunday's Rome derby. As you'll see I like both to score as Rosenborg in particular have been involved in goal-laden matches (4-3 and 3-3 intheir last two) and Lazio should net whoever they start up front.

Does anyone have any team info on Partizan Belgrade? 14/1 seems extraordinarily long at Athletic Bilbao. They were beaten at home by Bilbao last time out but in the other two games, they’ve scored 3 in each.
They’re 11/10 just to score and that seems a fantastic price to me.

Re: Forest/Derby tomorrow. This is the biggest game of their season and our 2nd biggest and I’ve spent a good hour looking at various head to head stats and past bits of info and looking for something that I can tip and I’ve found some peaches. My usual preview may be a bit longer than normal, I apologise in advance but i’ll be concentrating on 3 markets. Its highly likely you’ll need a bet365 acct because the markets exist on what I’m looking at.
Anyone who’s tipping/betting on their own team that’s playing their most hated rivals will understand that its sometimes difficult to put your heart to one side and engage your brain only. This is exactly the same dilemma that rangers/celtic have had but its twice per year we usually play them, rather than the potential for upto 6 times per year with the celtic/rangers ( cup games ), man u/Liverpool, there can’t be that many others in the country that seem as personal as this one especially given the Clough link and 11 miles between us. Although I hate doing it, I have been known to bet against my side when I need to.
Posting my preview isn’t done to gain brownie points, I actually feel like its my duty, my contribution to this site and I know I’m under no pressure to do it but sharing my knowledge on my own team and the match preview and the follow on post match is all geared towards one goal. To put cash in our pockets and take it back from the bookies.
Dougie Freedman is under so much pressure to deliver a result which if they win, he will keep his job and they’ll probably build a statue outside their ground. Lose the game and he’ll join QPR’s manager who felt the ” Derby County ” affect a few days ago.
My preview will appear at 7pm or just shortly after and I shall write the preview prior to the team news being announced and then cut n paste to save time.
Aside from the 5 nil we gave them, this game is usually a hard fought all out battle, usually a draw or a win by a single goal and always delivers cards if you ignore 1 of the last 6 matches ( at our ground that had one card ), theres been 28 cards in 5 matches !! this includes 2x double yellows ( both derby players ) and a straight red for a forest player. I count a yellow and a red as 2 yellows or 2 cards, a red, I count as 2. ALL 3 sending off’s have ALL occurred at their ground and the average cards in this Forest/Derby fixture ( at their ground ) is 6-7-7 or 6.66 cards per match. I’ll recap on this tomorrow but I have work to do looking into corners and goals so IF you can wait for my preview before betting, then please do. I’ll try to guide you with some gold.

Pedro I was at the game tonight and was truly awful. But remember lennons first two seasons. Out of Europe twice and only back in because sion cheated. Then out group also. Need time to build a team but all these small teams with 8/9 homegrown players seem to be providing shocks all over Europe at the moment. Need to start fielding more homegrown talent – but are fans patient enough at old firm clubs? Anyhow onwards we go
From a neutrals point of view, it stands to reason that Celtic have not improved their squad because theres been no Rangers to compete with in the league, its been a 1 horse race. Who in their right mind would spend big money on players and big wages when you can do the league and probably both domestic cups with a cheaper side. Celtic for me are in no state to compete in the Europa cup, its a bonus if they do but with no Rangers in the league, their side will be below par for what they need. Maybe if/when rangers are back and firing on all cylinders, they will have to up their game and add to their squad. Until then, I’d give them a wide berth.
