IT'S semi-final day at the ATP World Tour Finals and Andy Murray isn't still around after defeat to Stan Wawrinka sealed the Scot's group-stage exit.

Murray can now concentrate on the looming Davis Cup Final while Wawrinka goes into battle against Swiss compatriot Roger Federer.

Wawrinka trails 17-3 in the head-to-head – his most recent victory coming at this year's French Open – and is a 5-2 underdog (bet365) to win and 4-5 at Paddy Power to take a set.

Fed is 4-9 at Stan James to reach the final and 20-19 at Unibet to progress in straight sets.

In the other semi-final reigning champ Novak Djokovic goes for an eighth win in the last nine meetings with Rafa Nadal.

The world No.1 is just 2-9 (Paddy Power) for victory and Nadal is 19-4 at Sportingbet while BetVictor make the Spaniard a 13-8 chance to win a set.

Other highlights on a packed Saturday of sport include rugby, boxing and basketball so let's hear all your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Ill be having a bet on Anthony Crolla at 8/11 after he should of won the first fight I think he will be even more fired up and ready to get the job done!

Also I know you should bet with your head and not your heart but after what he’s been through I really hope he gets the win, he certainly deserves it!!

    German Bundesliga Basketball Single

Wurzburg have been a revelation so far this season winning 6 out of their first 7 games. Tuebingen on the other hand have been mediocre, winning 3 and losing 5. Wurzburg were promoted this season and I dont expect their impressive start to continue in this fashion and expect the Tigers to bring them back down to reality with a home win here. It has to be noted that the Tigers have never defeated Wuzburg at home but I’m expecting them to put that right with a home win.

    Wurzburg @ Tigers Tuebingen (tomorrow)

    Spread: Tigers -1.5 @ 7/4 William Hill – 2pts staked

    Good luck!

Gaziantep BB are hosting Besiktas. Gaziantep have opened their season with 2 wins and 4 losses while Besiktas season has begun with 4 wins and 2 losses. Both teams have looked good recently and although Besiktas are clear favourites here, I think Gaziantep is a difficult place to get a result, especially after some grueling European games.

Just as I’m about to place the damn bet the price has shortened from 23/20 to 17/20, hate that!

Gonna hope for a better price in-play.

    Besiktas @ Gaziantep

    Money Line: Gaziantep

Cheers Hunter. Gaziantep is $1.90 with my Bookie so I’m gonna take it now.

    • hunter 8 years ago

Missed some good earlier prices. Quite annoyed as there’s no way they should be as short as that!

    • attiladathrilla 8 years ago

Yeah they were $2.40 earlier… Would have preferred taking the +3.5 or thereabouts but anything above $1.80 (4/5) is good enough for a single for me.

    Food for thought

    $2.20 Stan Most Aces

I expect Federer will probably win this one, but it’s hardly a tempting proposition at 1.36, given the game that Wawrinka possesses – as ever with him it’s a case of what he’ll produce on the day.
I suspect it’ll either be a routine win for Federer, which makes the 2-0 at 2.00 or the -3.5 games at around the same price the wagers of interest, or a really tight one, as it was a year ago here.
But I like the odds-against about Wawrinka serving more aces than Federer, which is a distinct possibility, and especially given that he out-aced Federer 10-4 here last year, despite serving at a dismal 38 percent of first serves in play.
Even in that heavy defeat in New York, Wawrinka was only out-aced 10-6 and that was again with a poor first serve mark of under 50 percent.
Wawrinka won again 6-5 in their previous hard court meeting at Indian Wells and prior to that in Shanghai in 2012 (and that match included a 6-0 set to Federer) and also in Cincy the same year.

So, in their last six meetings on hard courts Wawrinka has hit more aces than Federer four times (and one was a tie), DESPITE LOOSING EVERY MATCH.

    Euro Basketball Double

In the Lithuanian top league we have Vytautas entertaining Juventus. On paper this would seem that Vytautas will have an easy win. I’m not so sure they will have it all their own way. Their last two games have seen them lose, with one of these being at home to a poor Nevezis side.

Juventus on the other hand go into this game winning 4 from their last 5. The loss was against today’s opponents and they’ll be eager for revenge. Game should be close.

In the German Bundesliga we have Oldenburg entertaining the supposed best team in Germany, Alba Berlin.

I was looking back at my notes from last week where I had written, ‘Alba Berlin = TERRIBLE’. I was referring to their last game against Ludwigsburg in Eurocup. While Alba look in great shape this game stood out enough for me to note!

In addition, last season from 5 head to head games, Alba twice won by 10 points, other games won by less.

    Juventus @ BC Vytautas (14:00)

    Spread: Juventus +8.5

Alba Berlin @ Baskets Oldenburg (19:30GMT)

    Spread: Oldenburg +11.5

Double @ Evens Stan James – 2pts staked

    3rd qtr collapse from Gaziantep!

    • attiladathrilla 8 years ago

Leading by 7 at HT, then out scored 4 pts to 21 Pt’s in 3rd. I thought the bet was home, argh!

    • attiladathrilla 8 years ago

How can a team score only 4 points (2 baskets) in 10mins… I just don’t get it, lol

  12. hunter 8 years ago

    4pts in the 3rd, that’s not a collapse, that’s a train-wreck!

    • attiladathrilla 8 years ago

Then they come out in 4th and hit like 5 straight 3’s! I wonder if the team put bets on lowest scoring quarter ‘3rd qtr’ haha

Besiktas looking tired now! Gonna be close here.

Jeez that was a sweat. Cheers for the winner Hunter :-)

Nps bud, Never in doubt lol. What a roller-coaster! Knew they’d tire in the 4th but thought it was too late for Gaziantep after that 3rd Q.

    FRANCE LNB:

    – Nancy vs Monaco UNDER 153.5 @ $1.88

Think this has a good chance to go under. Nancy are struggling this season and are averaging below 75 points in their home games. Monaco are doing OK for a promoted team, but can only score points at home…on the road their points totals are low. All signs point to the UNDERS :-).

    hey guys
    boxing tonight:

    Saul Alvarez KO 5/2

cotto is not a middleweight, he fights middleweights at catchweights, i cant see anything other than a canelo win here, i also think cotto will either quit on his stool or be counted out after he takes a knee, he’s at the end of his career, Canelo is the bigger younger and harder hitting man, crazy odds IMO.

    less confident picks are:

    Murray Points 13/8

The likely outcome is murray winning and being robbed by the judges, hopefully im wrong, murray is moving up in weight but was always a big middleweight, abraham is at the end of his career and is the lesser skilled man, he has more power than murray, but murray is very durable he took GGG 11 rounds and i fancy murray to completely out skill abraham here.

also fancy crolla on points @11/10 but not confident at all…

Thank God for that, was starting to think I was incapable of winning a bet.

Good luck with Pacers guys, I was personally leaning more towards the Bucks point spread.

Too late for me to place a bet now.
