IT wasn't a great day for goals on Saturday and both of Greg's trebles fell short – although his series bet for members only was a winner.
Greg says: “Not much to go on today – Verona seem a popular pick and you can see why. Only worry is the bookies have them priced at an overly-generous 4-6 when they should be no bigger than 1-2. Why? Only one bet from me today.
“It’s really a case of how many goals will Holland and Belgium score, I reckon both will net at least three. Could have gone with team goals but sticking with match goals in case they give one away.”
Luxembourg v Holland (5pm)
Belgium v Estonia (7.45pm)
Back over 2.5 match goals double (1-1, Bet365) (NAP)
Verona 0-4
Bookies right again lord Greg ?
Now logically this result shouldn’t have occurred, so why were bookies pricing up at 4-6 when a team losing 4-0 at home in hindsight should be priced up like 6-1 or higher.
Point I’m making is what information do the bookies get to price up against the grain like this game.
And if they are party to inside Information, surely someone has questions to answer.
It happened in our league last year when Rhyl beat port Talbot 5-0 when logic said it should have been 0-5,
Turned out port Talbot players bet on themselves to lose and have now been kicked out of the league.
Shifty t##ts.
Maybe they just saw money. If there’s money against Verona they’ll push them out.
If they suspected foul play they should have suspended betting.
I don’t follow Serie B so can’t say if there was something in the team news that may have caused it.
Elvis – it’s a strange one mate
That’s partly why I decided to highlight before the game as logically Verona should have been 1/2 best price today not 4/6
As Mr F said, team news could have been a factor
Verona had their strongest side out.
Italians teams seem to be involved in a lot of strange results, and have been for many years.
They sure are cocker spaniel.
Watching the shocker and blatant nonsense of Scotland v Italy at Hampden still grinds my gears to this day.
