IT was a great Bank Holiday Monday for myself and many of the site regulars.
My confident 6pt Super Single on Dundalk -2 came in spectacularly as the League of Ireland champions beat Bray 8-2.
And my 7-1 Top Treble also landed thanks to over 2.5 goals at Hull v Arsenal and Kayseri v Sivasspor and both to score at Gothenburg v Falkenberg.
My wins were of course overshadowed by Harpreet's 16-1 success on a free-kick to be scored at Hull and let's hope we can see a bit more goodwill to a guy whose recent record can't be questioned.
The site's not all about me because there's only so much one person can do and there were a lot of comments on Monday that proved what a team effort this is, especially from those watching the Bray game and suggesting there was no need to cover when Dundalk led 4-1 at the break.
I sacrificed 0.25pts on Bray to win the second half at 16-1 and later did the same with 0.5pt on under 2.5 goals at Hull when Arsenal led 2-0. These covers have been deducted off my winnings.
Tuesday's much quieter and I've posted a preview on the Champions League semi-final between Juventus and Real Madrid. I don't see Real losing and draw is the most likely result – they're the better team but Juve's incredible home record has to be respected.
Under 2.5 goals in the game looks on but Cristiano Ronaldo to score at 17-10 with 888sport at any time is my best bet on the game.
There aren't enough matches for me to post a Top Treble but I've decided to go with both to score at Inverness v Dundee Utd as the Super Single. It's another game that's tough to call and again a draw is possible.
Neither side is in good form with Scottish Cup finalists ICT having won just once in 90 minutes in 11 matches. United did well to beat Aberdeen at the weekend but before that they'd lost four in five.
The Tangerines though have conceded in their last 13 away games so a clean sheet is unlikely. ICT are without their best defender this season with David Raven banned. Both have netted in this fixture in four out of six so 10-11 at BetVictor and William Hill is a fair price.

Rarely you will see a price on Ronaldo Anytime at odds against for tomorrow. He’s accounted for half of Madrids away goals in the competition too with 4, only failing to score in the Madrid derby with a masterclass from Jan Oblak in goal. Scored in his last two appearances against Juventus (3 altogether). Coming off a hat-trick at the weekend. Juventus don’t concede too often at home, but that’s in Serie A. Dortmund and Olympiakos have scored in Turin this season, and Fiorentina were unlucky not to get three last week with a missed penalty. Juventus have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6, with Madrid keeping the opposition at bay in 7 of their last 8, but the last 3 h2h’s have seen over 2.5 goals.

Basically suwon and Beijing are top of the group with 13 points each and roar are third with 10. Urawa Reds only have 1 point.
Suwon could just play out a draw to ensure roars result has no impact on either of them.
Slight mistake – both are top with 10 points and roar have 7. So no change in what they have to do. Roar have to win well as goal difference needs to be over turned by 4, so they’re likely to go for it. Over 1.5 roar goals seems a good bet.

I remember a while ago during discussions about PRO Gamblers, and how they work their stretegies You Mentioned you know one guy who you refered to as a PRO Gambler, and that he never bets on above 1-10 prices.
Do you have any reasoning for this?
I suppose he feels that his strikerate compared to price is better for 1-10 bets than he would achive going by 8-10 to 15-10 prices. But still I was quite surprised, since a lot of gamblers doing their betting in a serious way are very clear about the fact that they Think finding bets around evens and achive a good enough strike-rate there around is the best way to go.
What are your thoughts on best possible strategy? Finding a very high strike-rate on 1-10 prices or to try to maintain a strikerate let’s say above 60% on bets around evens?
Do not take stakingpower/Size of bank into consideration -only share what you Think is the most profitable way to bet over time if one would start with let’s say £10000.
Daniel, the pro gambler who bets on 1-10 shots or shorter does so because the odds reflect the chances of his bet winning. As I said his aim is to win £20 an hour so one 1-10 shot at £200 is what he’s looking for – maybe seven or eight times a day. And remember most of those 1-10s are in play. This is his job so he’s spending 8-10 hours a day researching and watching for chances to jump on.

I think big stakes very low odds are the best strategy…..low odds have the least vigorish.I used this strategy for a brief period of time in which i used my whole balance and rolled it with each win to reach eventually extremely high figures…..but it wore on me because i was worried i would lose it all at some point…and stopped it because it was the opposite of fun…..

The Real Madris game is tough to call and remember you don’t need to bet on it if you don’t fancy anything! Get the feeling sometimes people are putting bets on such matches for the sake of having a bet! Only bet on this game if you have confidence in a market!
Agreed Greg. Personally I don’t think it’ll be tight at all. No Benzema for Madrid but Bale is back which will probably see Ronaldo in the strikers role with Rodriguez and Bale either side which is why I’ve taken him anytime. People are taking Juventus’ home record too much into account. Olympiakos scored twice there, and so did Dortmund when they were losing to poor teams in the Bundesliga. Fiorentina scored twice (missed a penalty) after losing three on the bounce. They are by no means unbreakable, especially against a team like Madrid.
My way of thinking is by no means a tip.Just my thoughts,so please do not follow me.Its my money to lose on a guess,would hate for anyone to lose due to my thoughts.

It’s a pretty tough looking fixture to call tonight with the holders Real visiting a strong Juventus who do their best work at home in their intimidating arena in Turin.
My first instinct for this match is that Juventus won’t lose and I see a similar kind of pattern to the quarter final first leg where Real played out a 0.0 draw away to Atletico and something similar cannot be ruled out here.
The bookies can’t split them either with Real as big as 2/1 to claim a first leg advantage while Juventus are narrow favourites at 17/10. The draw is priced at 9/4
Real won 3.2 at Sevilla in the weekend, with Ronaldo scoring yet another hat-trick and he is odds AGAINST to score tonight which in itself is quite a rarity. Ronnie is 8/5 to score at anytime and is a potential candidate for many and their free £50 bet tonight.
Juventus were crowned champions again in Serie A this past weekend and while they are underdogs going into this tie, they should be in an extremely positive frame of mind following their title success and should play their best football with the domestic pressure no longer an issue.
Given that Real are still chasing the title in Spain and face the demand of trying to be the first team to retain the Champions League, I expect the tranquility to come from the Old Lady Juventus who should be able to play with a level of freedom that they will embrace and if I had to pick someone to win tonight, it would be the hosts.
I expect a tight opening period with the atmosphere of the home support driving Juventus forward and they could get the first goal here. Carlos Tevez is in form and could be the man to break the deadlock. Carlitos is 9/2 to score first. The same price as Ronaldo.
This tie could be won in midfield with Real still missing Modric and if the old beardy Pirlo and his dance partner Vidal can get a hold of the middle of the park, it could be tough night for Real who are also without Benzema in attack, although Gareth Bale is expected to return to the starting 11 with Hernandez returning to bench warming duties.
Juve are not without their own injury problems with the supremely talented Paul Pogba missing as well as Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres although I don’t expect this to be an issue for Juventus who welcome back the beast that is Giorgio Chiellini.
The optimist inside me (what optimisit?) is expecting at least a goal for both sides and while It should be a cagey affair, Juventus will look to get forward more than Atletico did in their home leg against Real and I believe they can breach a defence that has not always been secure this season which should then, hopefully, allow for a slightly more attacking game than we saw in Madrid.
I like to rely on my instincts for big ties such as these with the statistics feeling a little less relevant in big ties involving teams from different leagues although the head to head record historically favours Juventus who have won 4 of the last 5 meetings in Turin over the past 15 years and they will likely believe that run can be extended tonight.
In the end thought this is an extremely tough looking fixture to predict and while this looks like a fence sit, I do fancy the draw to be the most realistic outcome tonight. Juve could snatch an advantage but I prefer the 9/4 on the draw.

10Duff10 – for what its worth, my advice would be to not commit now…sit in-play if you are able to and gauge the first 10 minutes or so – then you can go from there with potentially much less loss and a decent bearing on what to do.

The way I see it is, users of the site who don’t follow Harpreet or don’t appreciate his undermining posts, self praising and down right rudeness would not have a problem with him having his own thread. The other percentage who do follow shouldn’t have any qualms either as they’d still be able to follow him, which I’m sure he’d love on his own thread. Best of both worlds.
