Charles mac,i agree with ALANM i think a lucky 15 is the best bet you can do,even if you only get one winner you get treble the odds in wich you can do another bet,i do a euro lucky a few days a week

  18. Yovan 2 years ago

I wish some people will stop patronizing. Let people do whatever they want with their money. You don’t like L15, don’t play. Singles are good, but boring and some people like possibility of a big win, which you can get with L15. For me betting is fun, not a business venture, so couple of singles a day is not an option. I’ll have JB’s singles, but sure as hell I’ll have some doubles/trebles, or L15, as well. Only then the fun begins! It’s the same if you tell people not to play lottery. We all know we’ll never win it, but…

  19. boz 2 years ago

bookies create these fancy bets for themselves not the punter if you want fun bets L15 round robins etc are the way to go

but a serious punter will stick to singles
no harm either way depends on the punter

    happy days

  20. jim burnside 2 years ago

Yovan I agree to an xtent but ur totally wrong about we all know we wont win the lottery. Ha so who dus win it then ad love to know?

  30. Yovan 2 years ago

Haha Jim, you do get that “we will never win” was figure of speech? Of course someone will win, but the odds are 14 mil/1, or something, so it is safe to say that is very unlikely that we will win it in our lifetime. Having said that I have friend who won 1mil on that code you get when you buy Euro Million ticket. So we will keep sticking £2 on sixfold accumulator called Lottery, hoping to beat the odds of 14 Million/1.
Today my single bet is No Delusion NM 8:00, BV 4/1

Hi guys, I am a big fan of JohnB and will follow come rain or shine but surely it’s a bit unfair to put his quoted price at 2/1 since he himself says it was in moderation and the best price when his post finally appeared was 13/8, the post going into moderation obviously wasn’t Johns fault so not criticising him!

  41. De Niro 2 years ago

Andrew, the quoted price is what JB has bagged the horse at. In order to keep accurate stats this has to be what he goes with and not what is readily available to us pal.

  43. double carpet 2 years ago

    Morning all

Not going near the Dante as there are too many questions to be answered but i do expect huge improvement from JFK but not sure if hes quite good enough to win as its only 10f but ive had a small wager on him for the DERBY as im taking the chance that he will have impressed enough for his odds to shorten.
Anyway onto today and 3 from me

NAP ANCIENT SANDS 4/1 6.35 tipp
NB STREET ENTERTAINER 9/2 3.35 perth
EW MONSIEUR JOE 12/1 2.10 york

    Best of luck to all

  44. Alanm 2 years ago

Nap Golden Horn 9/2 3.15 York
NB Desert Law 15/2 2.10 york
    Double pays 48/1

CharlesMac of course singles is the best to back horses but like most guys on here its nice to have a yankee or lucky whatever on a Saturday or any big meetings to have a bit of interest in all the races and also dream of the big one of which some day soon 4 or 5 BIG naps are going to come together on this site and make a lot of people a lot of money D/C and Boz have already done the Quad.

Pick your favourite 4 tipsters and take their Naps and most days you will get a return.

    Good luck all

  46. AndrewC 2 years ago

ADC I fully agree with you, but if you read the comments above you will see that JohnB said he tried to post earlier with the price at 2/1 but it was in moderation and it has now appeared, giving the impression that the post was visible from about 4 hours ago but it wasn’t, as I was following this thread from about 6am this morning. At the time when we were first told/knew what the tip was, the best price was 13/8

I did say the horse was 2/1 when i was trying to post
i wont be using 2/1 for my stats
if the horse wins i will be using 13/8 because that was the best odds that people on here could get

  52. AndrewC 2 years ago

Hi John, not a problem at all, as I said in my initial post I wasn’t criticising you at all, it wasn’t your fault it went into moderation, just was doing it for track of points etc, please keep the great tips coming, we all appreciate it and make sure you are having a great time in Magaluf, as a married man I can only look on enviously at the things you “could” get up to :-)

A very profitible horse, has a lot to offer and is unpenislised from last win.

Prescott has had 3 winners and 5 seconds from his last 12 runners – yard in good form and looking forward to seeing this again tomorrow before the handicapper gets hold of him.

Luke Morris takes over again tomorrow – obvious bonus.

The last Dante winner to follow up in the Derby was Authorized back in 2007 although Workforce finished runner up in this afternoon’s fascinating Group 2 York feature before landing the premier colts’ classic back in 2010.

If there has been a better renewal of the Dante I certainly can’t remember it and make no mistake this is a race to savour. Elm Park was unbeaten in his last four starts as a juvenile culminating with an impressive win in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy and he has been well supported for the Derby in recent days (10/1 at BetVictor), but there are mixed messages about his recent homework and he is overlooked on his seasonal return.

John Gosden saddles two the unbeaten pair Golden Horn and JACK HOBBS (3.15) and, despite a modest draw in stall eight the latter gets the vote. Yes it was only a handicap he won at Sandown last time but he could not have been more impressive and his winning time compared favourably with the older Western Hymn who scored over the same C&D earlier in the day. He is currently 9/2 favourite for the Derby at BetVictor and those odds will obviously contract if he comes through this stern test with his unbeaten record intact.

Ol’ Man River never got competitive in the Guineas on his seasonal debut and it is hard to recommend a horse who finished tailed off on his previous start. He can only improve but John F Kennedy looks the stable first string for Aidan O’Brien and he looks sure to come on a bundle for his defeat in the Ballysax Stakes on ground softer than ideal last month.

    Dante stakes: prices from BetVictor
    Jack Hobbs 5/2
    Elm Park 3/1
    JFK 3/1
    Golden Horn 11/2
    8s Bar

The Middleton Stakes is the other Group race on the card and SECRET GESTURE (2.40) finished runner up in the corresponding race last year and can go one better for Ralph Beckett who has his string in such good form. The fact that connections have kept the 5-year-old in training suggests they feel there is more to come from the mare and any significant rain would be a plus.

At Salisbury SHE IS NO LADY (3.25) can shed her maiden tag at the third attempt having finished runner up on debut to a subsequent listed winner at Nottingham. She was highly tried on her only subsequent start in listed company and will be tough to beat although there are a couple of well-bred newcomers in the field including Stoute’s Cryptonym.

At Fontwell this evening DESERTMORE VIEW (7.15) looked a Hunter to follow when scoring at Chepstow last time over 3m and connections must feel he can take the drop in trip in his stride. The ground is currently good at the Sussex track but he wouldn’t want the ground to deteriorate too much.

At Perth the likelihood is that Russian Regent, in action last night, will not make the line up in the 2m4f chase and ROYAL MACBAB (5.10) is taken to follow up his recent C&D success from a 6lbs higher mark. The selection didn’t jump as well as he can on that occasion but is a progressive, consistent sort and is taken to make all.

    Be Lucky

  67. Alanm 2 years ago

The Epsom Derby picture is as clear as mud after several inconclusive trials and it could look even murkier after the running of this established trial as the selection is not even entered for the Classic. The current Derby favourite Jack Hobbs heads a field of eight and he’s been put in as 11/4 favourite, which is probably more based on his potential than what he’s shown on the racecourse. Granted, he absolutely hosed up at Sandown last time, but he was entitled to win that handicap off what looked a generous mark of 85 beforehand and far more is needed now he’s stepping up into Group 2 company.

He may well turn out to be the real deal and in a way I hope he turns it on here as the Derby is in desperate need of a top class horse or two to come to the fore. However, I’m not convinced he’s even the best John Gosden-trained runner in the race, with stablemate GOLDEN HORN preferred over what is likely his optimum trip. He too is unbeaten after two starts and impressed massively when winning the second of those at Newmarket on his reappearance, despite running green and finding the ground faster than ideal. His work on the home gallops since has been exceptional by all accounts and this French Derby entry is attractively priced at 4/1 to upset not only his stablemate but two other Derby entrants in Ballydoyle’s John F Kennedy (well beaten on his reappearance) and Racing Post Trophy winner Elm Park (will surely need his first run back).

golden horn does not have an entry for the derby

it can still be supplemented at this late stage if the owner pays 75k

going by the performance and most online chatter it is felt he will take the chance

hope you have some luck with your antepost bet
