IT was welcome full house on the top tips with two Super Singles, the goals single and the Top Treble all winning on Friday night.
On Thursday my only bet was a maximum 10pts on England to win to nil against Lithuania and it was that easy I should have doubled it with Joe Hart not to dirty his gloves. Friday's Super Single was 6pts on England -2 at 5-4 and those wins move me to within touching distance of a return to profit.
The Top Treble came in at 5-2 thanks to Switzerland -1, Sweden and England to win to nil and Dundalk v Sligo over 2.5 was the goals single at 21-20.
On a good night overall I also advised Alvaro Morata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney (if Harry Kane) to score first for Spain, Sweden and England respectively.
Going by the thread everyone seemed to do well with none of the favourites slipping up and it's a good start to the weekend.
It's another tricky day with no top-flight games and most of the Euro ties featuring short-priced favourites offering little value. However, there’s enough on the go for me to hopefully land some more winners.
For the Super Single I've decided to go with East Stirling as I hinted at on Thursday. I could go for them to score two plus at 8-5 with betfair but I'm risking 2pts on the straight win at 23-10 with McBookie and BetVictor.
Arbroath’s fall from grace in League Two has been spectacular with seven defeats in nine – in total contrast to East Stirling’s rise to the brink of the play-offs.
Shire, with on-loan Kevin Nesbit starring, won at Gayfield last month and have been under- estimated for today’s meeting at Ochilview. They are too big at 23-10 and less risky bet plus one at 4-6 with Ladbrokes.
League One leaders Bristol City at home to Barnsley and promotion-chasing Sheffield Utd feature on the Top Treble with East Stirling +1. I've taken the Blades -1 on the Asian Handicap which means that part of the bet is voided if they bet Crewe by one.

Melbourne City V Brisbane Roar – A League – 08:30
Melbourne City are a bit up and down this season, they get beat 1-0 and 3-2 by 2 of the worse teams this year in Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers respectively, but then they go and smash struggling Newcaste Jets 4-0 and pull of a shock 1-0 victory away at the in form Sydney FC. I watched the Sydney game last week and to be honest how city took the points i couldn’t tell you, but they did thanks to James Browns 85th minute winner, he was played in by a sublime pass from main man Aaron Mooy, who is ironically unavailable for the upcoming game due to international commitments. Hitting the stats and looking at past results show that their is clear contrast from City’s home form and away form. They have lost 3 of their last 5 away and only won 1, the mentioned Sydney result… but at home they have won 3 of their last 4 and drew 0-0 with high flying Perth Glory in the other one. They’ve won 4-0, 3-1 and 2-1 in this period against the Jets, Adelaide and West Sydney. City have hit the net in 10 of their 11 home games, only failing against Perth Glory who are one of the best defensive sides in the league. City are unbeaten in their last 7 at home winning 5 and drawing 2, this run began when they beat todays opponents 1-0 a few months back. City welcome back attacking talents tomorrow in David Williams and Josh Kennedy, They will definitely add an edge to the attack despite Mooy being out.
Brisbane Roar are having a tough season after winning the A league last year. They’ve been patchy, its hard to work out the issue, perhaps the sale of top scorer Besart Berisha to title rivals Melbourne Victory could be a factor. However in terms of the present day they have so real problems defensively. They’re missing key players at the back in Michael Theo who is the first choice goalkeeper and Jade North their starting Centre back. Last week they deployed Luke Brattan at centre half and despite his playmaking talents, he isn’t the tallest or the most tuned in defensively, they got smashed 4-1 in their own ground to the lowly Western Sydney Wanderers, who hadn’t won away all season. Infact the Roar have lost their last 3 games 4-1 as mentioned to WSW, a 2-1home defeat by league leaders Wellington and they lost a 5-4 thriller away at Sydney FC. Despite this, away from home they are a different kettle of fish, they have actually took 68% of their points on their travels and netted 70% of their goals… 21/30. Today they will be missing their Brazilian forward and top scorer Henrique aswell as key man Thomas Broich and midfielder McKay who really is the engine of the team.
In terms of head to head city have won the last 4 in a row at the AMII and won their last 2 against Roar, 1-0 at home and 3-1 away. Interestingly, in the 6 times Brisbane have travelled down to Melbourne they have never kept a clean sheet.
I have to side with Melbourne on this one, the missing players roar have at the minute makes them nothing compared to last season. With city welcoming back attacking talent i think they can put a 2 or 3 past a shaky makeshift Brisbane backline. The only question i am struggling with is will Brisbane get on the scoresheet? As mentioned they have hit 21 goals in 12 away games.

Jordan- back to the football and I’ve took Montreal to score as I’ve been reading up & Orlando have only have 14 senior squad members left due to internationals, injuries & suspensions. This and the fact Montreal have yet to score so far it just seemed to sit right.
I’m giving Nyugen one more chance due to the near misses in the last game v Montreal & feel he’s still the most likely scorer at the moment for NE. They do miss Jermaine Jones a lot but i will be happy if they just break their scoring duck in this one.

Did anyone else have Harry Kane to score anytime. Huge let off for the bookies as most of them voided the bets due to player not starting. I had £50 on Kane to score a header anytime @ 6/1 and 888Sport voided my bet. I knew there was a possibility he wouldn’t start but was confidence he would have made an appearance and scored at some point. Was happy enough to risk the £50. Fuming.

Perth Glory V Western Sydney Wanderers – A League – 10:30
Title chasing Glory face up against struggling Wanderers today, The glory started the season amazingly but haven’t won in 9 games now. They managed to keep scoring though, especially at home, they’ve scored in all 11 home games this season, 23 goals over those games averaging 2 or more. Their problem has been perhaps defensively and despite having one of the better defences in the league, they have conceded in 10 of the 11 home games. Overall they have conceded only 28, but a massive 18 at home. They have conceded in the last 6 home games in a row, and the clean sheet they kept was against bottom of the league Newcastle Jets who have the worst attack in the league, they’ve only scored 18 in 22, that clean sheet no longer sounds impressive. In terms of key players missing, Duncan the goalkeeper is away on national duty as is goal threat Jamie MacLaren.
WSW are not the team they were, its hard to believe this side won the ACL last term, They sit in 9th, no chance of the playoffs but won’t want to finish bottom of the pile. They the worst away record in league having lost 9 of their 11 on the road, they finally got their first away win of the season in the last match against Brisbane Roar where they smashed their opponents 4-1. The wanderers problem is how many they concede, they have conceded 36 in 22 and 20 of those have come on the road. They have conceded in their last 8 games and in every one of their away games this season (11) However, they are capable of getting a goal and have done 7 times on the road this season. Interestingly, WSW have scored in all 7 H2H against the Glory and have won 5 of the 7 losing the other 2.They will be without numerous players today namely the likes of striker Tommy Juric, defender Matthew Spiranovic, Mark Bridge and Mauro Polak.
Perth are going to score today and despite their winless run i think today is the day. However they concede so many and considering their current record not to mention the H2H i won’t be touching the WDW market. I fancy WSW to get a goal having scored in 7 of their 11 away, combined with Perths sole home clean sheet against goal shy jets and the H2H record. I like Andy Keogh and have seen him tipped by many as an anytime goalscorer, however I’m swayed away from this one as he has only managed to score in 1 of the last 5 home games and that was a penalty. Although, with MacLaren missing I’m sure he will get the line share of chances today.

Early picks for next Fridays Championship games for those who want to make use of early prices.
DERBY VS WATFORD
First game I like the look of is Derby vs Watford…..this one screams goals.
H2H reads as: 1-2, 4-2,2-3,2-1,5-1,1-2.
Derby sit 6th in the championship after a run of games which have not seen them win since February, losing 3 and drawing 2 of their last 5 games.
Watford on the other hand have been in fine form bar a some what surprising loss at home to Ipswich and sit 2nd hot on the heels of Bournemouth for top spot.
Key stats here are the H2H’s which point to goals in this fixture. Derby have won the last 3 h2hs 1-2,4-2,2-3 and are bookies favourites to nick a win at home. I don’t think they should be favourites here despite a good h2h record, yes they will want to win at home and to try and gain some ground for playoffs and will need to pick up max points. However I would be more inclined on a Watford win based on the momentum they have and the added boost that they have firepower and motivation to go for top spot of the championship. Add the fact that Watford have scored in all of their last 5 away games and have scored at least 2 goals in each.
If Derby play how they did against Wolves last Friday they will not stand a chance. I can’t remember the name of the Derby fan on here who is usually quite good at providing a prospective but it would be good to hear his views on this one.
My main bets are:
BTTS and over 2.5 match goals @ 11/10 B365 – this bet would have landed in the last 6 H2Hs
Watford over 1.5 team goals 13/8 B365 – excellent price in my opinion, as stated Watford have scored at least 2 goals in their last 5 away games so this stands a chance and at this price I’m happy to take a chance given that this fixture has a tendency for goals.
Those who want to play safe over 2.5 match goals is 17/20
IPSWICH VS BOURNEMOUTH
Ipswich have been strong at home this season with 63% of their wins coming on home turf.Now they have to contend with Bournemouth who sit top of the championship.
I like Ipswich to score against Bournemouth, we all know Bournemouth can score goals but they also lack the ability to defend and therefore concede quite regularly – proven by Bournemouths last 6 away games which have seen btts come in.
Also looking at the H2Hs the last 3 H2Hs read as follows (2-2, 2-2, 1-1) the reverse fixture finishing this season finishing 2-2. Ipswich are a tough team to beat at home any day, and I actually fancy them to get at least another point or even the win at home buoyed by their away win against Watford the previous week.

A small bet on the above is worth a go simply because I see Hearts going all out for goals as the league is won and we are left with the 100 goal landmark to reach. I posted a while ago that Hearts would destroy someone at Tynecastle as we were making so many goalscoring chances that it would all fall into place at sometime and Cowdenbeath were the unfortunate victims when it did. A prediction like that has to be priced in a way it can be followed for several games and still show profit when it lands. I have had 1 other potential big priced bet in mind for a while and now the league is won it may well be worth trying a small stake on and you will have to request odds on this. This season every single Hearts player in the first team squad has scored at least one goal except for this guy and I do not think it impossible that he will be given the chance should we get a penalty in one of our remaining 7 games. He is our goalkeeper and if you can get around 50/1 each game then £2 will show a £14 loss if it fails but a very big return if it lands;

Raal I find it difficult to follow your tips at the moment because you either tip or (predict but not a tip), and there’s so much of them, yesterday for example you suggested bets in 8 games, why ? Next its Dagenham & Redbridge vs Wycombe Wanderers (3pm) in the League 2 match. Dagenham have not conceded in 3 of their last 5 home matches, but they were against dodgy teams. Hearts V Queen Of South – Scottish Championship – 15:00
Newly crowned Hearts entertain 4th place promotion chasing Queens today at Tynecastle, it promises to be quite an occasion after Hearts won the title without being involved after Hibs succumbed to Rangers last Sunday. The atmosphere is always electric at Tynecastle but one can expect an ever noisier crowd today. I waited for team news here and i knew Hearts had a full squad besides Dale Carrick who is out injured, he wouldn’t of played anyway. They start with a strong line up again today Sow, Zeefuik, Eckersley, King and Walker all start (I named these 5 as they’re alway scoring) they have the firepower on the bench of James Keatings and Nicholson if required. Hearts have won their last 8 straight which is one hell of achievement, there is no doubt they are the best side in the division and have by far the best squad but the focus has been commendable. They have scored in their last 24 games and in all of their 14 home games this season. They have also kept clean sheets in 7 of their 14 at home. There last 4 matches seen them hit the net 20 times, half of them came in a 10-0 drubbing of lack luster Cowdenbeath however 3-0 and 3-1 away successes against Falkirk and Raith respectively show’s the performance level is still at a high. They are the league top scorers with 84 goals and 48 of them came in 14 home games.
Queen of the South come into this game of the back of a 3-0 horror loss at Raith in the midweek, after the game the manager said they made uncharacteristic mistakes, they’ll need to be perfect and then some to take anything today. Besides the loss in the last game they have beaten Raith and Cowdenbeath at home and got a 1-1 draw with Rangers at Ibrox. However conceding to cowdenbeath at home shows they are not a secure defensive unit. Hearts will create and hearts will score today. Queens have managed to score in 11 of 14 road trips this season, they failed at Hibs and Raith, perhaps most shockingly Dumbarton. Queens have also conceded 10 of the 14 away. They are at full strength besides Paul Burns being missing through injury.
In terms of H2H Hearts have won the last 3 competitive games and drew 3-3 in a cup game back in 2013. Earlier this season hearts managed a 4-1 victory against queens at tynecastle… they beat them 2-1 away aswell. The other H2H was a 3-0 away success for the Jambos.
Every week i look at Hearts, since i found this website i have followed Hearts mainly due to Raal, they always seem to do the business and i don’t expect anything less today, Im confident they will win but the price is to short for me, i love to take favourites on the -1.5 Asian Handicap and i think that is a good shout here aswell. Hearts have covered it in their last 4 games and beat queens 4-1 earlier this season. They will want to put on a show i suspect. Every time i back hearts they seem to smash 2 in from the 75th-90th which is interesting, perhaps they are fitter or maybe its the squad ability but i’ll likely look for another hearts goal in play once the clock strikes 70. Considering Hearts have hit 3 or more in the 4 H2H i think theres a good chance they could do so again with them trying to reach the 100 goal target.

In League 1 Peterborough have won four in a row at home while Coventry have won just 2 of their last 6 games. This fixture has ended in 1-0 wins for the posh and I think they are in good enough form to win again. They are 21/20 William Hill. I will also take a punt on O1.5g has this would have landed in 3 of the last 4 meetings. I think it worth risking at 6/5 William Hill.
In midweek I took goals in Luton’s home game against Wycombe and the bets were landed inside 20 mins and again I am going against the bookies odds and taking goals again. Luton haven’t scored on their last week away games but watching them in midweek they do look like they carry a goal threat going forward. Prior to this mini drought they had scored in 11 of 14 away games, so I think both teams to score is worth chancing at 21/20 William Hill.
In the goal scorer market I have settled AFC Wimbledon’s Adebayo Akinfenwa. He has 12 goals this season and while he is in a drought he did score in the earlier meeting this season and scored 2 goals at Tranmere last season whilst at Gillingham. I am taking a punt on him at 2/1 Bet365.

Godoy Cruz have started the season in a manner that is to be expected after last year. They have won twice,drawn once and lost the other 3. One thing that you can usually rely on with this side is a few goals, they have scored in 5 of their 6 games this term, scored in all 3 on their home turf , not to mention they have conceded in 5 of 6 and all 3 at home. They have lost their last 2 games most recently they fell 1-0 to 5th placed River Plate which is nothing to be concerned about. Especially, considering if you asked the average fan to name a team from Argentina… the likely answer would be River Plate. In the game prior to this they got smashed 5-1 in their own backyard by Lanus, however once again, a top outfit in Argentina who are regular competitors in the Copa Libertadores and currently 4th placed. Before the losses they took 2 wins from 2 winning 2-1 at home to Huracan before doing a job away at Nueve Chicago in which they won 2-0. More numbers show their entertainment value is not to be ignored, they have cored 7 and conceded 10 in the first 6, and seen 11 goals total in their 3 home games. Early on the season its hard to judge so look to last season stats which will tell you that Godoy scored 31 and conceded 39 in 19 games, 14 scored and 20 conceded in 9 home games. In fact they seen 14 of their 19 games go o2.5 match goals and averaged the highest goal to game ratio at 3.68. Tonight they will be without their top scorer Leandro Fernandez who was sent off last week in the 1-0 loss. He has 4 goals this term and with another goalscorer in Jaime Avoyi unavailable due to international commitments perhaps goals will be a rare problem. Thankfully Juan Alvacete managed to get a few minutes under his belt against River Plate and should get a starting berth tonight, he is a key man.
Onto the away side and Independiente sit in 6th position, They have started well and seen themselves win 3 times draw twice and lose only once to Belgrano. They have scored in every game so far this season and conceded in 5 of 6, they managed a clean sheet last tie out at home to Arsenal Sarandi, but anyone who watched that game is probably still wondering how. They score plenty as can be seen by the fact they have hit the net 12 times in 6 (Averaging 2 a game) however have also conceded 7 times and in all 3 away games. Their 3 away games have come against Newells, Union Santa and Quilmes, All of which sit below them in the table… like Godoy Cruz. Last term they hit 31 in 19 and conceded 29. The thing that struck out to me was that they conceded 17 of them away from home in just 9 games. They only have one player missing tonight and unfortunately for them its their key man in Federico Mancuello who got a deserved call up to the Argentinian squad, Mancuello has already netted 3 times this season and was their top scorer and assister last term. Thankfully Lucas Albertengo has netted 5 times this year and is on fire. Oh, i almost forgot to mention Godoy averaged the most goals last season as mentioned.. Indi were second best averaging 3.08 per game and seen 12/19 go over 2.5.
Going to the H2H the first thing to notice, despite Indi being the better side they have never beat Godoy away from home in 8 attempts, drawing 4 and losing 4. The last time the sides met it was a 2-2 draw. In 4 of the last 6 H2H we have seen o2.5 goals and in 3 of those both teams have netted, 2 out of 3 times both these feats have occurred when Godoy have been at home.
I predict goals tonight against the odds, despite each team missing a key player i think they both have enough potential to get on the scoresheet. If i was going WDW i would favour toward the away side but considering they haven’t won at Godoy in 8 attempts, i can’t be tempted. 3 bets that stand out to me are BTTS priced at 1.91 will William Hill , o2.5mg 2.25 Ladbrokes and Independiente to score at least twice , you can get that at 2.62 with Coral. terry, they will simply apologise and quote you their rules that state providing the cash out is discretionary and not a guaranteed service for customers. Ask for a complimentary bet for the inconvenience caused. Always be prepared to cover a bet as opposed to cashing out as that can be done with any other bookie.

paul, you missed my point mate, if you bet with bet365 for example you can only cash out a bet with bet365 but you can cover the same bet with any other bookie. An Over 2.5 goal bet for example can be covered if needed with an Under 2.5 goal bet with anyone to guarantee profit if the odds are favourable.

eastcoaster, the goal has been correctly credited to Huntelaar after initially being given to Sneijder. Bookies must pay out on Huntelaar and those who have settled on Sneijder can reverse the decision. Betfair have every right to take it back so be aware of that – and it’s fairly common.
