THERE were no winners last week so Owen Scott’s frustrating run goes on. My money’s on the William Hill man to land a treble before the season finishes – and could it be this weekend?
McBookie’s Paul Petrie has fared better with winnings this season of £218.83 to £10 stakes while Owen remains on £15.13. Here’s what the duo are on this weekend.
Owen writes: “I can only apologise once again for the lack of winners on my part, this has to be the worst run of results I’ve had since I started picking out a treble.
“This weekend I’m starting in the Scottish Junior Cup and taking holders Hurlford at 4-7 to beat Pollok and book themselves a place in the two-legged semi-finals. Pollok beat Ford a couple of weeks ago at home in the West of Scotland Cup but I reckon Hurlford will be able to do enough at home to get the win.
“Shettleston at 8-13 at home to Maybole is my next pick. Both these sides are pushing for promotion in the league but face each other in the West of Scotland Cup and I need to side with Shettleston as outside of Pollok they are the best side in the division.
“Broughty (5-4) away to Edinburgh Utd are my final pick. Edinburgh have been off the boil recently and I reckon Broughty can bring themselves back into the promotion race with a win”.

Paul writes: First up I am on Blairgowrie to beat Parkvale at 20-23. Parkvale did well to beat Kirrie in the last round but the Berrypickers are a fair bit better so should be too strong.
“Next I am on Bridge of Don to beat Fraserburgh at 8-15. With Buchanhaven being deducted points the title battle is all over the place but this is a must-win game for Bridge of Don if they are to take the title.
“Finally, I am going to take a punt on Grantown to beat Islavale. This is another title race that is going to the wire and if Grantown can pick up three points it will put them in the driving seat.”
