MY Top Treble record has been brilliant recently but the both teams to score winners have been in short supply.
It’s time to land a winner and I’m putting up a Scottish treble a well as a European over 2.5 goals line.
Let’s start with the scottish one that kicks off with Stenhousemuir v Dunfermline. It was 3-2 to the Pars when they met last month and last season the visitors won 5-4 and 2-1 at Ochilview.
Both sides need the points for different reasons and I expect both to score as they go for a victory.
Next take Annan v East Stirling. Shire are the league’s in-form team with four wins in five. They lost 4-3 at Annan on their last visit and the last seven meetings between the sides at Galabank have featured 35 goals.
Complete the treble with the 5.30pm televised game in the Championship. Again both sides need points and while Raith have netted in their last five Alloa should be lifted by their midweek 2-2 draw at Rangers and the signing of Michael Chopra.
Schalke-Bayer over 2.5 goals is my goals single. Schalke followed up their amazing 4-3 Champions League win at Real Madrid with a 2-2 draw against Hertha Berlin and their last four matches have gone over 2.5 goals. Bayer have netted 11 in winning their last five but are likely to concede tonight as Schalke have hit exactly two in four of the five previous playings of this fixture.
Stay in Germany for Paderborn v Hoffenheim. Paderborn have conceded 15 in four games, scoring none, and could be on the end of another heavy defeat to a side who have won four of their last six.
Complete the treble with Rayo v Athletic Malaga in La Liga. Rayo’s last three matches have totalled 17 goals and three of their last four meetings with Malaga have gone over 3.5.
