SCOTLAND blew it big time with a last-gasp defeat to Italy on Saturday and today it's the clash of the only unbeaten teams in the Six Nations.

England are braced for an aerial bombardment from Ireland's classy kickers Conor Murray and Jonathan Sexton at Lansdowne Road.

The English surprised many by winning at Wales in the first game of the campaign and are
13-10 outsiders at Coral this afternoon.

The Irish are 5-6 at Skybet and for the hosts to be winning at half-time and full-time it's 17-10 at Sportingbet.

Elsewhere today there's the likes of top-class golf and NBA action so post your sporting tips and chat here.

Has anyone tried using martingale method on the cricket on runs on the next ball? I know it’s dangerous betting but I’ve made £70 in 30 mins starting with a £1 stake on >0.5 runs each ball in two different matches. Seems outrageous odds to me in one day cricket and I’ve played against the Aussies in my youth so I know cricket.

    • JP 9 years ago

Evo21..that is a nice idea but never looked at the odds for it..but yes i have tried martingale sysytem in twenty 20 matches for “runs at fall of next wicket” market quite a lot of times and the result was positive..

Wont let me do it on 365, the odds are but keeps blocking me, saying market suspended. Even though its open and i can select any other option

Writing this Suns bet off at HT. Sorry lads. Only 24 points scored in the first half, 8/40 shots, 20%, in other words, SH*T!!

  8. Jordan 9 years ago

Suns ML @ 9/10 **LOSE** I did say small stakes so shouldn’t have hurt if you followed from last nights winners, but I can’t atone for the loss so apologies to anybody that followed. More confident on tomorrows bet it mind so hopefully get it back and then some. Sorry again lads.

Ronda Rousey is a freak of nature. The only value in that match was a first round finish. She only needed 14 seconds. Damn!

Brian. Is challenge bet series on the back burner for a while mate? Good luck anyway for your bets..

    • Brian 9 years ago

      Hello Redboy

Im away with work so sometimes just no time to research fully and write up reviews, so if i post and someone looses id feel bad.

      I was on Hearts/Hibs/Barca/Benfica yesterday @ 1.48/1
(bit of over kill as the scored 20 gaols between them)

      Today im on Club Brugge/Real Madrid/Arsenal @ 1.33/1

Due to having little time the next bet i have penciled in on the level stakes is Harrys tip of –
      India/South Africa double @ aprox 5/6

If todays wins will be level stakes, and if looses will be doubling up on the India/South Africa.

Keep an eye on Jordan as i do a few of his pick also, usually has a nice evens bet in the NBA

Barely had a chance to look at tomorrow’s matches yet but one that’s caught my eye is Davis v Errani. Errani on a hardcourt is something I have plans to back against a fair few times this season. The similarly diminutive Davis isn’t the most powerful player out there, but I think she has enough to get stuck into Errani. That serve is so attackable it’s ridiculous, and Davis knows how to play aggressive tennis. She beat Errani 2-0 the last time they played last year (on grass), and if she’s on her game it’s definitely a matchup she can be very competetive in. It could go either way, and Erranis best would win it for her, but @ 2/1 this is a no brainer risk for me.

    Davis d Errani @ 2/1

Davis 2-0 Errani @ around 9/2 (I think- can’t check odds properly at the moment)

    Rugby League..

Really fancy wigan to put a few points past Hull KR this afternoon and i will be on Wigan over 24.5 team points at 10/11

Also like the look of Wakefield +8 handicap cant see them getting beat by that many if at all, main bet however is

    ***Wigan over 24.5 team***

  17. Jordan 9 years ago

Bookies are being stingy not giving markets on the NBA and I’m going out so no NBA bets for me today gents.

If the markets were out I’d be taking Pacers -3.5, Boston/GSW over 207.5 and the Clippers on the biggest + spread @ 365 but that’s the one I’m waiting for. The other two pays 4/5 so by all means go for that but I’m not betting on it and will not claim it as a tip. Good luck whatever you go for.

    WTA Monterrey

    Hantuchova to win @ 22/1 E/W
    Pavlyuchenkova @ 10/1 EW

With a title and some good under tennis to her name already this year, I can’t turn her down at this price. The field is fairly weak, with even the top seed, and by a margin the best player in the draw, Ana Ivanovic, not guaranteeing too quality tennis. Hantuchova has a tricky first round match against Puig, but despite being underdog with the bookies I think she will win that, and from there her path to the final is as easy as they come at this level. Bacsinszky will be tired, Errani will hopefully be knocked out in the first round and is beatable if not, and Pavlyuchenkova, despite having won here several times, is just as likely to crash out early the eay she’s started this season as she is to go deep. Hantuchova is a previous finalist here herself and @ 22/1 I think represents better value than the Russian does @ 10’s. I will also back Pavlyuchenkova based purely on her previous success here (she has never lost here and won three titles in the last five years) but I’m hoping Hantuchova can bring her best this week and get her second title of the year.

  25. Ad 9 years ago

So I said the Monterrey field was weak….

    WTA Kuala Lumpur

Caroline Wozniaki aside, this is another field that fails to inspire. Clearly I’m not going to tip or back her @ 10/11, so it’s a case of trying to somehow find the player who will take advantage of a manageable draw. It’s pretty much impossible, but I’m going to risk two bright young things and hope one of them has a break out week.

    Kozlova @ 40/1 E/W BV
    Kulichkova @ 20/1 E/W

It goes without saying that I’m not staking much on any of my WTA ante post bets, and I wound’t advise anyone to do so. But these two have talent in abundance and have both had encouraging starts to the year. Kozolva has already beaten some established names in Watson, Vesnina, Flipkens and Barthel, and for that reason I’m surprised she’s available at double the odds of the less experienced Kulichkova. Kulichkova, three years younger, scored her best win of the year in the last round against the red hot Gavrilova. She will need to up her first serve percentage to go deep this week, but if she does she has the weapons to do some damage in a vulnerable field. Both will probably end up falling early, but someone’s got to have some faith in the next generation!

    • Brian 9 years ago

Kozolva 20/1 on 365 and 26/1 on PP
Cant back her at that if you saying 40/1
Cant get onto BV from here

Just to stress, outright bets like this are very much bonus bets for me. Low stakes and highly speculative!

  27. mac 9 years ago

HI Ad any bet on Nadal-Monaco? thanks

  28. mac 9 years ago

Jordan Huggy Atilla any tips on early game please thanks?

  29. Ad 9 years ago

I backed Monaco 6-1, 6-2 first set for v low stakes. I have monaco to win the tournament so no bets from me on the winner of this. Rafa dominates the head to head so badly it’s hard to be confident in Juan…..But I have a sneaky feeling he can be competitive if he starts well, he’s playing really well.

  30. Ad 9 years ago

Oh yeah, and 2-0 Monaco @ 20/1 as well, just because I couldn’t resisst!

  31. paul 9 years ago

    Clippers game u 183.5 10/11

    Tight low scoring affair

Will be about 90-87 to clippers

  32. Ad 9 years ago

Backing against Rafa here is next to madness, so best off keeping most of your money in your pocket chaps! Not sure why i backed Monaco outright really!

  33. Steve 9 years ago

break of serve 7th game to Rafa set over
    Good night Monaco

  34. Jordan 9 years ago

Sorry mac I’ve been out most of the day but posted my thoughts on the games I’d take tonight. Clippers on the + was the first one which won. Didn’t place a bet tonight so just seeing how my markets would have faired.

  35. Ad 9 years ago

Rafa looking so, so much better than he did last week. I was even starting to entertain the idea he might not win the French after watching him toil in Rio, but I knew deep down, as always, that he will be the man to beat in Paris. Monaco would’ve taken down last weeks Rafa no problem. The fact Fabio Fognini beat him from a set down tells you all you need to know about how sub-par he was!

  36. Shotty 9 years ago

Trying a new market on the nba going for half time team points gone for the pacers over 51.5 and the thunder over 48.5 as a double good luck guys

  37. Jordan 9 years ago

Shotty good luck but no Westbrook or Durant for the Thunder so that may struggle.

  38. tomekplnd 9 years ago

Realised betting on the Pacers is so good to me, fairly reliable team!

  39. Jordan 9 years ago

Tom you wouldn’t have been saying that in January mate haha. But it can only get better with Paul George in training now.

Shotty looks as if your double is coming in but no odds or bookies quoted so it doesn’t help many people mate.

  40. tomekplnd 9 years ago

Their recent form proves it though, beating some solid teams.

  41. Jordan 9 years ago

    Key word there mate, recent.

  42. tomekplnd 9 years ago

Jordan don’t you think betting on the first half is best since from there many teams tend to just hold onto the lead, rather than increase it?

    • Jordan 9 years ago

I mentioned this to Brian yesterday. Bookies give us markets that give us a chance of winning right up to the end of the buzzer which is 48 minutes worth of play in basketball, so why risk trying to get bets up in 24 minutes? All it takes is the instance of my Phoenix bet last night to have a poor first quarter and the bet is ruined. It’s just not my way of betting mate.

  43. tomekplnd 9 years ago

    Fair enough mate.

  44. Shotty 9 years ago

Jordan your right the double came in should of included the price though like you said will post next time,

I like the half time points seems like teams fly out and get 50+ points by half time but then die down second half.

My earlier rugby tip was a loss but this makes up for it
