IT'S been a pretty quiet week and I've enjoyed having some down time after a hectic season – but that stops for the next three days.
World Cup qualifiers take centre stage over the weekend and on Friday there are nine matches in the European section.
These include Sweden v France, Estonia v Belgium and Latvia v Portugal. I've had a good look at the card and it's not always easy finding with some mismatches.
For a Super Single I'm taking a -1 double. Belgium thumped Estonia 8-1 at home and even without Eden Hazard and Moussa Dembele should win by at least two.
Latvia are less leaky but Portugal have netted 19 in five games and with Cristiano Ronaldo in inspired form they should also win by at least two in Riga. It was 4-1 when they met in Lisbon.
I like France to win in Sweden but both to score could be the better bet. It was 2-1 in Paris and the Swedes have a goalscorer in the shape of Leipzig's Emil Forsberg.
Both sides have netted 10 goals in their five qualifiers so start a Top Treble with goals in Stockholm.
Add Bulgaria not to lose in Belarus for a Daily double. The Bulgarians are just one point behind Sweden in Group A and beat Holland 2-0 last time out. Belarus have just two points and two goals from five outings and while Bulgaria should win I'll keep the draw on side.
I'm also trying a 1pt anytime scorer double on France wonderkid Kylian Mbappe and Belgium's Dries Mertens. Ronald should score but is 1-3 or if you like take first scorer at 2-1 with McBookie.
I've written my betting preview on Scotland v England and that will be posted late tonight.
On Thursday my only bet was a tennis double that was beaten by Jelena Ostapenko's brilliant win.
And if you're having your first bet with 888sport you'll get treble the odds.

Typical of my luck at the moment, Cameroon U21’s go into the interval with an unexpected 1-0 lead only for France U21 to blast three past them in the second forty five… The awful run continues but just about keeping the faith. Well done to yesterday’s winners.

SkyBet @uno
Terms state it needs someone from each party in the cabinet not just a coalition.
Yeah i seen that it is also 5/4 that another election will be called this year. I would imagine one of them would be a strong possibility ?
Morning chaps
Well what an eventful night’s drama in the election eh. Strong and stable suddenly looking weak and wobbly. Anyone who followed the tips I put up re Labour total seats and Labour gains in specific constituencies will be a few quid better off today as we were pretty close to a full house. Labour breezed way past 200 seats & took Gower, Vale of Clwyd, Leeds NW and Sheffield Hallam all at odds against. Very satisfying nights work!
On to today’s WC qualifiers and one game that catches my eye is Gibraltar v Cyprus. I can’t help but feel the Gibraltarians are being just slightly underestimated looking at the prices around. I’ll admit that usually I would take teams to batter them on the handicaps but they seem to have marginally improved this campaign in that they have at least scored a couple of goals! The reverse fixture only finished 3-1 to the Cypriots who have never been a high scoring team and that’s the angle I am going to go after with this game. Cyprus have only scored more than 2 goals in an away game once in the past 6 years (at Andorra) and I get the feeling they may be frustrated again tonight. Can see a 1-0 or 2-1 sort of situation rather than the visitors running away with it.

2.05 (Bet Victor)
19:45 Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Greece – PREDICTION – 2.1
Best Bets – Bosnia to win @7/10, BTTS @5/4
Key Facts
* Bosnia have won 6 of their last 7 home qualifiers since 2015
* Bosnia have scored 12 goals in their 3 home qualifiers so far in this campaign with 5.0 wins over Estonia and Gibraltar as well as a 2.0 win over Cyprus
* Edin Dzeko has scored 10 goals in his last 11 appearances for club and country
* Greece have scored 11 goals in their last 5 away fixtures. They had only scored 3 in their previous 10 away games (not including Euro 2016)
* Greece have scored in 16 of their last 18 away International qualifiers
FInal Verdict
Bosnia are very strong at home and while the Greeks have improved their form following a managerial change, I can’t see them getting anything from this tie with Bosnia needing 3 points to maintain their hopes of qualification but Greece do have a fine record of scoring in away qualifiers so perhaps a home win with BTTS could be the final outcome here.
World Cup Qualification Grp. B
19:45 Latvia vs Portugal – Prediction – 0.3
Best Bets – Portugal to win -2 @10/11, Ronaldo to score 2 or more @5/4
Key Facts
* Latvia have lost each of their last 5 fixtures. 2 of them by more than 2 goals in 2 of their last 3 fixtures and by more than 1 goal in 4 of their last 5.
* Latvia conceded 14 in those 5 games, scoring only 1, in their 4.1 loss at Portugal in November of last year
* Portugal have won by 3 goals or more in 6 of their last 8 fixtures
* Portugal have scored 30 goals in their 8 international fixtures since winning Euro 2016
* Portugal won 6.0 in their most recent away qualifier at the Faroes
* Ronaldo has scored 10 goals in his last 5 International appearances for Portugal with 2 or more scored in 3 of those 5 games
* Ronaldo has scored 2 goals or more on 16 occasions for Portugal
* Ronaldo scored 2 goals or more in 4 of his last 6 appearances for Real Madrid at the end of the season including 2 in the Champions League final
* Ronaldo has scored 19 goals in his 14 most recent games for Real Madrid
Final Verdict
You have to fancy the man of the moment, Cristiano Ronaldo, to continue his stunning form here against a bang average Latvian side that have performed miserably so far in qualifying and with Portugal in wonderful form since their Euro 2016 triumph and lead by their talismanic captain, I expect a thumping away win with Ronaldo surely too good to ignore at 5/4 to score 2 or more with 19 goals in his last 14 outings for Real and 10 in his last 5 for Portugal.
World Cup Qualification Grp. A
19:45 Belarus vs Bulgaria – Prediction – 0.0
Best Bets – DRAW @9/4
Final Verdict
Bulgaria seem the stronger but they rarely win on the road while Belarus have a decent record at home, losing only 4 of their last 17 and with Bulgaria losing 6 of their last 7 away qualifiers, we could be on course for a dull draw here.
19:45 Netherlands vs Luxembourg – Prediction 4.0 – No bets
19:45 Sweden vs France – Prediction 2.2
Best Bets – BTTS @1/1, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @13/8
Key Facts
* Sweden have scored in their last 13 home International qualifiers, with the Swedes managing 2 or more in 10 of those 13 fixtures
* Sweden have seen over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of their last 10 home qualifiers
Final Verdict
France are fancied to win but Sweden are in good form and while Zlatan has now retired from International duty, the Swedes have found new talent in the shape of Leipzig forward Emil Forsberg who has 3 goals in his last 4 for the Swedes and I fancy the hosts to make a real battle of what looks like the best game of the evening so goals should be on the cards with BTTS my pick from Stockholm and while many are tipping an away win with the French packed full of quality, I do fancy the hosts to perhaps sneak a point in an entertaining contest.
Friday Best Bets

Thanks very much.
Let’s hope the good Holland team turns up tonight and not the flop Holland team – most inconsistent under-performing International squad ever
Favouring the former, a lot of their youngsters are coming good now.
They should win (again). I think below will be the line-up, it looks more solid at the back with the Lazio Roma duo in the centre.
Cillessen
Veltman – Hoedt – de Vrij – Blind
Wijnaldum – Sneijder – Strootman
Robben – Janssen – Depay
Thanks for the team line-up @mr-orange
I think they should win comfortably before, but Holland have always been my bogey team for betting… they love to let me down!
Are you betting on them?
No, absolutely not :)
They are improving, but I think it’s too late to qualify.

Afternoon gents – who’d of thought politics could have so much appeal?
Looks like the Tories are dazed and confused with the outcome but that’s what you get if you employ Dom 77 to run your pre-election campaign ?
Back to the football and after a sh*te week, I’ve fared much better these last 2 days – hopefully get a couple more winners under my belt heading into the weekend!
Whilst most eyes will be on the Internationals, I’m swerving these in favour of two slightly more obscure destinations; Iceland and Trinidad & Tobago…
KFG VS. KARI (22.00 KO):
Little known fact about the home side whose full name is KNATTSPYRNUFÉLAG GARÐABÆJAR – these guys are Elvis Parsley’s favourite side and he has a tatoo to prove it – it’s a real hit with the ladies on the Maes-G estate…and especially impressive given where the tatoo is – the old dog!
These two met back in March with a final scoreline of 3-3 and neither side are strangers to goals with MGS totals as follows:
KFG: 6-3-4-7-3-5-4-3-3-3-6-7
KARI: 7-5-10-1-4-3-8-4-6-8-5
Not too shabby and although markets are always limited in the 3 Deild matches, I still reckon there’s some value to be had:
FHGL 1.5…1.825
???
GL 3.5,4.0…1.800

Best of luck with all bets and will look to post reasoning for Sando’s game as the Trinidad & Tobago Premier makes a welcome return ?

Just been looking back through Holland’s fixtures and they rarely keep a clean sheet. Luxembourg may not be the continents giants but they have scored 6 goals this campaign and that includes one against Holland already but France also and a couple against Bulgaria. The odds on offer are too good against one of Europe’s biggest underachievers.

CLUB SANDO VS. MORVANT CALEDONIA UNITED (23.00 KO):
After a 4 month lay-off the T&T Pro League is back and (despite my wide berth/suspicion of it in seasons gone by) it was an absolute cracker for goals before the break.
Sando finished in fine form with goals-a-plenty and scored 3-3-4-2 team goals in their last 4 consecutive league games to close out the campaign.
2016 H2H’s saw 6-4-1-3 MGS and I’ll take a small stake early season punt on the following:
GL 3.0…1.800

So, 3 goals sees stake back…any more and we’ll be like a pig in sh*t.
