IT'S been a couple of no-bet days but that all changes tonight with the start of the European U-21 finals and the return of League of Ireland.
Then tomorrow we see the Confederations Cup kick-off in Russia so there will be plenty of tips before I go away on Sunday with Scott Allot holding fort for four or five days.
Sean Ireland posted Irish tips the other night and I like his Cork -1 at 10-11 with Paddy Power. He also tipped goals in the game and for an Irish treble I'm on over 2.5 match goals and his both to score prediction at Finn Harps v Shamrock. Check his comment for the reasoning.
To complete a treble I'm adding one of my own – Derry City not to lose at Bray. Derry are unbeaten in eight and are back on form while Bray have gone the other way – not winning in five after a bright start. Take Derry not to lose.
England are a shade odds on in their group opener against Sweden who are bigger than 4-1. Aidy Bothroyd's boys qualified well but this will be a test and with the Swedes conceding two goals in each of their last three games over 2.5 could be a shout in Poland.
Today's other game sees the hosts tackle Slovakia who are 14-5 at Marathonbet. I'll need to look into it a bit more but that looks big. The Poles only qualified because they're hosts while Slovakia finished above Holland to qualify and seem to be a decent outfit.
Last night I put up Slovakia draw no bet as a Super Single at 7-4 with Unibet and today I see plenty of people tipping them to win the match and also their group so let's hope I've called it correctly.
Thursday's only bet was a golf threeball and while David Lingmerth won it was beaten by Daniel Summerhays tying with one of his playing partners.
Ace's man Rickie Fowler leads by one after a superb, stress-free seven-under 65. His celebrated playing partners Jon Rahm (76) and Hideki Matsuyama (74) are struggling to make the cut and Fowler looks decent value at 7-4 to outscore them again.
That could be a single but I'm adding Adam Scott to make it an 11-2 double. The Aussie was four over before four birdies clawed him back to level and in contention. That was a great effort when he could have let it slip away completely.
You have to assume he'll beat Bubba Watson who is long but sometimes wild and fired 75 yesterday but Masters champ Sergio Garcia is a danger. He scrambled well in a 70 but Scott finished better and I'm backing him at almost 2-1.
