IT was one Super Single winner out of two so a slight profit on the night. Both teams to score came up at Bohemians v Shamrock Rovers but Dundalk fell a goal short as they won a hard-fought match 2-1 at Sligo.
For the second night in a row the Top Treble was close and to be fair it was the riskiest leg of the 7-1 line that let it down – Memphis Depay to score for Holland. I was correct with btts at Iceland and Wales +1.
As has been the case over the last few weeks my Daily Record tips have a mixture of Saturday and Sunday games but that's not the case for the site.
My first Super Single is Argentina -1 in their Copa America opener against Paraguay. I've tipped Argentina to win the tournament in Chile and they should make a confident start.
Argentina are also in the treble with Uruguay in their opener against guests Jamaica plus Portugal away to Armenia in their Euro qualifier.
Poland -1 at home to Georgia is the same price but for a second Super Single I'm going with Faroes draw no bet at 6-1 with bet365 and BetVictor. They beat Greece 1-0 away and since then the Greeks have failed to score against Hungary and Serbia – in fact it's one strike in five games and they sit bottom of Group F with two points.
My team Clydebank would probably beat the Faroes and while the Greek success is their only one so far they've conceded just seven goals in five qualifiers so are tougher to break down these days. I've seen some tips for the Faroes at 17-2 with boylesports but I'm keeping the draw on side.
Faroes v Greece features on my under 2.5 goals treble and I've posted a separate preview on Republic of Ireland v Scotland where there is reasoning for unders in Dublin.
Complete the treble with under 2.5 goals at Northern Ireland v Romania. Five of Ireland's last six have gone under and all of Romania's last six including a 2-0 home defeat to the Irish.
All top tips prices are now correct – I know what I did wrong earlier but it's not worth explaining. Anyone who thinks the Top Treble is too short can add Poland at home to Georgia to take it to 23-10 with BetVictor.

A couple of things observed so far from the Womens World Cup..
1. Why do outfield players take goal kicks?
2. Daft, illogical decision making. Example:
a minute into stoppage time at the end of the 1st half, Nigeria Women win a corner. Instead of actually putting it into the box to pose a threat, they decide to play a short corner. Half time whistle instantly blown as soon as this is done, set piece opportunity needlessly wasted.

I’m going to throw a fiver on the Swedish defender Nilla Fischer who scored against Nigeria the other day. Yes USA are good for a womens team, but lets be realistic, this just isn’t a sport they should be playing. That being said, one of Fischers traits is her dominance in set pieces and shes already scored from one, albeit a tap in. She also scored three times in Euro 2013 for the Swedes. Australia got plenty of chances against the US and I think the Swedes will too and you never know what will happen is this sport.

When Mexico play they usually send a development team to gain experience. Two teams are asked each year and it could be Scotland’s ticket to a major finals if they don’t make it to Euro 2016!

Just had a look at the Mexico line up. The majority of the team plays in the Mexican league and they’re playing Bolivia. With my experience of late night punting in South American leagues, these two leagues come across as two of the worst disciplined countries when it comes to football. This match intrigues me,get the feeling Germany dont go out to absolutely humiliate the minows in football as what do they need to prove? I’ve over staked already today so I won’t be complaining if this goes tits up..but as this morning went reasonably well with a few points profit and I’m confident on tonight’s picks, what’s the worst that can happen!
I had a bit of spare time today so delved a little deeper into a few of the euro games and may have found a little value in the team there is hardly any value in, Germany. I agree with Sean Ireland’s post above on the game about it taking a similar pattern to the last game.
Germany haven’t been great since their world cup triumph last summer and there may be a little more pressure on them in this game than would ever have been expected due to recent performances and not being top in their qualifying group etc. I believe they’ll want to blitz Gibraltar in the first half and then once the game is settled, they’ll take the second half to relax and treat as a training ground kick about. I can’t see them relaxing right from the start, as if they don’t score in the first 20/30 minutes they’ll start getting nervous and they won’t want any unnecessary pressure in what should be a routine win. For these reasons, I’m backing Germany -2 1st half handicap.
As well as my gut instinct as to how the game will pan out (similar to Sean) the stats back this up too. Germany have scored 66% (6/9) of their goals in this campaign in the first halves of games, and as the bookmakers expect them to notch 6-8, it’s not unreasonable to think they’ll get 3 in the first half. If you haven’t gathered yet, I’m completely discounting Gibraltar scoring, although they did against Scotland (haha). Gibraltar on the other hand have been losing by 3 goals or more in 4 of their 5 games in this campaign, in games against Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and Poland. Fellow whipping boys Georgia were only 2-0 at half time, in Gibraltar. Added to this, Germany recently scored early goals against USA and Australia (far superior and resilient teams) and I reckon they’ll want to break the deadlock as early as possible today too rather than relax and have added second half pressure
