Johnb i ment to say to you earlier mate in your response about Victor Estrella and Golden Horn double(wich I have as a treble with Ennistown now)

You said Victor in Columbia at altitude is like Chile playing at home…rather you said Bolivia but as long as your not getting your high altitude tournament’s mixed up then lets go Victor 😛
Thanks for yesterday tip…few of the lads on it too :)

Wishing everyone all the best for a winning Friday! I can’t believe the amount of winners tipped on Thursday’s thread! Amazing! JohnB’s NAP/NB was a great shout to cap it all off. Good luck all. T

Treble and a double last couple of days so let’s hope it continues. Harder to find any I’m certain of tomorrow so looked for a bit of value.

Been reading the thread and comments religiously each and every day. I often try to comment whilst at work, but still I can’t post comments away from WiFi unfortunately.
just want to say well done to all those that keep coming back each day and more often than not produce winner after winner. Far too many to mention, but you all know by now who they all are!!
I’ve been very disciplined with John’s tips, and it’s proving rather profitable. The guy is in great form right now, and it’s very much appreciated. Just one question though Johnb. Wednesday you said your two selections was your strongest looking double in a while. That got me thinking, would you ever advise a “double stake” double? I personally doubled my stake for that particular double, and stuck with each way, so saw profit from the returns. I will often cover your doubles each way, providing if both place that I will see a slight profit at least.
keep up the great work guys. I’m off to the Algarve Saturday for 10 nights, but will continue to observe throughout

  7. Geodf 1 year ago

No idea where the tennis tip came from but started well winning the first set. I lazily backed it blind basically because JohnB said to.

Those tactics are much more profitable than my own bets at least until the footy season starts.

Another good looking tip today. Thanks JohnB!

  8. Luke A 1 year ago

Took your tennis tip with golden horn in a double too. He’s just gone 1-0 up in sets, so looking good so far. Also got 15/2 for him to win the tourney. Looking at the draw, Tomic in the semi may be his biggest threat

Once again M JOHNSTON saved my day yesterday 3 winners and a forcast plus really good priced e/w horses 20/1 and 16/1

JOHNSTON has got 13 horses out today spread over 5 meetings so will have to be choosey , obviously cant bet them all.

Also some great winners again oh here

  22. WasClueless 1 year ago

Boz – on the theory that Johnston is more likely to train a winner than I can pick one I found 10 (£1 on each) and a couple e/w!!
Ascot (3)Master of Finance e/w , Midlander, Showstoppa Newmarket (4)Triassiz, Mistymoistymorning, Atlantic Affair, Novania
    Chepstow (2)Shes Invincible, Duke Street.
    York (1) New Caledonia e/w
Showstoppa, Triassiz and Novancia were shortest.

There are 2 that i think are very interesting and will be backing them ew myself.

    5.45 Well Done Me
Yet to win a race after 17 runs but finds himself down in 47-65 hcap and is top weight. I just cant help feel theres a bit of a plot going on with this one but of course i could be completely wrong. I took 7s ew on him last night so my advise on this one would be to monitor the market.

    6.15 Praire Wind

Andy Oliver yard going well and his only other 2yr old runner since the start of june won at 14/1 so at 9/2 for a fto horse must mean theres a bit of confidence behind him

Hope this helps and enjoy the day. GL

Think too much is made of horses being able switch form all weather and turf,

    *ASCOT GOING CHANGE
3mm of rain / going is now good to soft

  56. johnb 1 year ago

    Weather Updates:
9mm rain to 1.30pm. Still raining lightly. Rain/showers expected through the afternoon and overnight, clearing on Saturday morning. Drier weather to follow on Saturday.

Winds are also expected Saturday so ground should also dry out a bit
Nothing in Golden Horns action suggest that he wouldn’t like cut in the ground and I have also said previously that I think he could get 1m 6f

  57. johnb 1 year ago

Every 3yo gets weight from older horses because the are not as physical built as there older horses,
The amount of weight they receive reduces as the season goes on because they are building up physically as the season goes on.
A horse can’t be judged any less because it receives weight
The majority of racing enthusiasts can see how good Golden Horn is and can give credit where credit is due.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and not everyone will like the same horse

The Watcher they wouldn’t ease the price like that if they thought he wasn’t going to run because any other horse backed after 10am this morning would have a rule 4 which means people would get less of a rule 4
Probably the reason is people have stopped backing him because they are already on and bookies are just trying to tempt them for more as most of the money will be on at better than odds on

The going at Ascot is now described as Soft but this is Dave Edwards view who is well regarded in racing.

Ryan Moore’s verdict on Golden Horn and the other King George runners

I am sure that Golden Horn is the best horse in the King George.
It’s great that connections are campaigning him as they are.
It’s good for racing, it’s great to have the Derby winner in the King George.
The race deserves to have a top class Derby winner in it.
Hopefully he runs now, hopefully the ground doesn’t get so soft that connections decide to take him out.
The rain complicates things a little, but Golden Horn has won with cut in the ground, and I think that he will handle conditions.
The ground does change things though.
A lot of the main contenders’ best form is on good or fast ground, a lot of them are stepping into the unknown a little on the ground.

Eagle Top might like it. He is by Pivotal, whose progeny generally tend to like easy ground, and he is a full-brother to The Lark, who went well on easy ground. Also, his dam is a half-sister to Sariska, who won the Irish Oaks on bottomless ground. Eagle Top is going to have to step forward from his Hardwicke Stakes run, but he was a good winner of the King Edward last year and he is still relatively lightly-raced.

It is not surprising that Flintshire has been taken out of the race. He is a top of the ground horse and I was giving him a chance on fast ground. Hopefully nothing else comes out now, hopefully the race doesn’t cut up any more, because it is a really interesting race as it is.

Romsdal’s form this year is not good enough, but he goes on soft ground and he was second in the St Leger last year. The more it rains, the more his chance increases.

Snow Sky is a very good-moving horse, we have always felt that he is at his best on fast ground. He did win his maiden on heavy ground, and he was ran well on his debut last season on easy ground, but it was fast ground when he won the Yorkshire Cup on his debut this term, and it was fast when he won the Hardwicke Stakes last time. That said, he should go on easy ground, as long as it’s not sticky.

The Corsican ran well in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot, he finished off his race well over 10 furlongs, but that was a messy enough race, we were all in a bit of a heap in the home straight. He is progressive, but he is going to have to step forward again.

Madame Chiang didn’t run too badly in the Middleton Stakes at York on her debut this season. We know that she goes well on soft ground, she won the Musidora last year on soft ground, and she won the Group 1 fillies’ race at Ascot on Champions Day in October over the King George course and distance on heavy.

But Golden Horn really ought to win.
He has drifted from about 4/9 to about 4/6, but that is probably fair. I wouldn’t really be advising people to back him at 4/6, he has a tricky enough draw in stall eight, but I still think that he will win. It’s one of those races that you can watch and just hope that he will win.

I know virtually nothing about horse racing so followed Boz advice on M Johnston horses and placed 10 bets last night to get better odds on his horses – on y/day thread and near top of this thread…
    Result 5 winners, 1 e/w and 3 losers :)
How do you find his runners tomorrow without going through every race?? Thanks

The Watcher big Hitters were on at 11/4 5/2 2/1 and so on
The big hitters don’t mind a horse being pulled out because they get the odds to make it work long term

If anyone wants to take an early price on the forecast bet365 are offering 11.43/1
I don’t know if that is good value compared to the actual forecast odds if it wins but it’s an early option if anyone wants it

  127. Wato 1 year ago

Johnb just wanted to check never placed this type of bet before do you just choose each horse for 1st and 2nd in the forecast section of the race on Bet365?

  128. Saint93 1 year ago

Very rarely comment on this site and to be honest never really bother following others tips whether it’s football, horse racing etc but for the past 18 months I’ve followed your tips JohnB every day and can’t thank you enough. God knows how much money you’ve made me, could just tell from day 1 you had proper knowledge of the horse racing game and I appreciate what you do massively.

Off to the races tomorrow at my local track (Salisbury) and wondered if anything there stood out to you JohnB? Thanks in advance mate.

  129. johnb 1 year ago

Wato on bet365 near the bottom of the page they have all the runners by name and next to that they have 1st 2nd and any
Straight forecast just click on 1st for Weld Al Emarat and click on 2nd for Yorkshire Dales

If you want to take less of a risk click on “any” for both horses for a reverse forecast but that’s two times your stake

  130. Wato 1 year ago

Johnb thanks for the quick reply mate on the straight forecast as tipped best of luck tomorrow as always enjoying following your tips on a daily basis
