FOR the second day in a row I put up a double as the Super Single with the same result – a nice easy win.
AIK beat Sundsvall 4-1 and Rosenborg routed Odd 3-0 to bring up the 13-10 gamble.
The Daily Double was less fortunate and beaten at the first hurdle by no goals at Stabaek which was a major surprise going by the stats.
I've slowly built the Super Single to a 10.2pts profit this month and that will continue to be my tactic until the season starts.
There's not much to look at on Monday with some league games plus a few friendlies. Hammarby face Falkenbergs and Helsingborg tackle Djurgaarden in Sweden, FC Inter entertain Mariehamn in Finland and in the Irish First Division it's Cabinteely v Waterford – second bottom v bottom and a tough one to call with both in awful form.
Hammarby and Falkenbergs are both off form so I'll leave that alone while Helsingborg v Djurgarden looks good for both to score with seven of the last nine meetings going that way. It pays 4-6 at bet365.
Seven from nine is also the figure for Inter Turku-Mariehamn fixtures and this is a clash between third and fourth. Inter have netted three goals in their last three home games and Mariehamn have hit the target on six of their last seven visits to Inter.
So for the Daily Double let's go with both to score at Helsingborg and Inter Turku.
One friendly I've looked at is the Barclays Asian Trophy tie between Singapore Select and Arsenal. Singapore are reprsented by the top players from the S League as well as foreigners Kento Fukuda of Japan, French full-back Sirina Camara, Argentine striker Nicholas Velez and Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Tosi.
Premier League sides have only last once since the tournament started in 2003 so history is on Arsenal's side and it will be worth backing them if they start with a strong side as is expected.
I won't be around during the day on Monday as it's another golf trip as I enter the second week of my hols – but when I return I'll see if there's anything I like as the Super Single although I'm happy to wait until later in the week and the Champions League and Europa League qualifiers.

Quite pleased with the first week live but would really have liked another win as I’m now running at a 72% strike rate from the 146 games the system has idenitfied so 7 out of 10 would be more representative. Out of all the criteria by far the most successful denominators are for both teams to average O3.5mg season to date, top side being at home and for the home side to average O1.5mg for and against at home and the same for the away side. These 3 criteria all have above a 73% win rate. Surprisingly to me both teams averaging O2.5mg in last 6 games is least successful criteria with only 67% win rate.
Heading into week 2 I will of course take these stats into account but am also going to use the same criteria (with less average goals) to look for games with O1.5mg to try and help identify winning bets on days with slimmer pickings. I will try to keep these to a minimum in my selections until I have some solid information but don’t be surprised to see some creep in. In the future I will start to look at team goals too.

Hard to judge on recent home and away form respectively as Vancouvers last 5 league games have been away while 4 of the last 5 for Kansas have been at home. Both teams are in pretty good form though- Vancouver 3 wins from those 5 & Kansas 4 from 5.
Again hard to judge on overall home & away form, Kansas have the 2nd worst away record so far with only 1 league win. Vancouver have the 2nd worst home record though they have still won 50% of those games scoring over 1.5 team goals in 5 from 8.
Mo ra les is a big miss for Vancouver with his creativity leading to many chances for goals but I still like the look of Ros al es, Tech era & Mannah around & alongside Rivero.
Kansas have no major injuries but are still missing Opara through injury, I think he gives them a more solid look when he’s in the team.
Anyway not much in it but I’ve sided with the home side to notch a couple of goals. They beat them last season at home for the first time ever so hopefully they have the believe to do it again…..
