FRIDAY'S Super Single winner was strangely inspired by a contributor putting up what looked good shout but turned out a loser.
When I saw Terry Ire tip over 1.5 Cambridge cards at 11-10 v Man United I liked it and with no value anywhere else on the game I decided to play slightly safer with over 2.5 cards in the match.
Cambridge were more disciplined than expected and the card count finished 2-1 in favour of Man United – so my bet was a winner but Terry's unfortunately wasn't.
So once I again I'm one win away from returning the 2015 figure to a profit – but as regulars will know my actual profit/loss figure is much different thanks to successfully covering some of the losers.
Last Saturday punters won fortunes backing the Premier League favourites but today will be so much tougher with the FA Cup dominating the card. Team news has been posted separately but that doesn't always take into account the players being rested and plenty of sides will be weakened so keep an eye out for line-ups.
I've pretty much steered clear of the FA Cup games – with one or two exceptions – but of course that means a restricted card so my advice today would be to play for lower than usual stakes.
My Super Single could be risky too – so it's a 3-pointer – and raaljaca won't be backing it. I've been impressed with Hibs recently and their firepower is superb. I'm backing them at 6-5 to win away to a Queen of the South side they haven't scored against in two meetings this season.
Alan Stubbs' men, however, have hit a rich vein of form, scoring 18 in six games and beating Rangers 4-0 and drawing 1-1 with Hearts in that spell. Confidence is sky high and I'm backing them to end their jinx at a difficult venue.
I picked Hibs ahead of the likes of Huddersfield at a Wigan side who have just lost Ben Watson and Shaun Maloney and are in poor form and Yeovil at home to Coventry. Yeovil should win but have some injury problems.
Brechin v Peterhead in Scottish League One was off early and later Cowdenbeath v Rangers in frozen Fife bit the dust.

bad jasper, I’ve answered you before and you don’t understand the concept or the maths. Of course I’ve covered winners but very cheaply (max 1pt) – as all cover bets should be. To cover a loser you’re saving at least 5pts at a time. If I had a spare few hours I’d go through every cover I’ve made – winner or loser – and I know the profit for this month would be in the region of 25-30pts.

Daz, when I cover it’s normally to return stake because you still hope your initial bet wins – but sometimes odds change so quickly you can actually make a small profit. Last week, and I put up comments at the time, I wanted to cover the draw at Leeds-Birmingham but was waiting until it went close to 5-1 so I’d spend £10 (1pt for me). But when I hit the button it was 6-1 draw so while I lost my £50 SS stake I made £60 profit on the cover. This figure is not included in the profit/loss figure but is an example why for me the 2015 SS is in profit.

Just watched the debarcle of Uraguay U20’s. had a small acca and waiting on Uraguay. Stupidly I expected them to finish off winning the group in style, never realised they’d need to be beaten by the worst team in their group 7 nil to finish 2nd in the group. So @ 1 nil down, I cashed out and with 15 mins left, I lumped on Venezuela.
I nearly cried when in the 93rd minute Uraguay scored. The two-ing and fro-ing between the ref ( who had already pointed for the centre-circle restart ) – then restarted the game from the downed goalkeepers position, mass confusion occurred – by now the 101st minute. As soon as the keeper kicks the ball, bet365 chalk off Uraguays equaliser and after trawling the net for the confirmed result and pestering bet365, they confirm it ended 1-0, not 1-1. pheeeeeeeeeeeew.
Morale of the story: never bet on a team that has NOTHING to play for. Lesson learned.

Hearts -1 should be a safe bet today. All our strikers are now fit and those given the nod will be desperate for goals to stay in the team. Zeefuik and Keatings should start the game with Sow coming on for the last 30 minutes. Falkirk are in good form but they conceded 3 recently to Hibs at Easter Road, I don’t think their defence is strong enough to keep out a free scoring Hearts side. This is the only home game at Tynecastle this month and I expect goals. Over 2.5 goals should also be considered.

Dundee have not kept 2 consecutive clean sheets in their last 100 top flight matches. Last time they managed it was in May 2004.
Kilmarnock have won 9 of their last 10 matches against Partick Thistle at Rugby .

Celtic are 11-1-1 in their last 13 games and most recently have won 3 in a row by a combined score of 8-0.
They have an excellent 7-1-2 away record on the season and it’s hard to see them dropping points against a Ross County side that’s winless in 8 and has a dreadful home record of 1-0-9 for the season.

Just a little heads up about the Port Vale v Crewe game as I’ve seen a lot mentioned about it on here, it’s a local derby for me and it’s as fiesty as you’d imagine a derby to be. This could go either way on the day which is obviously how most derby matches pan out, but if you’re looking for value Crewe are over 3/1 to win. They won 1-3 at Vale last season and they won at home 2-1, they’re looking for their third win a row against them.
Crewe have brought in two lads up top Uche and Ajose and they’re causing some problems for teams, hence the recent good form. The Alex could easily get a win today at the same time they could easily get beat, but if you’re willing to risk them the odds are brilliant.
Also if you’re gonna back them then it’d probably worth backing them BTTS and win as well, BTTS is all but certain in this fixture.

Looking at the FA Cup today and I have to agree with Mr F these games should be proceeded with caution. With the Cambridge v Man Utd game in mind I think any supposed favourites playing away from home especially, could have a tough time – and therefore the +1 or +2 alternative Asian handicap market is worth considering. The key game is Man City v Middlesbrough – city lost to Arsenal last weekend and have just come back from the Middle East after a friendly, they are also away to Chelsea next Saturday and will have that game at the back of their minds. Middlesbrough have been in great form recently and will be brimming with confidence and have only conceded 1 goal in their last 5 games. I don’t think they will be rolled over too easily today. In addition I also think today teams will set up defensively and games especially in the first half may not see many goals so I will also place the 5 fold acca below

And now the reasoning, mostly based on current form (last 5 games, home/win) and some other very interesting info I heard on the radio.
Hearts, well as we all know are looking great at the minute sitting top of the league and I can only see one winner in this game, hopefully by more than 1 goal so as to see a full win rather than just a return of stake should they only win by 1. Hearts @ home, last 5 games, won 4 drew 1, 10 goals for just 2 against.
Lommel, currently 2nd in the league against bottom side KV.Woluwe-Zaventem. Lommel’s last 5 @ home reads, won 3, drew 1, lost 1, 5 goals for but just 1 conceded. Maybe this doesn’t seem too great but take into account KV.Woluwe-Zaventem have now lost their last 5 away from home, scoring just 3 and conceding 12.
Real Betis, 2nd v 2nd bottom. Betis’ home record reads 4 wins, 1 defeat, 8 goals for, 3 against. Sabadell away from home, drew 1, lost 4, scored 4 let in 9.
The 3 above near enough explain themselves, the last part of the quad, Man City v Middlesbrough is the most interesting one.
I heard on the radio this that City will only be returning from Abu Dhabi early on Saturday morning around 7am, this is the same day as the game, barring no hold ups at the airport of course so there is still the real possibility that a delay could happen. The guys on the radio, including members of the public who regular fly that course, have all said that you get very little sleep if any on these flights and it’s 7 hours long. This surely must be taken into consideration went playing a game at 3pm the very same day. Plus Middlesbrough won’t be a push over, currently 2nd in the Championship and should give Man City a good run for their money in my opinion.

AFC Wimbledon can add new signing Craig Tanner to their squad when they host Accrington.

Today I’m trying the same having just been waiting on the team news.
AFC Wimbledon can add new signing Craig Tanner to their squad when they host Accrington.
Striker Tanner, 20, has moved to Kingsmeadow on loan from Reading until the end of the season.

Afternoon guys,
Looking at the FA Cup today and I have to agree with Mr F these games should be proceeded with caution. With the Cambridge v Man Utd game in mind I think any supposed favourites playing away from home especially, could have a tough time – and therefore the +1 or +2 alternative Asian handicap market is worth considering. The key game is Man City v Middlesbrough – city lost to Arsenal last weekend and have just come back from the Middle East after a friendly, they are also away to Chelsea next Saturday and will have that game at the back of their minds. Middlesbrough have been in great form recently and will be brimming with confidence and have only conceded 1 goal in their last 5 games. I don’t think they will be rolled over too easily today. In addition I also think today teams will set up defensively and games especially in the first half may not see many goals so I will also place the 5 fold acca below

Regarding Hearts I think this is exactly what was needed things were starting to get a bit flat and now they have tasted defeat they won’t want to taste it again sometimes a defeat can just refocus a club and push them to regroup and go in another run I predict a big hearts win in the next game as a backlash and this will push them to the title in my opinion

Rushed my bets today so kind of cursing myself for putting them on but to be fair when its a day where Bradford come back to beat Chelsea from 2-0 down, Boro go and beat Man City -1 and Watford bang seven goals in the second half having trailed 2-0 you know its a ridiculous day of football.
BTTS was the way to go and it pretty much summed up my day when the game I fancied in League Two (at very good odds) was the only one to finish 0-0. Only three teams drew a blank in the whole of the league and I picked two of them

Deontay Wilder holds 1 division and Wladimir Klitschko holds 4. The main contenders to challenge are Stiverne, Browne, Povetkin, Jennings and Fury in my opinion and all are too old mid to late 30’s or just overrated jokes. Of all the up and coming heavyweights Anthony Joshua is streets ahead of the rest and I am 100% sure he will be given a title fight in 2016. I have said this before about Klitschko, he will retire or lose his titles very soon and there is no way he and Wilder will meet as it is know ones interest for that to happen. Fury will be given either an eliminator or a title fight this year and a Fury v Joshua fight would be a complete sell out and even the USA would love to watch that happen which would set the winner up, Joshua, for a World Title fight. AJ is close to being ready and a 21 month timespan is perfect for this bet to land, get on it guys as it is an investment just like Wilder was.

You love your boxing dudes so tell me who would you sit up until 3 in the morning and pay good money to watch fight? Fury and Klitschko fights are free of charge on Channel 5! The adverts are more exciting. Only Wilder and Joshua have the potential to sell Heavyweight Boxing again dudes and the politics dictated Wilder would go the route of Stiverne to win a title and I am telling everybody now that AJ will also be guided to a World Title within 18 months as boxing needs him.
Raal-I asked you a question last weekend but I think you were off to spend time with the familia so you may not have seen it. I suggested that Joshua would go on to fight Price (this year) and then perhaps Fury beginning of next year. To be honest I think he could destroy both now but no need to get ahead of ourselves right?! I digress the question was a speculative one as to who would win between Wilder and Joshua should they meet? I think Joshua has the better combination punches and to be honest Wilder has chicken legs, not sure how he generates so much power. Joshua needs to clean up over here before that fight happens but as you say a record of 16 fights 16 KOs would see him ready for a title fight.

Capone31, depends on the stake – and I’m sure it’s a biggie.
Capone, I made a profit North of 5 figures in around 6 months about a year ago onwards, I then reinvested approx 60% of it on Wilder at 2/5 which paid out this month. If you are prepared to reinvest any decent winnings on something that you truly believe will land then it is better than risking it week by week elsewhere. All comes down to only using money that is not needed elsewhere mate.
But I will have that 6/4 tomorrow as well mate, just let me know it when you have it ;)
