Bondarenko couldn’t quite do it after winning the first set and going to 8/13 in running, she had chances to break serve in the 2nd & 3rd sets but didn’t take them
      Bondarenko lost 4-6 6-2 6-4
The double is still running though and NAP still to come

      Enjoyed my day at southwell.
Facilities better than I expected considering where it’s situated. Another course done.
Literally got off the train, paid my admission and saw Alan’s NAP fujin in crossing the line.
Didn’t get a sniff after only ew on Llewellyn, and only because it had a welsh name.

Managed to scav 2 free tickets for haydock on Saturday through my mates ruk membership.
Not seen jumps there, been to a few flat meets there, but jumps is what racing is all about, proper racing…..

Nice to see Hereford back after 4 years with no meets.

Hereford is set to reopen its doors to jump racing in October for the first time in nearly four years.
Controversially closed in December 2012, the Arena Racing-owned course has continued to stage point-to-point and Arab racing.
However, jumping under Rules will resume on October 6 with a card transferred from Worcester.
Further meetings will follow on October 31 (switched from Southwell), November 23 (Fontwell) and December 19 (Lingfield).
“They will be four fixtures there this year, starting on the October 6th. Obviously, it’s exciting news,” said Susannah Gill, director of external affairs.
“Hereford stage proper grass-roots National Hunt racing.”

Well seems to me with all the racing tomorrow its really hard to pick out fancies lot of them seem quite competitive could easily be 3 or 4 winners in most so should be a great day for fans

going small stakes tomorrow a point for me is usually £10 but im just going to do £1 trebles on 5 selections and a separate £1 treble in the evening at Wolverhampton.

    2:55 Kassis 3/1 NBB
    2:00 Boomerang bob 5/1
    1:50 edward elgar 5/1
    1:25 Muaitherr 15/8 NB
4:10 Boxing shadows 5/4 NAP £1 trebles with a total stake of £10 so 1 point would return £590 depending on winning trebles.

Wolverhampton treble. sorry i said i had placed a £1 treble it was infact a £2 treble in the evening treble. the reasoning for NAP,NB and NBB below is just to show in which order i prefer them and the bets in the daily trebles are my favorites

5:45 step on it 15/8 NAP
    6:45 exalted 9/4 NBB
    7:15 Bartok 4/6 NB

all the best for anyone following the week has been hit and miss im about break even but its been poor when put up against the last couple months still plenty time to turn the week around well done to all yesterdays winners and hopefully you all earn some more notes today all the best.

I agree Elvis, jumps racing is so much more exciting. It adds a whole other dimension to the race, and even when the horse you have backed is a long way behind the leader there is a chance.

Good morning racing fans have 3 for today I think I am on a Patent today:

6:15 Wolverhampton “Mariee” 11/10 bet365 shame about the skinny price but Johnston/Fanning combination looks a winner.
4:35 Wolverhampton “Summer Isles” 11/4 bet365 C&D winner last time and runner up has since won.

4:10 Lingfield “Boxing Shadows” 15/8 bet365 C&D winner last time under the same apprentice jockey.

    • Profile photo of linfieldaces
      linfieldaces 11 months ago

When did you get 15/8 for Boxing Shadows? Got on it hours ago @13/8 bet365 nap. Think this is this the best value all day. Took the horse last week purely because the jockey shares the same 2nd names the same as mine and was up afew quid for the day. Didn’t let me down at all. Escapes penalty aswell so got straight on it when I saw today’s card. Like the look of your pick MARIEE. Thinking of it in with alanm’s up and running pick Jess think it could be a nice 0.5pt dbl for an early and late interest. Good Luck

Cheers stevieg backed it by pure chance last week or boredom was 1pt stake and looked really good. For today he escaped penalty it was far to good not to take wouldn’t usually go 3pts on horses. But changing my system less horses bigger stake and do a shortlist as I didn’t do that before buts seems a good idea to narrow it down. Still a novice at this lol. I have Mariee at 11/10 in the dbl then Evs fingers crossed. Can go and make some dinner now👌

Not a bad day today. Aso wins and milrow was a tad disappointing.

Not much this evening but I’ll be laying:

    Dun 5.30 belrog
    Looks weak to me.

I’m not a fan of odds on but un de sceaux is just too good not to back. Got 10/11 earlier last week and I’ll back it again tomorrow. This horse wins or falls tomorrow or if it is beat then it’s beat by the best horse around in my opinion.

I’ll take a bit of the 6/4 for it’s Cheltenham race as well because after it “hopefully” wins tomorrow it will be cut big time.

This horse it undoubtedly one of the best the uk has right now.

Well done to all the winner, too many to mention but ew thief is for sure worth a shout out at 20/1.

    GL this evening

    • Profile photo of

on the bob i took the special bet on Skybet a couple of days ago for Un De Sceaux to win both races 9/4 its still there but 2/1 now same as PP were going IMO Un De Sceaux will hammer then tomorrow then be Odd’s on for Chelt

      • Profile photo of on the bob
on the bob 11 months ago

That’s a solid offer by skybet. Not got an account so didn’t see it.

There are not many horses I really enjoy watching but this one I do. Win or lose it gives you a great run and you know your back quality through and through.

Johnbs given me a head scratcher and id love to see the reasoning for his pick.

Un de sceaux just looks a class above anything in chasing apart from his liking of the odd fall.

Anyway. Belrog lost as expected and I’ve got a 2hr train journey ahead of me so I might try and find one more winner today.

GL and roll on 3pm tomorrow.

    Vibrato Valtat (NAP)

I can hear the outcry now, how can you Nap a horse who is running against Un De Sceaux or even Sire De Grugy

I am going to start with Un De Sceaux and jump straight in and say Who has he beat?
Yes he won the Arkle last year and won convincingly , but it was a pretty poor Arkle, some people will say Vibrato Valtat was in the Arkle and got beat 13 lengths but I will give my reasons.

Sire De Grugy he isn’t the horse he was and everyone on here knows I think Special Tiara would have beaten him in the Tingle Creek
Vibrato Valtat was in that race as well and he was the favourite.
I tipped Special Tiara at 16/1 because like this race on Saturday, the better horses don’t always win
I like to run the race through in my mind, looking at how it could be run, working out each horse for the course, the conditions and the most likely race scenario.
Sire De Grugy still has some ability but a lot of questions have been asked so far this season with some hard races.

Now Vibrato Valtat, well I will start straight away and say I know he isn’t the best horse here but I strongly believe he will win,
Jockey Noel Fehily has never lost on him, 2 out of 2
He also has a good record at Ascot with 10 winners from 47 rides over the last 3 years but he has also had 18 placed

My belief is Ascot will suit Vibrato Valtat being a stiff course, the conditions will be ideal for him and I like the attitude of this horse.

I expect like everyone else that Un De Sceaux will go off in front, I am then thinking Sire De Grugy & Traffic Fluide will be contesting for 2nd and 3rd with Vibrato Valtat & Simply Ned at the back.
Even with the conditions and stiff track I am looking at Un De Sceaux making this a good pace, at halfway Sire De Grugy to start pressing Un De Sceaux with Traffic Fluide being passed by Vibrato Valtat & Simply Ned,
Simply Ned to be the next under pressure with Vibrato Valtat in 3rd
I want a good battle upfront between Un De Sceaux & Sire De Grugy as I think they will cut each other’s throats and leave Vibrato Valtat to pick up the pieces as Sire De Grugy tires along with Un De Sceaux who’s jumping starts to let him down.

I make it sound so easy

    • Profile photo of double carpet
      double carpet 11 months ago

      Sorry johnb
But I have to disagree with you again. The only thing imo that can prevent UN DE SCEAUX from winning is what’s in front of him and not behind. He is the best horse by a street in the race and to overturn a 13L beating at any track is too much to ask but as always I wish you the best of luck
