THE Australian Open is under way and with the likes of Andy Murray and Rafa Nadal having played their first-round matches through the night it's Roger Federer on court on Monday morning.

The Swiss should have little trouble disposing of Yen-Hsun Lu and it's a similar story for defending champ Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka who both begin their campaigns tonight.

Of the British hopefuls, James Ward is 4-1 with Skybet to pull off an upset against Fernando Verdasco (2-9, Coral) tonight and qualifier Kyle Edmund is 29-10 with Boylesports against America's Steve Johnson, who is 3-10 with Stan James.

In the women's matches the likes of Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki are in action and Britain's Heather Watson – on a high after  her title success in Hobart – is evens with Paddy Power in her battle with Tsvetana Pironkova (10-11, Stan James).

There's also international ODI cricket in the early hours with England – who lost their Tri-Series opener to Australia – the 13-10 underdogs with Sporting Bet against India (4-6, Titanbet).

Both main bets landing on the day with the NFL Double and UFC Treble. Good job there was no fuss and they all flew in (har har) Seattle.

    **Posted Yesterday**

    **LOST** – Raptors -7.0 @ $1.92
    **WON** – OKC -9.0 @ $1.92
    **WON** – Spurs -11.0 @ $1.92

Luckily I couldn’t get my bet on the Raptors as my bookie suspended all markets after team news revealed Pelicans were missing their star players. Worked out great as Raptors slide continued after another loss.

OKC easily took care if the Magic, and Spurs accounted for Jazz accordingly.

I also advised along with Huggy to tie Spurs -12.5 & Under 194.5 in a double at $3.50 which WON.

Easy pickings on the 3-0 Murray/ Federer pick Mr F. Only just seen your post now, but well done. A sign of things to come this fortnight!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Ad, thanks. Woke up to a nice boost to the account but then check the scores and saw Murray need a tiebreak in the third so bit of a sweat. I thought 1-2 was fairly generous. Next up it’s 3-0 Joker but best I can see is 1-5 so will need something to double it with.

  6. Attila 9 years ago

Except John B’s Tennis NAP which I decided to follow. A 5 set nailbiter, but now I’m $50 poorer :-( Ah well, that really is the last time i bet on Tennis, ita tye money pit of sports betting…

    • Ad 9 years ago

The money pit of sports betting?! Not even close mate!

I wouldn’t have touched the Struff v Sela match personally, but had I done I would have covered myself when Struff went 2-1 up.

Johns nb, Kokkinakis, who I also tipped a few days ago, is still alive and kicking for now. If he wins it will have been an okay day for John on the tennis. If he loses it will have been a disappointing one, but I’m not sure two 5 set defeats from one tipster on one betting thread makes tennis betting a money pit!

Just gotta pick the right matches ;)

    LOVELY START TO THE DAY
GL and thanks for having the thread or I wouldn’t have bothered guys :)

Great day yesterday. Several winners across several sports.

150 GBP on Karlovic, Groth, Pliskova, Robredo, Melzer and Matosevic returned a nice 680 GBP when I woke this morning was probably the highlight.

Had a -1.5 Sets 4 fold which Kukushkin has let down after Groth, Karlovic and Klizan all won comfortably.

Just got on Kukushkin and Kyrigos as a double in play.

Also backing Judd Trump to beat both Ali Carter and Mark Davis in the snooker this afternoon. Pays just over evens.

  9. Sam 9 years ago

And the Kukushkin/Kyrigos double is down already.

Over to Judd Trump for a bit of interest this afternoon and on to finding some picks for tonights tennis :)!

  10. Sam 9 years ago

Last in-play for now, Kyrigos to win 3-1. Just over evens.

  11. Ad 9 years ago

Sam – Some nice picks there, well done. Groth looked like one of the best bets across the board.
Robredo retired after a couple of games so I guess that leg was voided?

Kukushin had warning flags all over him though having played 8 matches in 8 days. Jaziri was getting well backed and it was only laziness on my part that stopped me from backing him!

  12. realwalker 9 years ago

Just got in to find Kukushkin my only loser on 4 13 timers, damn the night shift, had a few 12/5s mixed in with shorter prices, wouldve paid for my next 2 holidays.
im going to start following you guys with hard cash from now on, keep up the good work.

  13. Sam 9 years ago

    Thanks, Ad!

I’ll be honest mate, I haven’t checked all the results, I just saw the increase in my account balance haha. Having just checked the slip you are right, Robredo was void.

The fatigue issue for Kukushkin had crossed my mind but I thought his quality might see him through but it wasn’t to be!

Any selections caught your eye yet for tonight Ad?

    • Ad 9 years ago

It’s always a really tricky one, trying to balance fatigue against form and momentum. I will post something on tonight’s matches in a bit mate. The fourfold I posted last night is waiting on Strycova and Johnson after Bolelli and Groth won so those two are obviously in my thoughts. But i’ll be back with some more later.

  14. Ad 9 years ago

Bit of a wild one here but I think the odds are too good to turn down, and having missed the 4/1 on her to beat Riske I’m going to make sure I take a chance on Dodin this time.

Dodin to beat Pliskova @ 8/1 with Paddy Power
(stake refunded as free bet if she wins the first set and goes on to lose the match)

Just 18 but blessed with a huge game, and with a very aggressive style. I’ve watched her play a few games and when it all clicks she can hit just about anyone off court.

Pliskova is of course a big hitter herself, and possesses one of the best serves in women’s tennis. On the face of it, given the discrepancy in rankings and experience, its not a matchup that favours Dodin. But there are a couple of factors that could make this closer than the bookies think.

One, I don’t think they know an awful lot about Dodin or how dangerous she is when she’s playing well. Two, her three set win in Round 1 here was her first match of the season. She only served at 48% and hit 11 double faults, understandable considering she wont have been match sharp. But she still managed to beat a very good and sharper opponent in Alison Riske. She hit 7 aces to those 11 doubles, and if she can up her serving percentages and cut down the double faults, as she is likely to with a match under her belt, she can definitely pose Pliskova some problems. Three, Pliskova has played a lot of tennis over the last 10 days, and while that might mean she is very sharp, it might also mean there is a little bit of fatigue. Pliskova can go a little flat sometimes, and @ 8/1 I’m happy to waste a few pounds on the underdog springing another shock.

n.b. don’t let the length of this write up trick you into thinking Dodin is going to win this match. She probably isn’t, as 8/1 suggests.

  15. Ad 9 years ago

Kokkinakis wins! Amazing atmosphere and a huge moment for him. More importantly though, a 17/10 winner for me!

  16. johnb 9 years ago

After day one of my Tennis Tips NAP got beat but my NB won at 6/4
So level stakes sees a 0.5 point profit after one day

  17. Sam 9 years ago

Kyrigos loses the fourth set tie breaker, so that bets a loss.

Day 1 ends with big profit, hoping for more of the same tonight!

  18. Attila 9 years ago

Ad – not just the one game I’m talking about. Everytime I touch Tennis it loses. Have only followed Tennis tips from here but she I do I always seem to get on the losers.. Think its a sign that I should stick to NBA for now :-)

  19. Jack 9 years ago

So, I’ve been watching the handball recently and I see Belarus vs Brazil is on today which I shall be watching.

I’m by no means an expert, I’ve seen maybe 20 games, including 2 each for these sides, But after some research to add to this, for interest I shall be going for Belarus @ 4/5

  20. johnb 9 years ago

0.5 point profit after monday & here are Tuesdays tennis tips

    Australian Open

    Womens first round

Taylor Townsend v Caroline Wozniacki 2am
TOWNSEND +1.5 Sets 15/8 NB boylesports

    Mens first round

Elias Ymer v Go Soeda 3:30am
YMER to win 11/10 NAP boylesports

  21. Ad 9 years ago

That’s always the way isn’t it! I guess stick to what you know is generally the best thing to do with betting. It’s why I place very low NFL/ NBA bets and only go small stakes when I do.

Hopefully all I’ll post is a whole host of winners this week so it won’t matter which ones you are on!

  22. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Anyone have any thoughts on the ymer soeda match

  23. Brian tennis 9 years ago

Well I guess that answers my question. Didn’t see that ymer was johnb’s nap

  24. jimba 9 years ago

Any nba tips for later people?

  25. Ad 9 years ago

Well done on Kokkinakis John. And Ymer looks a good pick too. I’m on him small stakes.

    Tonight:

    Gojowkyzk d Garcia Lopez @ 5/6
    Gonzales d Fognini @ 11/4
    Bacsinszky d Jankovic @ 11/13 (first tipped @ 11/10)
    Krunic d Davis @ 6/5
    Petkovic d Brengle @ 8/13
    Vandewwghe/Strycova/Johnson treble @ 2.2

First rounds can be tricky things so keep it sensible and leave alone anything you’re not sure about. And go with your gut if you fancy an upset!

  26. Sam 9 years ago

Trump beats Carter 3-2 to bring in the first half of the double.

  27. Sam 9 years ago

Just placed my bets for this evening:

    Azarenka
    Kanepi
    Keys
    1.52/1

    Nishikori 3-0
    Isner 3-0
    Ferrer 3-0
    4.8/1

    Bit of fun:
    Johnson
    Verdasco
    Isner
    Dodig
    Simon
    Zheng
    Stosur
    Zahlavova-Strycova
    Azarenka
    Kanepi
    Petkovic
    Keys
    23/1

Will also look at bits and pieces in play.

    • Ad 9 years ago

Looks decent Sam. Good luck. Id like to put Stosur in my accas but I just can’t bring myself to do it!

  28. Jack 9 years ago

Well it’s surprising Belarus are only 11-13 down, seeing as they’ve had 8 minutes worth of suspensions to Brazil’s 0 in the opening 24 minutes. They need to pick it up though.

  29. Attila 9 years ago

    In NBA today, I’m liking:

    Bucks +1.0 (SS?), Warriors -14.0, Wizards/76ers Under 192.5 & Suns -11.5.

Not sure how to attack the day yet with so many games. Love to see what HUGGYBEAR is thinking!

  30. Ad 9 years ago

Been waiting for these prices and I’m happy with them.

    Roud 2:

    Karlovic d Kyrgios @8/11
    Groth d Kokkinakis @ 5/6

Singles and double. Upping my stakes for these as we’re out of the first round woods and I like these picks. Obviosly only do the same if you are confident.

  31. Hudmystar 9 years ago

Can’t belive Seahawks went and won. The illness disrupted my thought process and cashed out lost out on a small fortune wish John b had posted he’s tip a bit earlier I might have had the balls to leave it (not blaming you John) just mad I couldn’t think straight.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Hudmystar, what you had to remember mate, although the Seahawks were down 16-0 at the half, realistically they were still only two possessions down (2 TD’s with 2 point conversions) almost the same as a 2-0 score line at half time in a football game. I had lost faith due to the turnovers in the first half but would never cash out for a loss mate.

  32. Ad 9 years ago

P.s I expect those odds to shorten. Early bird catches the worm and all that

  33. Sam 9 years ago

Trump beats Davis to bring in the 1.2/1 double.

I’m on a Bingham and Fu double for the next 2 matches.

  34. Ad 9 years ago

    Small stakes Karlovic 3-0 @ 4/1

  35. cooldude 9 years ago

Ad, what do you know about the 18 yr old Aussie Kokkinakis??

    • Ad 9 years ago

He is very talented cooldude, with a big serve and big baseline game. He fought incredibly hard today and did superbly to hang on in there and edge past Gulbis. After toppling the 11th seed I’m sure a lot of people are expecting him to go on and beat world numner 85 Sam Groth. But I think the youngster will have a big comedown from today’s win. The emotional energy on display today was was incredible. The atmosphere was insane and the crowd was unrelenting in their support of their man. It’s going to all be a little different in the next round though.

Groth is an Aussie too so he will lose the massive home advantage he had against Gulbis. Groth also has a ludicrously good serve, and Kokkinakkis isnt a sufficiently good returner yet to be able to deal with it. He won’t have often faced anyone with a delivery quite like it. Gulbis hit a massive 29 aces against Kokkinakis, and while Gulbis is a very good server himself, you have to think Groth will do him even more damage in that regard. Gulbis hit a ridiculous 18 double faults to go with those aces! Groth hit 24 aces today to just 4 double faults and won 84% of points behind his first serve. Kokkinakis served well too, but hit 11 doubles to his 15 aces, winning 70 % of first serve points.

At 5/6 I can’t see past a Groth win here.

      Fascinating insight Ad.

  36. huggybear 9 years ago

huggybear is thinking , why does the phone always ring when your in bed off nights yet when your`e off nothing !!

attila stick to sports your good at , throwing money at random tennis bets.

Jimba will have a good look teatime for tonights single , doing ok with 9 super singles from 11.

Just hope their are some quiet followers having a slice , b4 my luck dries up.

just had a quick glance , there is a pile of fancies , my shortlist is backing sides to cover large spreads which i dont like doing. in brief again guys

    ptb – 8
    pelicans -8 ( crappy knicks )
    rockets – 10 ( bloody pacers )
    suns – 11 lakers
    gsw – 14 nuggets
    clippers -12
    atlanta -8 ( hawks smoking )
    wizards -14 ( 76`s )

so all large covers , leading the thoughts are pelicans if davis returns as we all know how bad the knicks are as they throw games to get the first draft.
and other contender is gsw as they are on fire despite losing recently.

houston – 10 against those high scoring pacers looks a great shout ( 71 last night with overtime with hibbert and west playing )

FEW THOUGHTS FOR US GUYS , PICK MY BEST SHOUT LATER !!!

good luck if your`e up betting now

    WE NEEDS 10 / 12 SUPER SINGLES !!!

  37. huggybear 9 years ago

    P.S LAST NIGHTS CALL

attila gonna call all 3 for you ok…

    thunder -9 SUPER SINGLE !!!!!

    spurs -11 and u 196

raptors -5 (probably no spread available yet)

THUNDER WILL BY ABOUT A MILLION !!!

SPURS COVER AND FALL WELL SHORT OF THE 196 !!

and those raptor herberts were 12 up with 6.39 on the clock , AND LOST !!

So i nearly called them all … good attempt though …

  38. Ad 9 years ago

Groth @ 5/6 is my Wednesday NAP

  39. Iddy 9 years ago

Cooldude – it’ll be his first full year on tour. I think he lost to Kyrgios here last year in junior final.
He’s 6’5 so big serve and forehand. Movement isn’t great at the moment but he does try and get to the net. Slightly behind Kyrgios in his development but Aussies expecting big things from him.

  40. Iddy 9 years ago

Ad – had an ok day on open today. I placed 2 bets one was a ‘safe’ 5-fold at 4-1 which won and a bonkers bet 10- fold which would have won £2700. The first 8 won but last 2 let me down. Last 2 were Beck and Jovanovski. Didn’t have a chance to cover/ cash out due to timings though.

  41. Ad 9 years ago

ahhhh unlucky there mate. Beck losing was a bit of a shock. Though not compared to some of the other results. Bonkers stuff. Jovanoski I thought had a chance but was always gna be a bit of a risky one. Ive got a few bonkers ones on tonight. Hopefully we all wake up rich!

  42. Iddy 9 years ago

Ad -,I placed my daily bonkers bet for day 2 earlier and u r going against a few of my picks so that isn’t a good sign for me haha. Bonkers bet for tomorrow is
    1 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez v Peter Gojowczyk – Match Betting Guillermo Garcia-Lopez @ 5/6
2 Standard Santiago Giraldo v Jan Hernych – Match Betting Santiago Giraldo @ 8/11
    3 Standard Laurent Lokoli v Andreas Haider-Maurer – Match Betting Laurent Lokoli @ 5/4
4 Standard Marcel Granollers v Stephane Robert – Match Betting Marcel Granollers @ 4/6 –
5 Standard Go Soeda v Elias Ymer – Match Betting Elias Ymer @ EVS –
6 Standard Daniela Hantuchova v Saisai Zheng – Match Betting Saisai Zheng @ 11/10
7 Standard Madison Brengle v Andrea Petkovic – Match Betting Andrea Petkovic @ 4/7 –
8 Standard Vera Zvonareva v Ons Jabeur – Match Betting Vera Zvonareva @ 4/6 –
9 Standard Serena Williams v Alison Van Uytvanck – Match Betting Serena Williams @ 1/33 –
10 Standard Timea Bacsinszky v Jelena Jankovic – Match Betting Jelena Jankovic @ 5/6 –
Pays around 250-1 and I have it as a 8/9/10 fold – small stakes!!!!!!

    • Ad 9 years ago

Ah well, we can’t agree on everything Id! Not sure about Granollers either, but we shall see. Bonkers bets aren’t expected to win!

@Huggybear. Out of interest Huggy what is your strike rate on SS ?

    • huggybear 9 years ago

martin honestly unsure , but their are records in previous posts but pushed i would say from the last 50 i`d say 40-42 ish , i`m sure others would confirm or deny these figures but not far off , too be honest i remember losses more than wins.
i should have kept a record , if i could find just my posts somehow i would have looked back but trawling through mountains of comments is no fun.

but i know i do ok at picking a daily super single .

A couple of extra bets for the Aus Open.

    Mens 3rd quarter winner:

I’ll preface this by saying that if Rafa’s okay and plays his way back to near his best he could well waltz his way to Federer without dropping a set. But….

    Tomic @ 12/1
    Groth @ 100/1 (*cough)

Tomic now has to beat Kohlschreiber (who he beat last week), Berdych/Troicki and then probably Nadal to claim this quarter. Rafa still lacks match sharpness so it’s certainly not impossible he could stumble, and I think it’s worth a shot @ 12/1. Berdych may well beat Tomic if they meet, but he’s Rafa’s whipping boy and 9/4 is a horrible price.

Groth is clearly just me getting carried away but I’ll happily lose a pound risking a huge server to run deep in a winnable quarter. Tomic was ousted in two tiebreaks by big serving Muller last week and Berdych isn’t a top class returner of serve either. A wobble or a retirement from Rafa is all that’s needed to blow this open so why not?!

    Good luck ( you’ll need it ;) )

    Cycling: Tour Down Under 2015

The best of modern cycling is that the season only stops for 2 months and runs from January till October nowadays. The first World Tour race starts tomorrow/tonight in Australia. The peloton will race 6 days in and around Adelaide and the race will have some sprint stages and uphill finishes in it.

    Stage 1

The first stage will be a peloton sprint without a doubt. The best sprinter in the world Marcel Kittel is the big favourite at the bookies for this one, but in the last 2 years his best performance in any of the TDU stages was a 6th place in 2013. Last year his best finish was a 72nd place! He already said in an interview the TDU is a nice race to get his first race kilometers and said the heat is his biggest enemy. Avoid him for stage 1.

For most guys this is the first race of the season, so we have to see how they will come out of the winter break. There was a warm-up race on Sunday and I watched the sprint a couple of times and will be on below bets.

    Match-up double, winner in capitals:

HEINRICH HAUSSLER v Steel Von Hoff
    SAMUEL DUMOULIN v Lorenzo Manzin
Double @ 2.20 with William Hill

Haussler became Australian champion and this is the first time he can show his jersey to the crowd. He also finished in front of Von Hoff in Sunday’s race.

Manzin is a first year pro and this is his first pro race. I think he will have problems with the average speed in this race as all teams want to eliminate Kittel in this stage. Dumoulin is a very fast finisher and was one of the fastest in Sunday’s race.

    Small stake outright winner:
    CHRIS SUTTON EW @ 51.00 with bet365

Sutton was very fast in the last meters of Sunday’s sprint (4th place) and can see him on the podium with better timing of his sprint.

  53. Ad 9 years ago

Federer to reach the final @ 9/4 or E/W @ 6/1 is also a decent sounding shout. Should be fine till the semis and i’d back him and his attacking tennis against a below his best Rafa if indeed Rafa makes it that far.

  54. Baldy45 9 years ago

Ad, what do you think of this fourfold ?

    Hewitt
    Raonic
    Nishikori
    F.Lopez

    Just under evens.

    • Ad 9 years ago

baldy- i personally don’t want to touch Hewitt or Lopez because they don’t have a win in 2015 yet between them, and Hewitt is declining fairly steadily.

I would consider Zahlavova Strycova @ 3/10 and Vandeweghe @ 2/5 as safeish looking picks from tonights matches. If you think the women’s games a little too risky though (and who could blame you!?) then Muller looks a pretty decent shout to beat clay courter Carreno Busta @ 1/2.

Going even safer (hopefully) Isner @ 1/5 to beat Wang and Steve Johnson to beat Edmund @ 3/10 look solid.

    • Ad 9 years ago

Nishikori and Raonic should stroll home.

  63. cooldude 9 years ago

Ad if i was to watch one match from the tennis today which should it be?

  64. Baldy45 9 years ago

Cheers Ad, I’ll take out Lopez but I’m keeping Hewitt. I know he’s declining but unless he’s injured or totally unfit he should beat Zheng, he’s a challenger player and accoring to the ATP stats he’s never improved from that level.
I’ve also got a heavy single on Raonic so I’m pleased to read your comments there.

  65. ross 9 years ago

Cheers bud. Fun bet it is. Go hawks

    • huggybear 9 years ago

There u go Ross … enjoy ? Great side Hawks . On fire ATM.

  68. jimba 9 years ago

Huggy, on your ss, good luck everyone tonight!!

  69. Jordan 9 years ago

Small stakes on this but going for Ty Lawson (Nuggets) over 17.5 points @ 5/7 @ 365

  70. cooldude 9 years ago

Ad not particularly a tennis fan but the Australian open always gets my attention. would this be one of the biggest tournaments on the calender after Wimbledon?

    • Ad 9 years ago

It’s hard to really rank the grand slams. Wimbledon does seem to have a unique prestige to it, due to its unique surface and its quaint English charms! The four of them are, on the face of it, as important as the others. They are a decent margin ahead of the Masters 1000 series tournaments which are the second most prestigious level of tournament. I think Wimbledon would win a player vote as to the Grand Slam they valued the most.

Mint in an ideal world Id like a Heather Watson Laura Robson final :) I do hope Watson wins but what price is she?

  75. johnb 9 years ago

More profit after the footy 2 bets 1 winner at 6/4 just in time for two winning tips at the tennis :)

    • Ad 9 years ago

Not really seeing Townsend getting a set but good luck John. You never know. If Woz’s wrist is a bit iffy Taylor has the power to hurt her.

  76. mint 9 years ago

    Cooldude

Skybet 10/11 but am thinking about backing pironkiva.
Thinking maybe watsons put to much into her win last week?

  77. Furthermore 9 years ago

These last 3 days has been amazing. My bankroll is tripled. And i have decided to go level up and try a doubles system.

So ill be taking nba or nhl doubles or mix n match @ odds 3.64 and a bit up for a profit of 100

    staking plan.

    Bet1: 37.88 to win 137.88
    Bet2: 52.23 to win 190.12
    Bet3: 72.02 to win 262.15
    Bet4: 99.30 to win 361.45
    Bet5: 136.91 to win 498.35
    Bet6: 188.77 to win 687.12
    Bet7: 260.27 to win 947.38

So basically if bet1 losses i am moving on to bet2 and so on till i hit a winner. And as soons as i hit a winner i will start from bet1 again.

    so here we go:

    Bet1:
    Houston Rockets -10
    Sharks v Devils o5

  78. Ad 9 years ago

If you were going to watch one match I think the ones that look to have the most potential for excitement are:

    Wozniaki v Taylor Townsend
    Stephens v Azarenka

The men’s games not really throwing anything too exciting up. Nishikori v Almagro should have some great tennis on display, and Monfils plays at around 10am tomorrow. He’s always guaranteed entertainment. Unless he retires!

  79. huggybear 9 years ago

Brave furthermore… good luck mate . Hoping u start well as I see houston by 10 my SS coming in

  80. Lee 9 years ago

    Pelicans -4.5 5/6

FURTHERMORE I SEE WHERE YOURE GOING BUT CAN BE DANGEROUS.

    I TIPPED HOUSTON -10 ASWELL

    GOOD LUCK

    • Furthermore 9 years ago

Gotti I know It is dangerous. But like I said I trippled my bankroll so I’m will not be sad at all of I’ll go 0-7, and to be honest I don’t think I will go 0-7 hehe

  84. Ad 9 years ago

    Final bet from me today:

The following players to all win their quarters:
    Kvitova
    Halep
    Federer
    Sharapova

Pays 13/1 with Boyle sports, possibly more elsewhere

  85. cooldude 9 years ago

Ad on a scale of 1-10 how confident would you be?

    • Ad 9 years ago

Of those four all winning their quarters? Individually quite confident. Halep 9, Federer 8.5, Sharapova 8.5, Kvitova 7. But once you put them together it becomes much less likely. Kvitova is he biggest risk so I will also do a treble on the others

  86. Sam 9 years ago

    To win the first set:

    Fognini
    Johnson
    1.02/1

    Fognini
    Johnson
    Verdasco
    Isner
    3.4/1

  87. paul 9 years ago

Bit of a trend for low scoring so im on hueston under 103.5 at 10/11

Hueston should cover -10 but prob win
    98-84

  88. Ad 9 years ago

You’re a brave man to back Fabio to take the first set Sam! Id say that in any match he played in

  89. cooldude 9 years ago

Any golf fans out there fancy Sergio Garcia in the Qatar Masters?? Garcia’s gone to long without a victory for a golfer of his quality. Perhaps his confidence has taken a battering??

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

cooldude, Ace is a big Sergio fan – and his tips will be up later in the week.

  90. ross 9 years ago

You say brave Ad, I’m thinking maybe stupid? Haha we shall see! I know where exactly you’re coming from. Fingers crossed he’s got his head on.

Just a bit of fun to keep me interested in the early games:)!

    All the best tonight!

    • Ad 9 years ago

I was being polite! Good luck mate, I’m hitting the hay now as I’ve a match of my own in the morning, but hopefully rise to some dollar signs tomorrow.

  94. Jordan 9 years ago

Don’t want to give it all back but Derrick Rose over 5.5 assists @ 10/11 @ WillHill

  95. Jordan 9 years ago

Plays for Chicago Bulls if anybody doesn’t know who Derrick Rose is.

  96. Vic 9 years ago

    Mint – lol :)

  97. Attila 9 years ago

Jordan, what’s Rose’s avg assists per game this season?

  99. Attila 9 years ago

    LATE NBA GAME PLAN:

    – Bucks ML @ $1.81 (5 pts)

    – TRIXIE of Bucks ML, Suns -10.5, Portland -9.0 @ $4.33 (2.5 pts)

Am currently on Huggies’ NAP of Houston -10.0 with 10 pts thats looking good atm.

If you want to take the Trixie as a TREBLE the odds are $7.50.

    GL!

  100. Attila 9 years ago

OR, alternatively, a bit safer Treble is:

    – Bucks +4.5
    – Suns -5.5
    – Portland -4.5

    Treble pays $2.50 neat.

  101. Attila 9 years ago

Good to see the Knicks are looking good to record their 1st win in about 15 games. Not great for Pelicans morale if they do get beat by the lowly knicks tho!

  102. AndytheHun 9 years ago

    Evening gents!

Lesia Tsurenko-Madison Keys set bet 0:2..for 2.1..looks tempting..

  103. Kev 9 years ago

Going for Kyle Edmund to win first set ad 3/1 and gonna enjoy watching :)

  104. the wet lettuce 9 years ago

Houston do not do this to us.

  105. Jordan 9 years ago

Something like 5.2 I think mate. It was set at 4.5 when I was looking at Lawson’s points. Cavs give the most assists to opposing teams and Derrick Rose is Derrick Rose.

  106. Jordan 9 years ago

Harden putting up big numbers tonight! On 38 points at the moment!

  107. PeteT 9 years ago

Attila – was the -9.5 handicap ever in doubt? ;o)

Must admit I couldn’t believe how many points they were ahead and how tight the handicap was in the end. Crazy – 3 amazing quarters but Houston lost the plot in Q4.

    Still another win :o)

  108. Kev 9 years ago

Thanks again huggy ;) squeaky bum time at the end there

  109. Attila 9 years ago

COME ON HOUSTON! Up by 23 in the 4th, let Pacers back to be leading by only 9 now. Handicap is 10. God I wish I had cash out in Australia!

  110. Attila 9 years ago

Yes! Houston Rockets win by 12 with a 3 pointer in the last few seconds. Phew, that was close.

Another SS winner for Huggybear :-)

  111. the wet lettuce 9 years ago

Huggy Bear your ace man another SS.

    I won nice…never in doubt..phew lol

  112. Ivx1 9 years ago

I’m sceptical if Bucks can beat raptors when raptors have won the last 3 games between the 2 home and and away.

  113. sah1991 9 years ago

@huggybear Just want to say that even though I don’t put my own tips on the site because like you, I hate posting losers especially if I know people are doing the same, but just want to say that I always look out for your SS and thoughts for the NBA games. And your strike rate is really impressive mate.

Congrats on those that were on :)

  114. Jordan 9 years ago

    Good stuff Huggy!

  115. Attila 9 years ago

IVX1 – Raptors are in shocking form and are struggling. Whilst the Bucks under Jason Kidd are a young team on the rise & great at home. Bucks win.

  116. Sam 9 years ago

    Good start to the night.

    To win the first set:
    Fognini
    Johnson
    1.02/1 – WON

  117. paul 9 years ago

Jeez that was close huggy super single

Small bet on rockets under 103.5 lost

Find that in basketball when team reaches bookies predicted score they slow. Sure rockets won it in 3q so prob went to sleep in last

    • huggybear 9 years ago

Trouble with nba is points mean nowt…playoffs are decided by win percentage.

So like u said they coast home…

      Its all good though tonight..

honestly I’m more bothered by other guys losing money than I am myself and I’m a poor postman…

      hope this luck holds out….

  118. huggybear 9 years ago

Cheers guys . Did they really need to put us through that. Glad a few were on !!

Yes I hate the pressure knowing people will follow or use my thoughts , but we all
know me and the other top tippers , like attila ( look at his fourfold at the start of the spread ) and jordan knows his american sports.

im on a double of bucks and cavs , purely to pass the night …

SUPER SINGLE IN THE BAG , THAT 10 FROM 12…..

    WELL DONE GUYS….

  119. Bluemooner1894 9 years ago

Hi Huggybear missed ur ss again at work on the nites …
wat time u usually put it up at mate?
    Cheers.
(Same Question to Furthermore) thanks again ♡

    • huggybear 9 years ago

Depends when I in work ( fixed nights) I post about teatime

when im off usually midday , gotta be careful team news is MASSIVE , think the pelicans lost or struggled against nba worst side and thats because anthony davis sat it out.

But read my post earlier , I’ll try and warn about various doubts..

Just say at the moment im on a good run . Just hope it continues

  120. the wet lettuce 9 years ago

Dont be bothered about us Huggybear..ifwe want to follow its on us.

Your tips are fantastic and winning quite a few of us some decent profit.

Thanks again..and GL with your next SS.

I am sure your SS are in the 95% + range.

    • huggybear 9 years ago

Mate is scares me . Mr f would love this strike rate . Just keeping to level stakes and seeing how much we can all make.

its all good fun screaming at your phone as rockets try and blow a huge lead

  121. the wet lettuce 9 years ago

I dont think i blinked for 4 minutes staring at phone ha…good call in the end tho..well done.

  122. recoba1980 9 years ago

    Nice one Huggy ;)
Took your NAP with 4 others which are in bar 1 paying just under 11/1…waiting on PH Suns-8 2/3 for £115 back.
Cash out is £58 and its now 8.5 thats 2/3? -8 is 51/80 if remember right, crazy American odds
    ADVICE ANYONE?

  123. recoba1980 9 years ago

I’ll sleep on it an set my alarm but personally I think its pretty safe with the spread 10-5 at 10/11.

    • huggybear 9 years ago

Well done you … nice little earner

  124. Attila 9 years ago

Raptors have been dropping off in the 2nd half lately…hope that trend continues today!

  125. Attila 9 years ago

And yeah Huggy, cheers, 2 from 2 so far from my 4 tips mentioned at start of thread…Bucks & Suns still pending.
Unfortunately I didn’t get on those 2 winners as I was busy with the kids this morning and missed the starts, haha, hate missing my own tips, LOL

  126. Attila 9 years ago

Bucks down by 6 end of 3rd. Just need em to win this quarter by 2 to keep my safe treble alive. Hoping they cone out roaring

  127. Attila 9 years ago

And here come the mighty Bucks!! Tied it up now!

  128. Mr. Orange 9 years ago

The break away just made it to the end in front of a sprinting peloton.

  129. Attila 9 years ago

Nooooooooo! A missed Portland free throw in the final second cost me $100 returns on my safer Treble! Needed -4.5, they won by 4. Gut wrenching stuff…
