I WENT with a stats-packed Super Single on Sunday and it came up trumps. Anderlecht had beaten Lierse by more than two goals in five of their last seven meetings – the other were 2-0 – so I was pleased to see a 3-0 scoreline.
Anderlecht -2 paid 7-5 and while on this occasion cover wasn't required I gave up £2 of my winnings to back 10-man Lierse at 25-1 to score next with about seven minutes to go.
Apologies for not putting points ratings on the top tips on Sunday but when not stated it's the usual 5pts Super Single, 2.5pts Top Treble and 1pt any other bet. Regulars will know that and it's been a while since a Super Single wasn't a five-pointer.
The Top Treble also won at 3-1 thanks to Sevilla, Marseille and Barcelona -1 but the goal treble fell at the first hurdle with Lazio failing to score at home to Napoli.
Overall it was a great day for punters with short-priced favourites such as Barca, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, Juventus, PSG, Benfica and Sporting all winning by at least two goals.
For today's Super Single I'm paying my first visit to the Africa Cup of Nations and I'm putting this selection up now in case the price drops below evens – and at the moment William Hill are the only firm to even offer evens.
The side I'm talking about are Algeria who are one of the favourites for the tournament as they launch their campaign against South Africa in Group C.
It's regarded as the toughest section with Ghana and Senegal facing off in the other opener so Algeria will be targeting a win against the weakest team in the group.
We all watched Algeria impress in the World Cup, going out to Germany in the last 16 after taking them to extra time. Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia), Yacine Brahimi (Porto), El Arbi Hillel Soudani (Zagreb), Islam Slimani (Sporting) and Saphir Taider (Sassuolo) are all class acts but they are missing the injured Essaïd Belkalem (Trabzonspor).
Algeria won the first five games in qualifying before losing to Mali having already progressed so they have maintained their form since Brazil.
South Africa don't have any big stars and of course didn't make it to Brazil but they are on a 11-match unbeaten run having cruised through a group containing Nigeria, Congo and Sudan.
Shakes Mashaba has picked mostly players from the South African Premier League but has striker Tokelo Rantie from Bournemouth and defender Anele Ngcongca of Genk.
If Algeria can get off the mark quick they should win this well – and I was genuinely surprised by the even-money offer.
Ghana v Senegal promises to be close fought and with so match at stake for both sides this opener could well end in a draw.
The big game on Monday is Everton v West Brom and it's not an easy one to call but having looked at it more closely I don't believe the Baggies will lose and West Brom draw no bet is a decent price at 27-10 with McBookie and BetVictor.
Everton haven't won in seven but have drawn their last three over 90 minutes 1-1 – including two FA Cup ties with West Ham. Sylvain Distin and keeper Tim Howard are still out and stand-in goalie Joel Robles has yet to keep a clean sheet in six appearances.
James McCarthy, Aiden McGeady, Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Darron Gibson are also missing and with Tony Pulis making a fine start at West Brom and Saido Berahino in superb scoring form I can't back the home win.
I've looked at various lower-league matches across the Continent and for me nothing stands out – so there could be a few draws. I'm suggesting a low-stakes Trixie on WBA draw no bet, Perugia draw no bet at Bologna and both to score at Ghana v Senegal.
In Serie B Bologna have won of their last seven while Perugia have drawn eight out of 12. Ghana-Senegal is also being tipped in various places as a draw because neither can afford to lose with Algeria up next – and 1-1 has a nice feel about it after three 1-1 draws in the first four games of the tournament.
There is one game in the FA Trophy as Gateshead and Grimsby replay and again it will be tight. It was 0-0 in the first game and in 12 meetings between the two Grimsby have lost just two.
I've saw tips for Nancy at home to Orleans in Ligue 2 but Nancy have lost their last five league games so I'd be slightly concerned by that run.

I am fuming right now with Coral, I signed up to their offer of place a minimum 5 quid bet on the outright market in the city and arsenal game and get a free tenner bet everytime a goal is scored. I signed up deposited a tenner tried to put 5 on arsenal at 7/2 as I already on city elsewhere, it wouldn’t let me place the bet, nothing was showing on the betslip, phoned em they were engaged, went on live chat and after 30mins someone got back to me saying they were having technical issues, this was at 15:58.
Oh and then to give me another slap in the face I got a text at 16:02 from Coral welcoming me an reminding me to take them up on their “great” offer, talk about a kick in the nether regions, they may aswell added a smiley face to their text. Fuming!!!!
Coral are the worst in the business for restrictions and I had a number of issues myself before closing my account. William hill and Paddy Power are the best out there in my opinion

I wouldn’t have placed this type of bet if Corals hadn’t had tech difficulties. I know Arsenal were evens at +1 and if I got past this game then I knew I had a chance – lucky for me it did and it all fell into place

Jambo, I use will hill and bet365, but with this game usually producing goals I thought I would take them up on their offer, you and dawn are not the first to mention how bad they are but they are as bad as advertised, I will be sending them a strongly worded email in the morning as while I cant prove I was going to take the 7/2 on arsenal, I want my two ten pound free bets credited as a “gesture of goodwill” I will stick them on evens money shots then withdraw and shut down my account, they are really bad
They are the worst I’ve encountered for customer service. Also very quick to restrict/limit an account when you are taking money, even small amounts, off them on a regular basis.

I’ve had the best week I’ve ever done, I won £5000 on Monday which the regulars will know about, but this weekend I’ve won another £8000. If Marseille and Juventus -2 wins, my overall winnings this weekend will be £12,000 roughly.
Should I collect my winnings, then close my account, or can I continue to use bet365? I ask this, as I’ve been told of people losing their accounts from the companies not liking them winning big amounts of money over short periods of time.

JonnyUtd, re bet365 – I’d carry on as normal. Even if they close your account or restrict you they will give you the winnings. Not all good winning accounts are acted upon. I’m told bookies are more concerned about the type of bets people do rather than what they win. If you’re doing mostly W-D-W bets you are less likely to be closed down. I know of punters who have been closed down despite 100 per cent losers because they were only betting inplay.

I tend to find betvictor have the best odds for football bets the majority of the time, so if football is the main thing you bet on, and you are restricting yourself to 1 account I’d recommend them.
They don’t give out much bonuses, but never had a problem with them. I’d suggest having a few accounts so you get the best odds possible on any given bet though
AL, BetVictor – and of course McBookie who use the same prices – are up there for best odds. They have the McBookie guys scratching their head sometimes – you know things like 13-5 Hearts to beat Rangers.

AL, I’m not sure exactly how it works but the W-D-W prices on league games are the same although they do request changes like when they saw Hearts’ price. It will be a question of manpower though. They also do their own Scottish specials.

Charlie, sorry I’ve never heard of them so I assume they’re based on the Continent. I know nothing about how they operate but my advice to punters is to check out a firm’s reputation before opening an account. As long as they’re operating within the law though you shouldn’t have any problem getting your winnings.
Charlie they will want you to send proof of your identity and credit card that you used via an attachment to an email. It’s happened to me with a few of these more obscure betting sites such as youwin. Only happens when you win of course.

Reasoning:
None of the teams are in great goalscoring form, Everton should edge it but I can not see the game going over 2,5 goals unless Everton finally start finding the net more easily tonight, which is Very doubtful.
1-0 or 2-0 at most to Everton?
The Unders will cover a possible 1-1.
While a 1-2 2-2 or 0-3 would mean both bets lost – but those outcomes looks like long distance from reality in form of the teams. (WBA scoring only 20 goals in 21 games)

Daniel, you’re entitled to your opinion and to do your own bets. Personally I think West Brom will score with Berahino in great form and with Everton still struggling I can see the Baggies at least drawing. However, you should go with your own view if you have thought it out.

Just a wee bit of info for this game that you may not be aware off…..
Gibraltar only has the one stadium so teams aren’t classed as home or away, only 1 game can be played at any given time meaning no team has an advantage. Lincoln Red Imps and College Europa are by far and away the two best teams in the league but Red Imps shade Europa when you have a closer look at results against other teams in the division. Europa will beat a team, like their last result 2-0, Red Imps smashed them 6-0, before that Europa won 3-0, Red Imps beat the same team 7-0. Gibraltar only has the one stadium so teams aren’t classed as home or away, only 1 game can be played at any given time meaning no team has an advantage. For me personally Martinez is a shocking manager, his win ratio is shocking for a club like Everton. He is very fortunate to have inherited a well drilled defence off Moyes otherwise they would be struggling even more than they are now. They lack goal scorers in the team with just one recognised striker in Lukaku. Naismith is the support act and Eto looks like he is off during this transfer window. I am not sure if they will sign anyone but what I can say is they are in desperate need of another goal scorer. I think its 1 win in their last 12 games. They are showing nothing other than relegation form. In fact they are bottom of the form pile in the last 5 league games and even more alarmingly have won 2 out of their last 10 Premier League games. They have 8 points out of 30 and only 2 teams have less (Leicester & Sunderland with 7). After seeing what Mirallas did that certainly does not help. He will be gone by the summer. As a Liverpool supporter I am prepared to wager a few £’s @33/1 for Everton to get relegated. I would also add that this is a v. biased bet but one that I am prepared to take on for some interest. :P :P :P

Mr F- tranfer window slams shut very soon and to be honest the houdini’s of this world such as Harry and Pulis have already got a job. Crystal Palace look like they will pull away to safety as do WBA. If Martinez stays it will be a relegation fight for Everton and if they get a new manager in then even that does not guarantee safety especially if they go foreign! I didn’t Harpreet – I followed some on the site but all failed unfortunately. In a hole at the moment, everything I touch goes wrong – not stupid stakes or anything like that but just on a really bad run of luck. Today, I feel like I’ve picked all the tips on the site that lost.
I managed to build up some of my losses during the day whilst working and then get home to lose it all and a tiny bit more….1 step forward, 2 steps back. Frustrating.

Boys, as you know I landed a superb 6-4 double on Sat, and whilst I fancied City yesterday, having watched the opening 20mins carefully I wasn’t feeling “it” yaya was looking like a big miss, so I stuck my usual 25.00 on Arsenal at 4/1 so I showed a decent profit :)
Onto tonight I cant see WBA losing and there for my NAP is wba +2 at 4/11 80% of my pot will be on this and 20% on wba +1 at 20/19

I don’t get this slating of Harpreet. As I have said before I don’t follow him as I have a different style of betting however credit where credit is due he put up 6 tips one of which he didn’t place and he stated before that it would be odds dependant so it became 5 tips 4 of which won at 9/1 11/4 4/6 and 1/1 . He also stated his bigger stake was in double chance west brom . He suggested covering if anyone had followed his tips which is good advice if you are interested in protecting your stakes . I don’t see what he has done wrong this evening. Well done Harpreet good prices and decent wins fair play.
