THE Saturday Super Single has thrown away big leads the last two weeks so best advice might be to back Oxford to draw 3-3!

First Scunthorpe went from 3-0 up at Dagenham to draw 3-3 then Derby blew a 3-1 lead at Birmingham to draw 3-3. So here's another piece of advice – if Oxford take the lead or even go two up then cover the bet.

You'll have guessed by now Oxford at Bristol Rovers are the Super Single at 13-8 with Ladbrokes and much bigger at 19-10 with William Hill.

I like the look of Oxford who have picked up since Chris Wilder left for Northampton and remain the only unbeaten side away from home in the English leagues. Players have responded well to caretaker boss Mickey Lewis and this could be his last match in charge with Accrington gaffer James Beattie tipped to take over. Rovers have lost their last two and won just one in five.

The Top Treble features Hibs, Berwick and Burnley and pays an enhanced 3-1 at Betway. The reasoning is on another post.

Berwick and Hibs also feature on my homes and I add on-fire Sunderland at home to Hull, an impressive Reading side at home to Sheffield Wednesday and promotion-chasing Orient against misfiring Peterborough.

My aways start with Leeds at Yeovil. It won't be easy but Leeds deserve a shot after the way they beat Huddersfield 5-1 last week and players will be out to show they can perform for Brian McDermott.

Add Lincoln against lowly Hyde in the Conference Premier and Coventry at Notts County in League One to follow their midweek win at Bristol City.

So here are Saturday's top tips, mostly taken from my Daily Record column – and remember go easy on the draws and match result and btts.

      SATURDAYS SAFE TREBLE..needs no explaining

      Leicester 4/6
      Brentford 4/7
      Burnley 8/13
      £10 stake returns £42.31

      Saturdays Value Treble

Sunderland 11/10..only lost once in last 13 all comps whilst Hull are leagues worst form team with no wins last 5 losing 4 and only scoring once, also leagues worst away team with just 1 win from 12 aways.

Reading 4/5..pushing for promotion with 4 wins from last 5 and starting to score for fun with 16 goals scored in those wins, face a wedseday team that are unbeaten in last 7 but have no wins in last 5 aways all draws and just 1 away win all season.Strongly fancy Readings goal scoring form to be too strong this time for Wednesdays eternal search for a draw.

Accrington stanley 2/1..this is a first for me to tip this team for a win but they have been in decent form of late with 5 wins from last 7 aways and winning last 2 has seen them move out of relegation into 17th.They are away to a Wycombe side who have been dire for a long time and now sit just 3 from bottom, they havent won in last 7 and have failed to score in 5 of those games and have only registered 1 win in last 16 lg 2 games.

Right then, after a trying week to say the least, I’m tweaking the way I do my tips. I’ve decided to do something similar to what the racing guys do and that’s to go for a NAP, a NB and then a double.

For those football followers who don’t work in NAP’s and NB’s. NAP is my best bet of the day and the NB is the next best. You don’t have to agree with that but that’s how I will be doing it. I will be working on a points based system when I put up enough selections to have a NAP, NB and a double. 2pts will go on the NAP, 1pt will go on my NB and 1pt will go on my double. Hopefully that’s clear enough for everyone, I’m hoping this will mean more profit as I’m not splitting my stakes equally and going more on a good value NAP.

NAP BET: CARLISLE V GILLINGHAM 3:00pm

For those who saw my thoughts on yesterday’s thread, Carlisle to score over 1.5 team goals was my selection there. That is my NAP for the day. They’ve scored 2 or more in 8 of their 10 home matches and did the business for me last week against MK Dons. They face a Gillingham side that have conceded 2 or more goals in 11 of their 14 away matches this season. The H2H shows that in the last 5 meetings at Brunton Park, Carlisle have scored 2 or more in every match. This looks a great value bet at 10/11

NB BET: VALENCIA V REAL BETIS 3:00pm

Again, another match I pointed out earlier although this isn’t the same tip. Valencia’s last 5 home matches have seen 3 of them have 4 or more goals in. They come up against a Betis side woeful away from home with 6 defeats in last their 7 away matches, all of them having 4 or more goals. The last 3 games at Valencia have seen 10 goals and I’m going for over 3.5 match goals here at 13/8

      DOUBLE:
The first bet of my double is Freiburg v Hoffenheim over 2.5 goals. Each of Freiburg’s last 5 home matches have gone over 2.5 goals and 7 of Hoffenheim’s 9 away matches have gone over 2.5. Add to this that each of the last 3 H2H have done so too and 13/20 looks a pretty decent price for it to happen today. Add into this double Leyton Orient to score 2 or more goals against Peterborough. Orient have scored 2 or more in 8 of their 12 home matches and in each of their last 3. Peterborough have conceded 2 or more in each of their last 7 away games. The H2H record shows that Orient have scored at least twice in the last 4 meetings between the sides. It pays a solid 5/6. The double pays 2.02/1

      TIPS:
      NAP (2pts): CARLISLE OVER 1.5 TEAM GOALS – 10/11
      NB (1pt): VALENCIA V BETIS OVER 3.5 GOALS – 13/8

      DOUBLE (1pt):
FREIBURG V HOFFENHEIM OVER 2.5 GOALS
LEYTON ORIENT OVER 1.5 TEAM GOALS
      2.02/1

Hopefully this change in tactic pays off. We’ll find out tomorrow evening anyway! Best of luck to all having a go tomorrow :)

maybe your relying on stats to much, although you have done some cracking tips, you cannot always rely on stats.

    8. Alan 10 years ago

With the way Peterborough concede goals, especially away from home, I think Orient to score + 1.5 goals @ 10/11 is a gift from god.

    9. Sparky 10 years ago

Paul. Have to say I’m tempted with a lumpy single on btts at park head tomorrow think dons are playing well enough to make it a tasty game. Just checked teams from last week and reckon Ledley will be a big miss for celtic. Can you believe stmirren had more possession at park head last Sunday than celtic?! Good omen for dons that. 21/20 btts at betvictor.

Also like stranraer to give inverness a fright. Already dumped ross county out league cup and score 2 goals it seems every week. And wait for it ict are travelling down tomorrow morning and planning an hr stop somewhere! They must be leaving at 6! Find that staggering for an spfl club. Btts looks a good thing here at 4/5 ladbrokes looks more than fair.

Like Leeds as well think what’s happened last week in a strange way might have been a good thing for team and has galvanised them. Should have too much for Yeovil.

Reading are also a fair price and in great nick at home but I’m a little wary as Wednesday have picked up under Stuart Gray and there’s always some big surprise in the championship!

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Sparky, Dons should give it a go but Celtic will be protecting that record. OK, off for a few hours kip before it’s destination Earl’s Court in the morning.

      Carlisle vs Gillingham
      Leyton Orient vs Peterborough
      Napoli Vs Ac Milan

      It pays just over evens!

Over 2.5 goals in the Orient/Peterborough game looks a shout too @ 4/5.

I’d be interested if oor man has an opinion on whether he can see over 1.5 goals in the Napoli vs Ac Milan game coming in!

    13. Scott 10 years ago

Alex, I like the idea of the football tipsters using NAPs and NB’s. Works really well on the horse racing thread and the with the amount of tips that get posted up on here it may help people be a bit more selective in what they choose to back.

      • Alex 10 years ago

Scott – It’s up to everyone individually for what they do and how they rank their tips, but I do like the NAP, NB ranking. I think Greg is a fan too, but very few people put up tips formally daily on here, so I don’t know how it’ll go. We’ll see how I do like this for the next week or so.

    16. Steve The Pirate 10 years ago

Ahoy there mateys, after the joys of the horse racing I be looking at more races- the race to 2 goals. Coral be the best place to go for this.

Steered clear of big favourites, I don’t like going much below evens, just not enough booty in it for me, but there still be plenty of options out there. Here are one’s I feel have a good chance of coming through, on this occasion all are at home. I leave how many you take and how you bet them up to you scurvy dogs

      Southampton v Stoke
      Leicester v Watford
      Reading v Sheff Wed
      Burnley v Millwall
      Brentford v …I’ve forgotten, garrrr
      Leyton Orient v Peterborough
      Walsall v MK Dons
      Marseille v Bastia

And now for part one of Steve’s first venture into the turn 10 into 1000 challenge.

      Bristol Rovers v Oxford. 10 on 3-3 at 100/1

Part two is the best part of the challenge, involving getting your wooden leg out and waving it at every creature you see. Ha harrr!

    17. Neil 10 years ago

      Hi Alex,

I definitely like your Freiburg / Orient double.

I have chosen Aldershot to win and over 2.5 match goals / Nottingham Forest win as a double

Aldershot are better than 19th in the table and without -10 at the beginning of the season would be around 13th. 9 out of 10 league home games have gone over 2.5, winning 5, drawing 3, losing 2. Chester has 5 out of 10 going over 2.5

I think Forest are building great momentum towards the end of season gunfight of the playoffs and they will want to put some more daylight between themselves and the chasing pack for the playoff spots. Blackpool lost their exciting forward Tom Ince and the players they brought will need time to settle. However I think Forest will be too strong up front for Blackpool

Aldershot to Win and Over 2.5 = 7/4
      Notts Forest Win = 1/1
      Double = 5.5

Just hope the rain does not wash out the day.

      Good luck

      Saturday early games

      Yeovil v Leeds,

Yeovil have lost 6 of their last 7 matches in the league. Leeds have had a tough week with McDermott being released, then re hired. They showed their determination by beating Huddersfield 5-1 last week.

Yeovil have conceded at least two goals in 5 of their last six matches, while Leeds have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 meetings against Yeovil. For me Leeds O1.5g at 13/10 William Hill looks a good bet, as does the Leeds to win the match at 7/5 at William Hill.

Ross McCormack has 21 goals already and now faces the bottom club in the league, who he scored both goals against earlier in the season in a 2-0 win. At 11/10 Betvictor, I will want to be with him.

      LEEDS TO BEAT YEOVIL 7/5
      LEEDS TO SCORE O1.5g 13/10
      McCORMACK TO SCORE 11/10

Good luck if your having a bet

      Liverpool v Arsenal

Liverpool (4th) host Arsenal (1st) in the big match of the weekend with Liverpool having won 83% of their home matches and Arsenal having won a massive 66% of their away matches we should be in for a great game. Liverpool is currently on an unbeaten run of 7 games with Arsenal enjoying an unbeaten run of 10 games in all competitions.

We will see the 2nd and 3rd best offense in the league match up against eachother with Arsenal having won 3 of the last 4 meetings between these two, however Liverpool are in great form having beat Everton 4-0 in their last game despite only having 39% possession, they have consistently shown an efficient use of the ball this season, however they face an Arsenal team who have kept 11 clean sheets (3 away) in the league and will try to stop Liverpools run of 9 home games where they have scored at least 2 goals.

These are two very different first half teams with Liverpool looking to win the game early (38 goals scored) against an Arsenal team who try to start their away games conservatively and soak up the early pressure from the home team (scored 7, conceded 5) however they do much better in the second half scoring twice as many goals with 25% of their total goals scored in the last 15 minutes.

15 out of the last 19 meetings have seen both teams score and we can expect an attacking game and with Lucas out for Liverpool we can expect Arsenal to expose a weakness in Liverpool’s midfield while Liverpool’s fast counter attacks will be able to score against an Arsenal team who have shown defensive problems away from home.

Both teams have failed to score in just one of their home and away league games respectively.

Recommended Bet: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @ 1.55 (Ladbrokes, BetVictor)

      Crystal Palace v West Brom

17th hosts 16th in this relegation match with West Brom having won only 1 of their away league matches and conceding 20 goals in the process which gives some hope to Crystal Palace who will need to take advantage of these home games to stay in the Premier League having lost 68% of their matches so far.

Palace’s main strength is their ability to keep things tight at home (5 clean sheets from 12) however they have failed to score in half of their league matches and West Brom have failed to score in one third of their away matches.

West Brom have won just 1 of their last 15 in all competitions while Palace have got recent wins against Hull and Stoke.

In each of their last 6 games both teams have seen under 2.5 goals come in 5 times and both meetings between these teams this season have finished under 2.5 goals and we expect them to make it a hattrick.

Recommended Bet: UNDER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.62 (Ladbrokes, BetVictor)

      G’day gentlemen,

Some considerable selections for your accumulators tonight:

Teams who have drawn but not lost at home this season:
      Luton 2/7
      Burnley 3/5

Teams who have lost just a single game at home and won/drawn the others:
      Leicester 8/11
      Fiorentina 4/9
      CD Nacional 10/11
      KSV Roeslare 1 (Belgium Division 2) 7/5
Sportfreunde Siegen 1 (Germany Regionalliga West) 4/5

Include any as Draw No Bet or straight win to your liking and good luck :)

      • Rustychest 10 years ago

Excuse the ‘1’ after Roeslare, it was on my shortlist and indicated a single loss. I copy pasted it out of my text-based database and that got left behind.

      • Rustychest 10 years ago

Same with the Siegen selection. Oh I’m such a goof :) Great to be back though haha

      • Rustychest 10 years ago

Woah. Heavy odds drop on Sportfreunde Siegen after I posted that. I guess somebody is paying attention :)

    37. Rogerdodger 10 years ago

Mr F. Regarding Oxford: Personally, I would not be keen on Oxford after a dismal midweek display when they were,by all accounts, very lucky to escape with a draw against poor opposition. The Pirates have also won their last two. Nevertheless, if you feel that they could get off to a flyer then you could consider covering them in a more non-specific and different way than the correct scores by using them in one of the following markets:

(Links to markets on Oddschecker below each bet type)

Back Bristol Rovers to ‘come from behind and draw or win’ 9-2 Hills

      http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-2/bristol-rovers-v-oxford/to-come-from-behind-and-draw-or-win

Back Bristol Rovers to ‘come from behind and draw’: 15-2 Hills

Or, the best odds are to be had by backing Oxford in the ‘Half Time lead and fail to win’ market:

      http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-2/bristol-rovers-v-oxford/half-time-lead-and-fail-to-win

      12-1 at Coral

      • Rogerdodger 10 years ago

Sorry Mr F. I got some dodgy Opta info from the Oddschecker site -you think they would get it right! You are correct when you say that Bristol Rovers have lost their last two but regarding just their home form, the last 1-0 defeat against Accrington apart, they had won their previous 4 in a row 3-1,2-1,2-0 and 3-0 against Newport, Exeter, Portsmouth and Wimbledon respectively.

      Morning gents

      Posted this last night:

      Loyola v Socceroo KO 10.15pm

Now into round 6 of fixtures and the league is starting to shape nicely! From tue / Thu fixtures we saw matches end 7-1 3-1 3-1 4-1 with the Global match proving to be particular profitable bringing in all three singles!

Tomorrows match see’s league leaders Loyola host new boys Socceroo and already there is an 11 point gap between these two! Loyola are the leagues highest scorers with 19 goals, Socceroo have the worst defensive record having conceded 21 already! This is a real mismatch in terms of quality! Loyola are in terrific form and Socceroo have struggled to adapt to life in the top league! This had goals written all over it and convincing home win! The visitors have already been hammered 7-1 twice this season with one of them against an average PSG team on Tuesday, they are playing the leagues best team, this could be a cricket score! Obviously we don’t need it to be, 5-0 would do! Not sure what markets will start at for his but it will likely be 1.5 fhg 4/6 and over 4.5 8/11!

The second game also looks good for goals between Phillipine Army v Stallions!

I had spotted this 5-fold a few days ago and nothing has shaken my belief in it. I’ve tried to question it from all angles but I usually throw a couple out and replace them come weekend. Maybe I have been over-thinking and tinkering too much of late. We’ll see:

      Burnley
      Leicester
      Nottingham Forest
      Brentford
      Orient

Pays a shade over 20-1 at Bet Victor. May nip to Labrokes and add Chelsea at their Price Boost of 4-9 in a 5-fold or more.

My Super Single would have to be Leyton Orient. Why are they odds against? They are at home to bloody Peterborough -the most overrated team across all divisions.Their midweek, first leg cup tie against Swindon sums them up: 2-0 up against 10 men and then capitulated as it finished 2-2. OK, they made a great start but they concede like a faulty sieve. The ‘O’s have a peerless home record and, with their potent strike force, it will be like shooting fish in a barrel for them this afternoon.

      Super single:

Leyton Orient 21-20 at Hills,SkyBet and BetVictor.

Most others are currently evens and several are odds-on (Ladbrokes included). Catch the value while you can.

    41. steadyeddy 10 years ago

Mrf I love the Super Single today, great price on it! Glad you stuck with it, today is the day the Saturday SS comes again!

Alex, nice one mate, have done the NAP a few times but haven’t propery introduced it! Definitey the right way to go! You at the football today?

Al, fancy the dons to cause a shock today? :)

      • AL 10 years ago

Hoping so Greg mate, had a cheeky £10 on it, at 8/1 it’s worth a little punt!

You heading up the road to Forfar? You lot should be in the draw tomorrow, fingers crossed we’ll join you

      • Alex 10 years ago

Greg – Unfortunately not, didn’t fancy a trip to Bolton to watch the Cherries and Villa Park is a trek from me. Wouldnt have been able to get tickets anyway, well in the away end that is!

    43. Dave 10 years ago

Thanks Danny I got the overs using oddschecker next stupid question how do I use them in ascas?

      • Danny 10 years ago

No Worries Dave just got in and seen your question just click on all the games you want and it will automatically bring up the accumulator along with single trebles and so on just put your stake next to the accumulator box place bet and your laughing

I don’t like to bet on matches that I watch especially one where I reckon their will be lots of goals I really like the incredibly difficult to land both to score in both halves in this game 11/1 @ Skybet looks reasonable other firms have it priced 6/1 and 8/1

      Sydney-Adelaide about to start.
Lately i played over at corners and australian league is a good one.

Over 11 total corners is above evens.Small stake :)

    46. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Should be a cracking game, can definitely see you scoring! :)

Yeah Station park Bound, looking forward to a day on the terracing, haha! And a Forfar Bridie

      • AL 10 years ago

Not a bad away day is Forfar, we played them 2-3 years ago in the Scottish cup. Bradies are great, had one on the way in then went back for a second one just before half time but they were sold out!

I’m fairly confident we’ll score. Just a case of how we do at the other end.

We haven’t beaten them in 18 games which is shocking! This season we’ve done relatively well against them but lost both games, 2-0 at Pittodrie where we matched them up until Lnagfield got sent off for the penalty, and the 3-1 defeat down there, where again we lost 2 late goals in injury time to cost us a point. Last season we also led 3-2 with 3 minutes remaining & ended up losing 4-3!

        Few bets worth considering is

Aberdeen to have a red card @ 13/2 paddypower
Celtic to get a penalty – can’t see it on oddschecker so

Celtic to score a pen @ 5/1 paddypower
Pen in match @ 10/3 willhill

We always seem to have a player sent off (Considine several times) and or a penalty against us when we play Celtic. And with the late goals going against us regularly down there it might be worth backing on another goal on the overs markets in play markets after 85 mins!

    47. Chappers 10 years ago

Just so you know gents coral are doing an enhanced treble of Leicester, reading and burnley all to win at 9/2, I’ve bet on it and it seems pretty good odds.

    48. MiniDuffman 10 years ago

Not had much time to look at the games this saturday, and far too tired for a proper write up. Here’s my singles:

Super Single – NAC Breda v Roda JC – Over 3.5 Goals 6/4

      Other singles over evens:
      Leyton Orient 21/20
      Aldershot v Chester Over 3.5 Goals 2/1
      Valencia Over 2.5 Goals 6/4

And for the hell of it i’ve stuck 20p on a BTTS and Win 8-fold pretty much to see how many I can get right at a quick glance. Here’s who I’ve went for:

      Liverpool – Arsenal DRAW
      COVENTRY
      LEYTON ORIENT
      ALDERSHOT
      WREXHAM
      VALENCIA
      REID
      NAPOLI

Hooray for a 8000/1 shot. Best of luck with all your bets today.

    53. Jamesb 10 years ago

Every Saturday I do a Handicap double on favorites. It has been workin well so far.

      Celtic – 1 and Galatasary -1.

Yes Aberdeen have been decent, but with the league all but wrapped up Neil Lennon will be going all out for this win. I have no doubt he will have watched Rangers last night and will be licking his lips at the thought of potentially drawing them in the next round. Easy Celtic win.

Galatasary have done excellent to get back in the title race, and they really can’t drop anymore point now though. They are on a great run steam rolling teams at home, whilst the visitors today are good at home themselves, they are dreadful away. Gala with the likes of Drogba, Yilmaz, Sneijder and melo will prove too strong.

Just over 5/1 for the double. Good luck.

Alex im liking the idea of introducing the NAP, NB system here! i’ll give it a go!

      NAP – Yeovil v Leeds
I am a leeds fan so i am being a little biased here but back in our league 1 days (the ones to forget) we went unbeaten against Yeovil, recording 6 wins a 1 draw! we also recorded a 2-0 win back in november this season. I think theres good value in backing leeds to continue this trend
Also the fact the lads will want to impress to help Mcdermott possibly keep his job if the new lot take over!
      Leeds Win 5/4

NB – Notts County v Coventry City
Im going for Coventry Over 1.5 goals at 11/10. Coventry have an average of 3.75 goals per game, and averaging 2 per game! Notts County are hovering in the relegation zone with one of the worst defence in the league and currently letting in goals left right and center!
Id go for over match goals but the odds were better for O1.5 CC goals.
      Coventry O1.5 goals 11/10

Double – Burnley Win & Orient Win
Burnley are chasing Automatic promotion after a brilliant start to the season, they’ve no chance in catching Leicester but with only been 3 points behind QPR every point counts and this is definitely a winnable game against a Millwall side hovering above relegation. If this was at the lions den i wouldn’t go near this bet but with Burnley been the home side i fancy them today.
Orient again are another promotion contender except they play Peterborough who are also a side chasing promotion via the play offs. Im leaning towards Orient as P’Borough let in a lot off goals and as everyone knows Orient like to score! so Home win for me
      Double pays 2.2/1

Goalscorer – McCormack 10/3 first scorer

    62. lee cunliffe 10 years ago

Oxford looks good shout and a good price at billy hill. I am on port vale at home vs Swindon 17/10 port vale won 4 of their last 6 at home, swindon lost 4 of last 6 away plus Swindon played midweek so presume port vale will be fresher.

    63. Baldy45 10 years ago

I like the SS today. Great price as well :-)

My bets today are Celtic v Aberdeen BTTS 11/10 (betfair)

St Johnstone, Hibs, Southampton treble at odds of 3.07 (Lads)

amd Jelavic (Hull) to score anytime at 3/1, and small bet on first goal at 8/1 (paddypower)

No one fancy Wigan? Away to Huddersfield who have lost 4 in a row! Wigan won well at the weekend against Charton and have won away to Derby and Reading this year. A look online and the Huddersfield fans don’t fancy a win and feel their team are in freefall, they also have a couple of key injuries. Wigan also reported to be taking a large support through. So With the cup in Scotland meaning short favs Wigan are my NAP todayat 29/20. I am going to put them in a single as well as in a four fold with the 4 Scottish cup favs: Celtic, Hibs, St J and ICT- I can’t see any not winning today.

      Arsenal – Over 1.5 Team Goals @11/8

Arsenal have scored at least 2 goals in their last 5 Premier League Matches. They’ve also scored at least 2 goals in the last 4 matches against Liverpool in all Competitions.

Add to the fact that they’re undefeated against Liverpool in 11 of the last 12 in all competitions. I really fancy Arsenal to get a couple today and take something away from Anfield. Also, Liverpool struggle against the teams above them. They’ve lost to Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea already this season. It’s worth noting they’ve all been away from home but still worth taking into consideration.

Arsenal Over 1.5 Team Goals is 11/8 @Bet365
      Arsenal Win is 23/10 @Bet365

Just because he survuved cancer doesn’t make him a special case, ask any celtic rangers hearts hibs man utd man city players and the rest and 99% will guve you the same answer.

      • raaljaca 10 years ago

Should make you realise that there is more to life than pathetic comments like that. I don’t give a toss about Maybury on anyone else playing for Hibs all that matters to me is who is at Tynie. Hartson loves to open his big mouth and talk sh*te though Craig, tends to do it often. Not having a go because he played with your lot just think it is a stupid narrow minded comment from someone who should appreciate how irrelevant it is mate.

      Buck,

      ACCA 1
READING to beat Sheff Wednesday (BTTS and Win)
      Man City (-1)
      Middlesbrough (Win only)

In the absence of the BRENTFORD game being postponed, then I’d consider LEYTON ORIENT or COVENTRY as Mr F has indicated. My bet was placed with BRENTFORD but that four fold now becomes a treble.

      ACCA 2
CARLISLE to beat Gillingham (BTTS and Win)
WALSALL to beat MK DONS (BTTS and Win)
MAN CITY to beat Norwich (BTTS and Win)
      Port Vale (Win Only)
      Leicester (Win Only)
      ***Pays 220/1***

      ACCA 3 – just placed.
      Oxford (Win only)
LEICESTER (Btts and Win) to beat Watford
COVENTRY (Btts and Win) to beat Notts County
LEYTON ORIENT (Btts and Win) to beat Peterborough
      Reading (Win only)

I’ve only chucked £10 on ACCA 3 for a bit of interest as it’s a 5 fold but should keep some excitement going until 1650 hours. You should get about 400/1 for that with BET VICTOR. I fancy all five to win, especially Reading and Orient and believe the other three have a good chance of victory.

Again the poxy weather is going to make a few games unpredictable so my stakes are going to be smaller until better weather returns.

I’m up a lot since October last year so am confident I’ll nail another big winner in the next few weeks.

Once the new signings have bedded in after a few weeks then form will play a more significant part so roll on March / April time.

      Nottingham Forest 23/20 Betvictor

Forest have drawn their last three away games in the championship, but face a Blackpool team that haven’t won in their last 12. I think Forest wins to continue their promotion push.

      Saturday scorers

      Dzeko evens various
      Ings 21/20 Betvictor
      Mooney 11/8 Bet365

Need to check team news but fancy all to score first two facing struggling sides, whilst Mooney faces a Peterborough side that have conceded ten in three games. I’m doing them as singles and as a treble who has them on his anytime you like coupon. Pays 10/1

      ANYTIME YOU LIKE TREBLE 10/1

Good luck if your having a bet

    142. Shaunt 10 years ago

My BIG anytime scorer tip would be Bony for Swansea v Cardiff. I expect Swansea to react well with a new manager, someone the players already know and respect. They should be up for this match and will be out for some revenge and bragging rights after Cardiff beat them 1-0 at their place. So Bony will be my anytime scorer tip of the day, as I try and narrow my bets down a bit.

My SMALL anytime scorer bet is Altidore v Hull. I’ve seen real improvement in his game recently, all he’s missing is a goal and this might come today. Playing against his former club he should be right up for this, hopefully!!

    143. Craig Alves 10 years ago

FFS haha no going to plan, could be worse tho wi Arsenal 5-0 down. just to celtic RT9 and Liverpool 6th gl before 80 mins 8/5 & 5/4

      Reading v Sheff Wednesday

Reading have been stunning recently, at extremely strong at home. They have been scoring freely at home. Therefore a reading -1 has to be a recommended bet at 2/1 with SkyBet.

Man City game over 1.5 goals 6/5 worth a small punt!

    184. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

      Buck, just caught me. Synchronicity.

      Fiorentina
      Napoli
      Udinese

Udinese will be tight but id fancy them to get a goal to seal it. But a draw is possible at worst.

Fior and Nap have to win and they know it so im expecting them to be ready for it. Just expect both teams could lose an early goal. Its not uncommon especially here. So perhaps you may get more return In-Play.

      Good fortune.

If a super single looses it looses it’s up to each person if they back it ! But when it does loose I don’t blame bad luck, red card , own goals hint at match fixing etc !! Placing any bet on football there are no sure things take it on the chin and move on !! Think this site is loosing focus put up ss be confident in it , covering bets is a personal choice, personally I don’t cover small stakes but try to if I’ve a large single !! or double or treble that stands to pay big. At the end of the day this is a free site( at minute) I use it for information I also have a site I pay for but with both I don’t back slap when doing well or slag of when on bad run!! Just my opinion!!!

What’s the thinking Oor Man- Napoli worth a punt tonight against a very inconsistent Milan side?

    235. Rogerdodger 10 years ago

Some weird results today: not least Orient losing to a crappy Peterborough side.

I should have persisted with Watford in the ‘first half lead and fail to win’ market (at 12-1).They did it AGAIN today by leading Leicester into the interval but then drawing 2-2 at the death.I put them up in this market last week but they were at home. It is worth noting, however, that today was th
eir third consecutive away game where they have won in this market (Man City, Notts Forest, Leicester).

Well worth considering this marketnin future away games for the Hornets…especially against superior opposition.

Craig, double looks solid. But when I put it in Bet365, it only came out at 0.54/1 where did you get 1.54?

    240. raaljaca 10 years ago

Correct Honda, if people cannot take the time to study from etc and form their own opinions then they shouldn’t be gambling. I won’t criticise anybody on here as I only back Greg, The Chief and Chris Guys tips if I fancy them myself. Nobody else puts up winning tips regularly but at least they do take time post.

Crazy everyone on Mr F back again . I bet the people moaning dont even bet anyway . Mr F everyone has a bad run , but soon will change

    250. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

Tonyboy, mentioned earlier, Udi Fio Nap tonight(well i mentioned them but ive not got a bet on.)
Nap are playing 4th game in 10days so tiredness could play.
AC wear concrete boots in defence. Their front line(kaka is out I think) has scored less than Higuain alone
Napoli front line is the highest scoring in Serie A
Home only once lost in sheesh, 22 games or something such like..
On paper its a win for Napoli, but football doesnt always play by that!

Surprised by Udinese though scoring so many…playing like last season again..

      • honda 10 years ago

oor man! Didn’t put Trapana on in the end but did put a small stake on Siena, feel the early goal killed the game off! I’ve looked at everything on the Napoli game but have one question for you, what is your gut feeling on the result?

    251. tur 10 years ago

Swansea. :-) more money I love it.

    252. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

    253. Craig Alves 10 years ago

yesevil that was decimal odds, basically what you’d get back for £1. 0.54/1 would be fraction odds

    254. Yesevil 10 years ago

      Ah, sorry Craig, my mistake

    255. tur 10 years ago

Yes swansea just made a great day even better.time for a big drink :-)

    256. thechief 10 years ago

Evening guys late goal beat my single and Dzeko was on the bench, but Ings & Mooney still delivered for me.

      Napoli v AC Milan

Napoli have only lost once at home in 21 games, and face a inconsistent Ac Milan who concede on average 2 goals away from home this season. Napoli are 23/20 Betvictor.

The goals Ac Milan are conceding and the fact Bonera and Zapata are out takes me to Napoli 01.5 goals. It paid evens at William Hill, just checked and it now is 19/20, It is being backed in the last hour, so shop around for best value.

In the goal scorer market regulars may not be surprised were I’m going. Higuian has ten goals and netted the winner in this match earlier in the season, he is 6/5 Bet365.

NAPOLI TO BEAT AC MILAN 23/20
      NAPOLI O1.5g 1/1
      HIGUIAN TO SCORE 6/5

Good luck if your having a bet

      • honda 10 years ago

No bother Yesevil, anything above evens I’d use fraction but just looks a bit daft 0.54/1. Up nice and early anyway so can relax for 15 mins :)

      Valencia
      Marseille
      Wolfsberger
      Salzburg
      Real Madrid
      Feyernoord
      Fiorentina
      Olympiakos

    278. Alex 10 years ago

Just for the record, I just wanted to say my piece about the site. Mr F has set up arguably the best betting site on the web. The figures speak for themselves in terms of how many people visit the site. It is growing exponentially and will continue to do so. Mr F reasons his tips every day and is proven over a long long time. 15+ years in the game and one of the biggest betting sites on the web.

The comments section, soon to be a forum of some kind I’m lead to believe, is invaluable to everyone. We’ve got some seriously good tipsters on here and I’m not going to name names but regulars know who they are. This is before we mention the racing thread which under the guidance of the superb raaljaca and the incredible johnb amongst many many other superb tipsters on there. I know we might not always win and I’m on a particularly poor run myself, but people should never take anyone’s tips as gospel. If you follow blindly without doing your own research, you’ll end up getting burned.

This site really is a valuable resource for those who enjoy to bet and who want to get the most out of it. It’s not for those out of control gamblers who risk it all. So thank you Mr F for all your hard work on the site and thank you to everyone who makes this site what it is.

      • Blink 10 years ago

Good words Alex, very well said.

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alex, cheers for that. Just back from London so shattered. Admin deleted most of the daft comments and when I look at the results I can’t see how many people would have picked winners today. I read the Racing Post from cover to cover on the way down and anyone who thinks it was an easy day should look at their tips – virtually all football tips were wrong – and that’s from respected, experienced and knowledgeable tipsters. Man City and Atletico were probably the biggest surprises – Celtic didn’t shock me too much and my headline tip in the Record today was both to score at over evens – but Hibs and to a lesser extent Inverness were not expected.

    279. Mark1976 10 years ago

There it is, need Atletico to get going now

    313. Oor man in Napoli 10 years ago

Your first pick is usually a good one whenever you ask me, Honda. Quite like Parma. Sampdoria.(cag are poor away but still, a draw is possible) Torino, even more as Diamanti is off to Lippi’s team in China. He was their man. Juve but i fancy Verona could score.
Every last six roma lazio games end in red. 2 of them being 2 reds. Its Romas time this time. I really think Lazio are massively improved in defence. Last game was tight. Balzaretti scored late on and burst into tears at scoring!
Genoa could draw and Inter could too, but i expect inter to scrape a win.(not 7-0 this time for sure)

Dont think i can write my usual thesis on each game as just too busy but may post live in play tomorrow if anything goes wrong and worth tipping for or against..

WOW! The 2 goals I wanted tonight Deffo didn’t come from who I expected them to come from, very lucky! That’s the beauty of overs rather than outright winners I suppose! new Zealand youth league has a match in play at HT, after athletico let me down on bank builder for over £43 from £3 I’m trying over 4.0 Asian Goals. 12 shots on target 11 off and 9 corners in the 1st half so a wide open gane plus have the safety of ££ back if there’s 4 goals exactly. £5 on at 1.775

Don’t worry about it oor man :) I was quietly confident myself that it would come in, just your opinion gives me a little bit more confidence haha! Hope you had a successful day!

      Evening Craig,

Im having some of that thank you. Your my go to guy for corners these days, in the Man City game though they busted my coupon, the 18 match corners turned me a profit in the end.

Lets see how the kiwi youths turn out, cheers for the heads up

      £10-£1000 Challenge
Well after the usual poor Saturday for most of us I was happy see bet 3 come in even though stakes and odds were low. As we all know, anything can happen in football and usually does and where you would least expect it. Bet 3 returned £32.20 so that is the next stake unless some of you wish to retain the starting £10 to begin with again.

      Bet 4

      FC Porto win 1/6

      Sivasspor clean sheet no 1/7

      Aarau clean sheet no 1/8

      )32.20 returns £48.29

    340. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Mexican game at HT just now, Oaxaca are at home and seem to be edging it stat wise but tye away side just went down to 10 men just before ht whistle. Going for the home win at 4/5. £8 returns £14.40 with another £1.49 going on it at ft at NZ match ( 88p waisiland 0.0 at 3-2, now 4-2)

    341. Craig Alves 10 years ago

      £1.50 on at 8/11

    342. Andrew 10 years ago

      You are relentless mate.

Had Almeria as insurance at 14-1 after about 75 minutes, so finishing off an up and down day by taking your tip and letting it ride while I sleep.

Think im right in remembering your United fan yeah Craig, sorry if im wrong, just wondered what you were thinking of for tomorrows game?

      Andrew

    343. Craig Alves 10 years ago

United haha, nah I’m a Celtic man but I came 2nd in last years sky sports fantasy football ‘late risers’ league and won 2 vip tickets to any prem league match so chose Manc derby at old trafford. Gotta fancy them tomorrow tho to win by a few

      • Andrew 10 years ago

Hahaha, sorry got that one badly wrong! Ah ok mate, yeah id agree there, handicap looks decent. Against anyone else maybe not but Fulham look in real trouble atm.

Sorry bout your lot mate, but then my lot got battered 3-0. Seemed at least as if yours put up a fight!

Keep your eye on the club America game inplay, I work nights and remember finishing work about 3 nights ago when the away team Pachuca were playing at home and were clear favourites. They had 25 shots to about 5 and ended up losing. To be to the point I think they are shite infront of goal. Low stakes advised for late night fun gents.

    345. Craig Alves 10 years ago

      Oaxaca 1-0 up

    346. cooldude 10 years ago

Does anyone actually know what the worlds biggest footy accum paid?

    347. Pin High 10 years ago

Posted a GAA 5 team accum last week at 6/1 and was v close as 4 wins and a draw. Less ambitious this week with a solid 4 timer.
cork, donegal, cavan, tipperary pays 3.5 on PP

    348. gerry g 10 years ago

cooldude it wasn’t meant to be but it changed my destination in life I had just left oz 9 months prev as things didn’t work out and I was down south at the time I’m now back in Scotland struggling for work they call it fate.

    349. Scott "The Cat" 10 years ago

Mark at odds of 2.3 America might be worth a bet. In game stats are quite even. America have won the last 3 H2H against Pachuca and have won 4 out of last 5 at home. BUT pachuca really do love a draw.

    350. Craig Alves 10 years ago

bet cashed out £15.29 to build tomorrow, only lose out on £1.60 not worth the risk

      • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Craig, fair enough. Right. I’m off for a kip. Let’s hope for a super Sunday.

    351. Craig Alves 10 years ago

      Thoughts on today’s matches!

      Dundee United v St Mirren

Don’t have to go into too much detail as Cammy has already posted a good write up on this match! This was going to be my NAP today so good to see others have a similar view! As Cammy said, Utd are strong at home and in my opinion are due a win!

Back over 1.5 Dundee Utd team goals 8/11 NAP
      Over 2.5 match goals 4/5

      Man U v Fulham

The return of RVP couldn’t have come quick enough! This is an ideal match for Utd who against a side who can’t defend and are terrible travellers! Utd should win this comfortably scoring at least three, looks good value to me!

Back over 2.5 Man U team goals 4/5

Sporting Gijon v Ponferradina KO 4pm

The hosts remain ticked in behind league leaders Rec and with them involved in a tough away match today, a win could see then go top! They have been strong at home but what stands out for me is 8 of their last 10 has seen them score 2 or more goals! That coupled with the fact Ponf don’t travel well ( 1 win in 14 ) Sporting should come out in top!

Back Sporting Gjon over 1.5 Tean goals 5/6
