IT'S a pretty quiet day of sport although you can always rely on the NBA for some action.

There's a five-match card getting under way tonight and Phoenix Suns play their first game since sacking head coach Jeff Hornacek on the back of a rotten run of 19 defeats in 21 games.

The Suns, with Earl Watson in interim charge, host Eastern Atlantic leaders Toronto Raptors and are 4-1 at Skybet for a much-needed win while the away side are just 1-5 at bwin.

Boston Celtics are 10-13 Paddy Power as they look to bounce back from a first defeat in six when they travel to New York Knicks (11-10, Skybet). And the other matches see Portland entertain Milwaukee, Minnesota visit LA Lakers and Miami head to Houston.

On the tennis front, the ATP Montpellier serves up Borna Coric and Dustin Brown v Steve Darcis among the day's matches.

Good luck with your bets and let's hear all your sporting tips and chat. We've brought Jordan on board to head up the sports tips and also watch out for his football tips. We wish him well.

His tip is below and he says: “It’s quite a difficult card in tonight's NBA but always the case when its smaller. Toronto will be peeved their run of wins came to an end after losing in Denver last night and will look to get back winning ways in Phoenix with the Suns in a bad way after firing their head coach yesterday (which I thought was unfair as). The Bucks are on b2b road games and face a Portland side who have won 6 of their last 7 at home.”

AS you may see, jack of all sports, Jordan now has his own thread but he's also a dab hand when it comes to football tipping.

Whenever possible we'll post his footie selections separately but if you follow Jordan check both threads.

Jordan says: “I tipped this on the weekend as my first bet for February so I thought I’d add my reasons for taking this market. Norwich are tied for the lowest amount of clean sheets in the league with Sunderland (3).

“Norwich have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches in the Premier League. Spurs have scored 7 goals in their last 2 league games.

“Spurs are undefeated away from home since their 1-0 loss to United on the opening day of the season and have scored in every away game since that loss.

“Spurs have scored two or more in 3 of their last 4 games away from home and the previous h2h was a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane.

“Norwich did some business in January, strengthening their attack with Steven Naismith and Patrick Bamford while defender Timm Klose has been brought in from Wolfsburg.”

RAMPANT Golden State Warriors look to rack up yet another win when they travel to Washington Wizards in tonight's packed NBA fixture list.

The defending champs are 44-4 this season and should be too good for a Wizards side who've lost six of their last 10 outings.

England's cricketers start the five-match ODI series against South Africa in Bloemfontein this morning and are slight underdogs at 11-10 with Ladbrokes, to begin with, a win while the Proteas are 3-4 at Boylesports.

The German Master's snooker cues off in Berlin with Mark Selby topping the title betting at 9-2 with Betway and the day-one action features the likes of Shaun Murphy and Judd Trump.

There's also the likes of tennis and NHL worth a punt so let's hear all your sporting tips and chat and don't miss Jordan's top NBA picks which will be posted as a comment then added to the thread ahead of tip-off.

Jordan says: “Evening gents. Have to be quick but I’m sure somebody would have mentioned that Kemba Walker will not play for the Hornets tonight so Cavs should get a win with a decent cover.

The Clippers are rested and playing the Timberwolves who lost last night against the Lakers with Kobe getting a lot of joy from the arc. Should be good signs for Redick and the Clippers bench.

The Spurs play the Pelicans at home and should really win this with ease. The Pelicans play a much more winnable game tomorrow at home to the Lakers. Spurs to get another win and carry on their outstanding run at home.”

JORDAN made a good start to his new column with a nap winner thanks to Spurs to score 2+ at Norwich.

He's out to make it two in a row with a European double.

Jordan says: Never quite as confident backing away sides in leagues I’m not as familiar with as I have to go by stats a lot more.

I’m intrigued by the price of Bordeaux to score at Lyon. They did lose their most influential player this season in the Tunisian forward Wahbi Khazri to Sunderland on deadline day but he has only produced two assists and one goal in three of Bordeaux’s last seven Ligue 1 games.

It's safe to say Lyon aren’t who they used to be. They haven’t kept a clean sheet since the start of December and even then their last clean sheet at home was early on in November.

Bordeaux, on the other hand, are undefeated in their last seven and have scored in 10 of their last 11 games. They also made some decent signings in the window bringing Debuchy in from Arsenal and Malcolm, an 18-year-old from Brazilian side Corinthians who has featured for his national U20 team. They still have the likes of big Diabate, Rolan and Plasil who can all cause problems on their day.

My next game takes me to Italy where promoted Frosinone are probably set for the drop back where they belong. They have conceded at least two goals in 11 of their last 12 matches in Serie A.

They host a Bologna side who have won five of their last six away games and scored at least twice in their last three, scoring in six of their last seven on the road against sides such as Juventus, AC Milan and Sassuolo.

JORDAN took a night off on Thursday and the best advice when you don't fancy anything is not to be tempted.

He's back with a lower-league German tip for tonight and it looks a good one.

He says: “Small interest for me on this one. My attention has been brought to a game in the German Regionalliga Nordost. BFC Dynamo are at home to a side called Halberstadt who have 5 points from their 18 games played and sit bottom of the league.

“Only two points have come away from home. Dynamo sits in 6th but are the league's leading scorers with 40. To put it into perspective Dynamo have four players who have scored more than their opponents' top scorer. They have met three times in the last 15 months with Dynamo scoring 3 or more goals in each contest.

THERE'S a Calcutta Cup cracker this evening as the Six Nations rugby kicks off in style.

Scotland takes on the Auld Enemy at Murrayfield with the teams heading into the game on the back of contrasting World Cup campaigns.

The Scots did well to reach the quarter-finals – where they were only narrowly beaten by Australia – while hosts England suffered a group-stage exit that led to Stuart Lancaster being axed as head coach.

New boss Eddie Jones takes charge for the first time tonight and his side are 1-2 favourites with William Hill for victory at a ground where they are undefeated since 2008.

Vern Cotter's Scotland are 5-2 underdogs at Stan James and under 38.5 points in the match – which has landed in seven of the last eight Murrayfield meetings of the sides – pays 5-6 at Ladbrokes.

The earlier game sees France heavy odds-on favourites to beat 14-1 underdogs Italy.

Other highlights on a packed Saturday of sport including semi-final action from the ATP Montpellier tennis and German Masters snooker.

There are also 10 NBA games through the night so don't miss Jordan's tip tops – he'll post them below as a comment – and let's hear all your own picks and chat for the day's sporting action.

IT wasn't a great night in Germany for Jordan although BFC had their fair share of chances.

Tonight he's turning his attention to France where two of the worst sides away from home will face off.

He says: “Luckily one of them is playing at home and that’s who I’ll be taking to score twice. Promoted Troyes haven’t taken too well to the top tier and find themselves glued to the bottom of the league by nine points.

“Conceding a league high 49 goals with 30 coming away from home, they’ll be playing Bastia who although struggle on their travels just as much as Troyes, 24 of their 28 points have come at home and which ranks third in the league.

“Troyes haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home this season and with Bastia scoring 17 of their 22 goals at home, I’ll risk a small stake with the fairly big double in Australia Sunday morning.

SUPER BOWL Sunday has arrived and the eyes of the world will be on the Levi's Stadium in California for tonight's big occasion.

Carolina Panthers are going for their first Super Bowl while Denver Broncos attempt to land the crown for the third time and it promises to be an unmissable battle as the top seeds from the AFC and NFC lock horns.

There's also an intriguing quarterback contest with Carolina's Cam Newton – one of the sport's most exciting talents – bidding to get the better of Denver's Peyton Manning who could be playing his final game.

Carolina start as 1-2 favourites (Bet Bright) while Denver are 2-1 dark horses at Ladbrokes and Newton tops the anytime touchdown betting at 11-10 (Skybet) followed by team-mate Jonathan Stewart (5-4, Coral) and Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (6-4, William Hill).

JORDAN had a superb nap winner on Saturday with Bastia to score 2+ and he's back with a Dutch nap after his early-morning tip from Down Under was scuppered by a red card.

He says: “I'm happy to take Utrecht/PSV BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/5 @ 365 as my nap for today. PSV will still be feeling sour after their quarter-final KNVB cup exit at home to Utrecht midweek. Both sides went full strength which ended up proving costly for PSV who bowed out 3-1 losers on the day. Last four contests between the two have seen BTTS & Over, as has 5 of last 6 competitive fixtures for PSV.”

Jordan's Tip

Utrecht v PSV (3.45pm)

BTTS & Over 2.5 Match Goals (4-5, bet365) – 2.5 points

“Perth Glory have found a bit of form recently and it's partly due to their ex-Championship veteran Andy Keogh. The Glory are undefeated in their last three, beating a strong Victory at home, the Jets 6-1 away and the other team in today's treble in a home 2-2 draw.

“Hosts Phoenix have 1 point from 15 and have conceded 12 goals in the process, 3 goals in five of their last six. La Liga veteran Diego Castro is in fine form scoring 5 in his last three consecutive games and they could get a couple if the Phoenix defensive woes continue.

“The second game takes me to my favourite team of the A-League where Melbourne City play the Newcastle Jets. I’ve said enough about Melbourne and as some will know I’ve put them up a few times but they are by far the league's best attack and despite losing in Sydney last time out still managed to score three at the league leaders.

“They now face a team who have 5 points from 30 and were beaten 4-0 when Melbourne came here in December. City are a much better side now and could put the same amount past the Jets if they’re on top form. Bruno Fornaroli has 14 goals in 17 games, 9 in his last 10. With midfield star Aaron Mooy notching 7 assists in his last four. Look out Ozil.”

THE NFL season is over after last night's Super Bowl but there's still plenty of NBA action to keep the Stateside sport fans happy.

Tonight sees no fewer than 10 matches including high-flying teams Cleveland Cavs, Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks.

Switching from the basketball court to tennis court, the Rotterdam ATP gets underway with Marin Cilic and Richard Gasquet – who won the Montpellier title yesterday – joint title favourites at 6-1 with Betfair.

And there's opening-day WTA action from St Petersburg where Belinda Bencic tops the betting at 7-2 with bwin.

Seeing it's the end of the NFL season I will restart my stats from today as we head into the second half on the NBA season. Below are the totals which were primarily from the NFL but have added every NBA bet that has been posted win or lose up to last night to the below totals.

NFL/NBA Totals

At a rate of 0.5 a point profit per bet it turned out to be a decent season and I hope that shows discipline can lead to profit by backing odds-on bets. It’s all about the confidence of the bet which has certainly worked over the past couple of years for myself.

The main antepost 10-point bet went down before the playoffs but did manage to turn a 9.5 point profit on the whole with winners such as Adrian Peterson rushing leader @ 5/1 EW, Julio Jones receiving leader @ 13/2 EW, and JJ Watt to win defensive player of the year.

Thanks to those who followed for the majority of the ride. Obviously, not all numbers will be identified as not every bet gets followed but I hope it has been a good one and will likely be again next season. On to the final stages of the NBA with the MLS returning soon.

JORDAN is going to try his luck in the AFC Champions League this morning where he feels there could be some goals.

He says: “The Chinese are heavily favoured and probably rightly so, but I think the away side could notch a couple of goals for themselves.

“Both sides possess Brazilian strikers, Cleiton Silva scored 25 goals in 33 appearances in his league for the Thais. Shanghai have one of the most prolific scorers in the league over the last three seasons in Elkeson, who scored 59 goals in 62 starts for Guangzhou Evergrande but transferred on the 20th of January 2016 for 18.5M Euros.

“They also have Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan who all punters would have heard of at some stage of their time betting. He only made 10 starts in 2015 after a transfer from Al Ain where he had scored 95 goals in 76 starts over four seasons.

“If both start they should have more than enough firepower to rack up a few goals against a Thai side who concede against the majority of their sides in their league.

“SIPG are priced up heavy favourites and probably for good reason. There was a similar match last week when a fairly strong Indian side went to China and lost 6-0 to Shandong Luneng. Again this is without team news so only follow if you fancy it.”

Atlanta are in Chicago and playing a very depleted Bulls team. Butler and Mirotic won’t be available with Rose playing through soreness. The Hawks ‘should’ win outright but I’m hoping the +4.5 is enough.”

THERE are some decent games tonight and Jordan is focusing on the La Liga clash between Sporting Gijon and Rayo Vallecano.

He says: Antonio Sanabria will not feature for Gijon tonight. Sanabria has 10 of their 24 goals this season so will likely be missed as will their best defender in Bernardo.

Vallecano will be without a few players themselves but despite their terrible defensive form they know how to control a game and rank fifth in La Liga in possession.

If they can come away with a point they’ll stretch a small gap above Gijon who have won two of their last three but I think Roma loanee Sanabria could be a big miss for the home side. I can't see Rayo losing but they can win.

JORDAN was unlucky with his Dutch goals bets last night but he is back with two teams he believes will score tonight.

He says: The first clash takes us to the Champions League where Portuguese side Benfica take on Zenit St Petersburg who are playing their first competitive fixture since their 2-1 defeat at Genk on December 9.

Since then Benfica have played 14 fixtures, winning 12 of them. Zenit have had a few friendlies but I think the Portuguese could catch them out here and will have no better advantage than to secure a win in the first leg.

Second team takes us to a top-of-the-table clash in League Two where Oxford host Northampton. The visitors are at the summit and have won 16 of their last 20 games.

Oxford haven’t kept a clean sheet at home since Boxing Day and have conceded 10 goals in the 5 games up to now. Star man Kemar Roofe is a major doubt for Oxford after suffering a groin injury in Saturday’s 4-2 win against Morecambe. ANTHONY JOSHUA'S first tilt at a world boxing title has been confirmed for April 9 against Charles Martin and William Hill have priced up plenty of markets on the big fight.

William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny said: “Anthony Joshua has long been built up as a future world champion – now he’s got his chance to live up to the hype. AJ is our red-hot favourite to claim the title but ‘Prince’ Charles Martin has knocked out 21 of his 24 previous opponents and shouldn’t be underestimated.”

BENFICA made it a great night for Jordan as their last-minute goal landed two doubles.

He's focusing on Roma v Real Madrid tonight with two tips – one which is a long shot.

Jordan says: Cristiano Ronaldo walked out of his Champions League press conference last night after being irritated by journalists' questions about his performances away from home, his relationship with team-mates and why they don’t seem to bond as well as they Catalans.

I fancied him to score before seeing this so thought I’d add to to the write-up as it has probably fuelled him and he was raging at the suggestions. I like the Champions League knockout stages as you get the better players at better prices to score goals and think there is value in the Portuguese hitman tonight.

Ronaldo leads the competition with 11 goals and now faces a Roma side with one clean sheet in their last eight fixtures. He has six goals in his last two group games and if there’s anybody who’s going to score tonight he’s clearly the favourite.

Looking for a bigger-priced long shot I think Madrid's chances of a penalty could be worth a gamble and hopefully it's Ronaldo who steps up. A Chris Guy-type of bet might tempt you to take a header or left foot which he has surprisingly scored a fair bit with in his last few La Liga goals four in 11 if I’m not mistaken. A header is available at 6-1 and the left foot 9-1 – both with 888sport.

Christiano Ronaldo to score (19-20, 888sport) – 2.5 points

Real Madrid to score a penalty (11-2, Paddy Power) – 0.5 points

THE NBA regular season resumes tonight after a short hiatus and two of the best in East and West are in action.

San Antonio Spurs travel to LA Clippers, fellow table-toppers Cleveland Cavs host Chicago Bulls and the night's other game is a closely-matched battle of Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.

The Welsh Open snooker reaches the fourth-round stage and there's some tasty ties including Marco Fu against Neil Robertson and Mark Selby v Mark Williams.

There's also plenty of ATP tennis from Rio, Marseille and Delray Beach as well as week three of the Premier League darts which is always worth a watch.

As for the NBA action, Jordan says: NBA is back but a difficult card in my opinion. You can almost guarantee that DeAndre Jordan will be at the free throw line at least 20 times tonight if the Spurs are struggling in LA. Popovic loves the hack strategy as he knows he’s not breaking the rules and doesn’t care how his team wins, just that they win. Chris Paul and LeMarcus Aldridge were the stand out players when these two met in December in Texas, with the Spurs winning by 8. That was when the Clippers had Griffin. I’m with the Spurs tonight, but as they’re on b2b (in LA) I wouldn’t go too mad.

The Cavs should win in Cleveland tonight against a Butlerless Bulls. Revenge is due after the Cavs lost at home in January against Chicago in what I believe was Lue’ first game in charge. Since then the Cavs have only lost at home to the Celtics by 1, but they have managed to beat the Spurs in that home span.

IT was one out of two for Jordan yesterday with the expected bet coming in and the long shot failing.

The Man United fan's been looking carefully at tonight's Europa League card and here's his thoughts and tips.

He says: I posted this a few weeks ago when I first had my thread and thinking we had hit a vein of form. I thought United would be good for a couple of goals in Denmark tonight.

A 2-1 defeat against Sunderland and no Wayne Rooney and I’m starting to regret taking this bet but in all seriousness, as much as Rooney is huge to us, I do think we play can just as good without him when taking into consideration Midtjylland’s last competitive game was in December.

You sort of saw just how well these teams do after their winter breaks. Lokomotiv Moscow were beaten in Turkey on Tuesday as were Zenit who were unlucky to concede a late goal in Portugal.

LVG’s squad is wearing thin. Probably with patience but more so with actual bodies and we have taken a young set of players to Denmark for the first leg: De Gea, Romero, Love, McNair, Smalling, Blind, Poole, Riley, Carrick, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Lingard, Pereira, Weir, Mata, Memphis, Martial, Keane.

I think the only two youngsters out of that squad who will start will be Donald Love and Joe Riley who will likely play at either full-back position.

Jesse Lingard sat next to van Gaal at the press conference and with his good form he’ll likely get a starting role. I think the only question now is will Van Gaal deploy Memphis or Herrera.

To me this type of game would suit Memphis as it's the same type of team he would have faced in the Eredivisie but he’s still a raw talent and has a lot to learn.

Herrera would be the better option for experience and would be a better partnership with Mata who will likely sit behind Martial. That’s my thinking anyway.

I still think we can score twice but obviously the risk is greater than I expected a few weeks ago so I would advise not to go so high if you do but over 1.5 Manchester United Team Goals is available at 21-20 with Coral.

United were still being backed up until the Rooney news but has now drifted back on to the Danes. Still think the Rooney loss could be over-exaggerated but we shall see.

Manchester United Over 1.5 Team Goals (10-11, William Hill) 4.4 points (6pm)

There are a few more teams that haven’t had competitive games for some time which includes Molde who face a tough test in Seville. The Norwegians were unbeaten away from home in their group in wins against Fenerbahce and Celtic, with a draw in Amsterdam against Ajax.

They’ll head to another home fortress but this one will likely be the toughest with Sevilla winning 17 of their 20 home games in all competitions this season.

Jurgen Klopp heads back to Germany for their trip to Augsburg who haven’t disappointed when backing goals at home in their group games. Each game saw BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals, losing 3-2 to Bilbao, 3-1 against Serbian side Partizan Belgrad, and a 4-1 win against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Liverpool are unbeaten away from home in Europe this season and should score with Daniel Sturridge back and already in scoring form.

RONNIE O'SULLIVAN has barely broken a sweat at the Welsh Open so far but faces his toughest test today against world No.1 Mark Selby in the quarter-finals.

O'Sullivan is 7-15 (marathonbet) against Coral's 2-1 underdog Selby and the other last-eight ties include Neil Robertson v Ding Junhui, who claimed the scalp of defending champ John Higgins yesterday.

There's also quarter-final action at the Marseille Open tennis where title favourite Stan Wawrinka faces home hope Benoit Paire and match of the day could well be Nick Kyrgios's battle with French ace Richard Gasquet.

In the NBA it's a bumper Friday night card of 14 games and Jordan has added his top tip.

As usual, let's hear all your own picks and chat for the day's sporting action and good luck with your bets.

JORDAN put up some early-morning tips but here are his main Friday bets.

He's off to the Dutch second tier which is nice to see for fans of goals.

VVV Venlo Over 1.5 Team Goals

(17-20, Ladbrokes) 3.5 pts

VVV Venlo Over 1.5 Team Goals
Bruges Over 2.5 Team Goals (7.30pm)
ADO Den Haag/PEC Zwolle BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals (7pm)

(23-4, bet365) – 0.5pts

He says: I originally priced up Bruges over 1.5 team goals with Venlo and Zwolle to score in a treble but thought why bother when I can take two Venlo goals at fairly good value.

Venlo have been inconsistent in the wins over their last six but haven’t failed to score since September. Helmond are mid-table and can probably make the play-offs if they produce against the lesser teams but Venlo should be too strong here and need a win to close the gap against Sparta who are running away with automatic promotion but face a tough game at Telstar who have hit some form.

TITLE favourite Stan Wawrinka was toppled by plucky underdog Benoit Paire at the Marseille Open and the Frenchman aims to upset another Grand Slam winner today.

Paire is priced up at 12-5 (Ladbrokes) in his semi-final battle with Marin Cilic, who lost the duo's only previous meeting and is 2-5 at Coral to make the final.

There's also last-four ATP action from Rio and Delray Beach today while the WTA Dubai Championship Final sees Sara Errani (11-12, marathonbet) take on Barbara Strycova (6-5, Betway).

At the Welsh Open snooker Ronnie O'Sullivan continues to make it look easy, thrashing world No.1 Mark Selby 5-1 yesterday to set up a semi-final showdown today with Joe Perry while Mark Allen and Neil Robertson go head to head in the other tie.

JORDAN'S Dutch single sailed in after half an hour yesterday and his small-stakes 23-4 treble was only a goal away from landing.

He's lined up some good looking Saturday tips and says: Surprised at the price I’m getting here. I’m guessing the weather might have something to do with it as it is likely to be belting it down on Saturday afternoon across the UK so maybe caution advised but I can’t see much wrong with it.

I do think Bury double chance is a nice market but would much rather take the goal considering they have only failed to score once at home in their last 7, with Colchester not keeping a clean sheet away from home this season. Bury need to face an opponent like this and should have some confidence after their win over the Blades in the week.

Burnley should put Rotherham away with relative ease but the weather forecast is rotten which is why I’m not risking too much. Rotherham have conceded two or more in their last five away from home, with Burnley putting four past Derby, Bristol City, and Charlton in three of their last five at Turf Moor.

Burnley Over 1.5 Team Goals – English Championship
Bury To Score – English League One

26-25 (BoyleSports) – 3.5pts

Vincent Janssen (AZ) Anytime 11-10 (Paddy Power) 1 pt

A young player who I’ve been taking note of this season in the Eredivisie who I think has a bright future. At only 21 he is in his first season in the Eredivisie and has 14 goals in 21 appearances, eight in his last six, and in both of his last two consecutive games.

AZ are in terrific form at the moment and Janssen has played his part. Groningen have only kept once clean sheet away from home in the league this season and after beating AZ 2-0 in the reverse fixture I expect a bit of revenge for the home side.

THE Welsh Open snooker comes to an end today with a fitting final between two of the sport's finest, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Neil Robertson.

O'Sullivan saw off Joe Perry to progress and is 4-9 favourite at Ladbrokes and bet365 to nab the title for a fourth time ahead of world No.3 Robertson, who edged out Mark Allen and is 2-10 (betway) to reclaim the crown he won in 2007.

There's also tennis trophies up for grabs today and Aussie rising star Nick Kyrgios aims to crown his impressive ATP Marseille campaign with victory over Marin Cilic in the final.

Despite being ranked almost 30 places below the world No.12 and having lost their only previous meeting, Kyrgios is 4-6 favourite at William Hill while Cilic is a 13-9 chance at marathonbet.

There's plenty more sporting highlights today – including a busy night of NBA action – so let's hear all your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Jordan's NBA Tips

Golden State Warriors NBA Championship 2015-16 (5-4, Skybet) – 5 points (now 20 in total)

Kemba Walker (Charlotte Hornets) Over 31.5 PR&A (17-20, Betway) – 3 points

Rudy Gubert (Utah Jazz) Over 11 Rebounds (5-6, Paddy Power) – 2.4 points

Chandler Parsons (Dallas Mavericks) Over 17 Points (5-6) – 2.4 points

Jordan says: I think Gobert’ Points and Rebounds at Over 23 is worth a shot but a short price of 8-11. My thinking is Portland are a top five team in shots attempted per game with not too much offense through their Center so Gobert should have a fairly big night on the glass.

JORDAN'S purple patch continued with both bets winning on Sunday and while Monday isn't his favourite night he has found a game he believes will produce goals.

He says: “This is a Conference game between two teams who have kept one clean sheet between them in 16 games this year.

“Eight of 12 home games have brought up over 2.5 for Wealdstone and 7 of their last 9 in all competitions. Opponents Hemel Hempstead aren’t quite as consistent for overs away from home but 17 of their 27 games this season have seen over 2.5 with 8 of 14 away games averaging 3.6 goals.

“Wealdstone have scored 11 and conceded 9 over their last 5, with Hempstead scoring 10 and conceding 13 in that same span. The reverse fixture was on Boxing Day which ended in a 2-2 draw.

“Both have scored in every game played between the two sides with a 2-2 draw here last season. These teams have only played 5 times in their history with 3 of those games finishing 2-2. Both look as if they can score here tonight but should also let a couple in at their own end too. If you’re a sucker for history repeating itself a fourth 2-2 in 6 h2h pays 12-1 at bet365.

“With the price so short on match goals I’m going to risk btts & over 2.5 which pays a reasonable 10-11 with 365. Easy does it though as I have no information about teams news. Hopefully the short rest from the weekend's fixtures can add to the goals too.”

Warriors'  win against Atlanta on Monday made them the fastest team in NBA history to rack up 50 victories in a season.

That beat the milestone set by Chicago Bulls and the Warriors are still chasing the Bulls' famous record of 72 wins in a season, which they can take a step closer to tonight and are 23-100 at Betway to beat the Heat who are chalked up at 7-2 by Ladbrokes.

JORDAN has one for the early risers as he makes a trip Down Under.

He says: Melbourne Victory open up their AFC Champions League campaign against Sven-Goran Eriksson's Shanghai SIPG who are making their debut in the competition.

The Victory should take this competition seriously despite being in a tough battle for the A-League title but will host a Sydney side next up who actually play in Japan tomorrow morning against the Urawa Red Diamonds.

Shanghai haven’t started their domestic season yet and have only played one competitive fixture this year which was on February 9 in their qualifier.

They will be without their central-defensive captain but do have some good players going forward in a certain Asamoah Gyan, Chinese international Wu Lei and their off season big signing Elkeson who has scored 59 goals in 72 appearances over his last three seasons in China.

I’m fairly surprised the Victory are the underdogs here considering their experience in the competition, the fact they are at home and another interesting factor could be the artificial pitch they play on, with SIPG performing on grass in their home stadium.

Bookies usually do get prices right though and with international experience all round for the Chinese they should net here, as should the Victory. Shanghai have only kept 3 clean sheets in 14 competitive away fixtures last season and without their captain at the back I can’t see the Victory not scoring being match fit and well into their season.

The CONCACAF Champions League knockout stages also kick off at 1am and 3am this morning involving Mexican and USA sides. Feb 24: Jordan’s Champions/Europa League Tips

Published on February 24th, 2016

JORDAN has put up AFC Champions League tips separately and is now turning his attention to the Champions League and one Europa League tie tonight.

He says: Couldn’t make use of the bigger card last night with Barnsley the only side letting down my treble. I said to Mr F I always question why I don’t back double chance more often as the treble would have landed last night even with Huddersfield down to 10 men and scoring a late goal. So that is what I’m doing tonight with the smaller card.

Manuel Pellegrini showed how serious he’s taking the Champions League by pretty much gifting Chelsea a place in the next round of the FA Cup last weekend and in his last season you probably can’t blame him.

All the stars were rested for their trip to Kiev who will be playing their first competitive match in about 10 weeks. They have kept themselves busy with plenty of friendlies but I’m sure if they had the option City wouldn’t be their first-choice competitive game to get back into the swing of things. I expect City to come away without a loss here and at 1-3 the double chance looks a good price for my treble.

Head over to the Netherlands where PSV host Atletico in what is harder to call game but you’d have to suggest that Diego Simeone won’t give the Dutch too much to take into the return leg in Spain. It was a toss-up between Atletico on the double chance or under 3.5 match goals which you can get for the same price but unders markets are not something I’m a fan of taking despite having an advantage from kick-off.

With Atletico's solid defence and PSV without Luuk De Jong and midfield maestro Guardado you’d expect the Spaniards to maybe nick a 1-0 victory or at least come into the return leg without a goal conceded. PSV were good at home in the group stages but Atletico are a tough nut to crack no matter where they play.

Third game takes us to Portugal in the Europa League where Braga host Swiss side Sion with a 2-1 lead. This might be the dodgiest of the lot as even a 1-0 defeat will see the Portuguese through. But that will be unlikely considering their only loss at home this season is against Benfica and Sion have only just restarted their domestic season after the winter break.

Double Chance Treble

Atletico Madrid
Braga (5pm)

(21-25, Ladbrokes) – 2.5 points

Feb 25: Jordan’s Europa League Tip

Published on February 25th, 2016

JORDAN has had a look the Europa League and come up with a game he likes for goals.

He says: I’m sticking to the game that was the most open for both sides last week and that was St Etienne hosting Basel in a 3-2 win.

The French have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 5 in all comps and 6 of their last 7 away games, only keeping one clean sheet in their last 13 on the road.

The Swiss concede against the majority of teams in their domestic league but are usually good enough to put three or four past each side too so for St Etienne to score three in the first leg would lead me to believe we should have a repeat performance here in Basel.

With only one goal separating the two teams its anyone's to qualify and a 1-0 win would see the Swiss through. That will be unlikely though considering the first leg but no two matches are the same.

Both to score is short with the best available price at 15-19 so I’m going to take a smaller stab at over 2.5 match goals. Two of Basel’s three home group games saw BTTS & Over 2.5 Match Goals with only one of St Etienne's away game going over. The French, however, did score in every away game and I think they can here.

Feb 25: Jordan’s Early US Football Tip

Published on February 25th, 2016

THIS is a tip Jordan posted earlier and the price has drifted too.

He says: Santos Laguna have drastically fallen behind in Mexico in recent years selling their best players to other clubs and not replacing them very well.

They would have done a fair bit of travelling over the past week with an away game in Mexico City on Sunday and now a trip to LA to face the Galaxy.

I’m only risking a point on this because like Seattle yesterday, it's Galaxy's first competitive fixture this year but the talent should be too much for the Mexicans who have not kept a clean sheet away from home this season.

If you want to take the 1.5 Galaxy goals that would be my NB but at 13-10 for the win I’ll risk a point. Seattle went full strength last night and I’d expect LA to do the same. Keane, Dos Santos, Zardes and Gerrard should all start, with maybe their new faces in Ashley Cole and Nigel De Jong.

THE Six Nations rugby resumes tonight with Wales welcoming a France side who boast a perfect record so far.

Wales will take confidence from the fact they've won the last four meetings with France and they're 1-3 at Skybet to make it five in a row.

THERE are plenty of games to look at tonight and Jordan has targeted La Liga after yesterday's nap came up with two injury-time goals at Basel.

He says: Tonight's main bet takes us to La Liga where Eibar host Las Palmas. The away side, despite being in terrible form, gave a good account of themselves at home to Barcelona last weekend, only losing 2-1, but had plenty of possession and attempts at the Barca goal.

It's on the road where they struggle and are the worst side in La Liga, only picking up 3 points all season on their travels. Despite the 3 points they can still score goals and have 11 away from home.

That doesn’t seem like much but when you consider it's more on the road than the likes of Malaga, Sevilla, Betis, Getafe, Levante and Gijon and tied with Villarreal and Espanyol it's not overly a bad account.

Eibar have impressed this season but have gone off the boil slightly, only winning 1 of their last 5 and conceding 13 in the 4 losses. These two squared off in two legs of the Copa del Rey fairly recently in which Las Palmas triumphed 3-2 home and away only to be knocked out by Valencia in the next round.

With Eibar still hoping for a European spot and Las Palmas aiming to avoid the drop we should have a competitive fixture here and I like the look of both teams to score.

Jordan also has an early-morning Aussie scorer tip and he's commented with reasoning on Mr Fixit's Top Tips post.

SCOTLAND'S Six Nations game today has been billed as the biggest in their history as they travel to Rome to tackle Italy.

The Scots are on their worst run the tournament for more than 60 years – nine defeats in a row – and the Azzurri clash is their best chance of finally chalking up a victory.

Despite their awful form Vern Cotter's men are 4-9 at Skybet and bet365, which looks far too skinny, while the hosts are 13-5 at bet365.

The Azzurri won 22-19 at Murrayfield last season and in 2014 it was a last-gasp 21-20 win for the Scots in Rome. So another tight affair looks likely and a value bet could be Italy +7 points at evens with Ladbrokes.

In the day's later match England look to continue their perfect start under new boss Eddie Jones and are 3-10 (William Hill) at home to back-to-back champs Ireland (7-2, Paddy Power).

At the Dubai Tennis Championship, Stan Wawrinka takes on underdog Marcos Baghdatis in the final and at the women's Qatar Open it's Jelena Ostapenko v Carla Suarez Navarro.

Published on February 27th, 2016

JORDAN'S nap on Saturday comes from League Two and he has some goals bets you don't want to miss out on.

He says: League Two is by no means my forte but I can’t turn a blind eye at one of the in-form teams in the country who are chasing records as well as automatic promotion.

For the second time in four days Northampton will make a trip up north in search of three more points against a team battling relegation. With more points (30) from their last 10 fixtures than Hartlepool have managed all season, they’ll be looking to make history with 3 more points today.

If they do manage to overcome Hartlepool, who have lost four of their last five, they will become the first fourth-tier side to win nine consecutive away games, just one short of the all-time Football League record which dates back to 1950s when Spurs won 10 straight games on the road.

Not only is the gap in the table a large one, it also pits League Two’s leading scorers (59) against the division’s lowest with Hartlepool managing just 29 goals all season, three less than any other team.

Traditionally this fixture favours the home team but I take form over history every day of the week and there is no better time to buck the trend more than now.

Hartlepool have conceded 10 goals in their last 5, with 8 in their last 4 at home. Conceding 2 or more against Notts County, Stevenage and Exeter in 3 of the 4.

Northampton have only failed to score twice on the road on one occasion across a span of 9 games. Hartlepool could notch one as they have done in 8 of their last 9 and 5 of their last 6 at home, with Northampton conceding in 13 of 16 away games this season.

The trip might have an effect on the travellers and you can back Over 2.5 Match Goals at 107-100 at MarathonBet, with this coming up in 9 of 16 at home all season with 3 of their most recent games on home soil.

Northampton have seen this market in 11 of 16 on the road and 10 of their last 11. As much as I think Hartlepool could score I’m more of a team goals man when I see fit so I’m going to take Northampton to score twice and carry on their tremendous form despite another trip on a short week.

It’s been a good month and with only three days left and a poor card on Monday I’m going to risk a larger stake than usual on a league I’m no professional in. Anyone who follows is more than welcome to stake the same but remember I only do my bets and will still be well up by the time February ends.

HUDDERSFIELD are searching for their first points of the season when they host Widnes in today's Super League encounter.

The Giants, currently second bottom in the standings, have seven players out injured but haven't lost to the Vikings on home soil for 20 years.

Widnes are 19-10 at Unibet to end that barren run with victory while Huddersfield are 8-15 at Unibet to halt their own four-game losing streak that extends back to last season.

There's also rugby union action today from the Pro12 including Leinster at lowly Zebre and Edinburgh v Scarlets.

Other sporting highlights include golf and a seven-game NBA card so let's hear all your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

CLEVELAND CAVS are seeking a return to form when they head to Indiana Pacers in the pick of Monday night NBA matches.

LeBron James and Co have suffered back-to-back defeats in a run of three losses in their last four games as their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference comes under threat.

They're fancied to get back on track tonight with Betway going 13-50 on a Cavs win at Indiana who have also lacked consistency lately and are 31-10 at Paddy Power.

There's no ATP tennis action this week but plenty of WTA matches action from Monterrey – where Caroline Wozniacki is 11-2 title favourite at Skybet – and Kuala Lumpur.

Elsehwere there's a bit of cricket and NHL ice hockey so let's hear all your sporting tips and chat and Jordan will add an NBA pick if anything takes his fancy.

Jordan's NBA Tips

Wizards -6
Thunder -4
Clippers -5.5

(13-10, Skybet) – 1 point

OKC -4 First Half Spread (10-11, William Hill) – 3.3 points

Jordan says: Not a fan of backing my own team but Gay, Rondo and Curry are all now doubtful to play, so that isn’t a great sign for the Kings. Cousins will have to carry the whole team and against Durant and Westbrook, you’re likely to lose with a one man band. Other bookies have this spread @ 5.5-6 so it's quite the bargain.

JORDAN wasn't planning to post a tip but he's found something he likes from the English Conference.

He says: Chelmsford host Stortford in what is usually a high-scoring affair between the two. Only a 48-minute drive separates the two sides who are only 3 points apart in the league and could both take a drop if results don’t go their way by the end of the season.

Chelmsford sit 3 points above the drop zone in 18th with Stortford losing their last four and lying 14th.

The last 8 contests between these two have seen BTTS with 7 of those going over 2.5 goals. The last 4 h2hs have seen scorelines of 2-1, 4-2, 4-3 and 3-2 with Chelmsford winning 3 of those and the last four at home scoring two or more in the process.

Despite Stortford losing their last 4 they haven’t failed to score away from home all season with their last 7 on the road seeing BTTS. Chelmsford aren’t in great form themselves conceding 11 in their last 4 at home but have scored 8 goals in their last 3 games with the same amount of goals in their last 3 at home.

With both sides playing on Saturday and stats pointing to goals hopefully the trends continue. Both to score & over 2.5 pays 21-20 at 365 but I’m going to take the goals on their own which is less of a risk.

English National League South (7.45pm)

Chelmsford v Stortford Over 2.5 Match Goals

(3-4, various) – 4 points

I’m risking 4 points as no matter what I can end February on a relative high. Up to you if you follow and decide what stake to place. Remember to check stats if you’re unsure as I have no team news whatsoever.

Mar 1: Jordan’s Football Tips

Published on February 29th, 2016

JORDAN ended the month with a nice winner and he's got another for the early risers as well as some English tips.

He says: Putting this up now as I doubt many will be able to get on in time for the morning (not that it's a cert by any means).

I feel Shandong Luneng are being underestimated in their AFC Champions League group game at home to Thai champions Buriram who will be without their captain after receiving a red card last week and one of their Brazilian strikers who scored 33 of their 98 goals in their domestic league last season.

Shandong Luneng, despite their league not starting yet, managed to beat Japanese champions Sanfreece Hiroshima 2-1 in their first group game in Japan last week, while Buriram were mauled 6-0 at home by Seoul of the Korea Republic. They are a good side but don’t have any standouts for me other than Montenegro international Dejan Damjanovic who at 34)isn’t the best player in the world.

Luneng, on the other hand, have current Brazilian striker Diego Tardelli, Aloisio (22 goals in 28 games in the CSL last season) and the top Chinese scorer in the Asian World Cup Qualifiers in Xu Yang. They are also managed by ex-Brazil, Corinthians, Flamengo and Cruzeiro manager Mano Menezes so have experience at the coaching level.

Realistically I would like to double up a couple of the Luneng goals up with something but there isn’t much I like the look of in any of the other group games and don’t really want to be waiting for tomorrow evening for a bet to win as it's only a small interest.

Over 2.5 Luneng goals pays 6-4 at various bookmakers but I’m going to try my luck on the handicap.

AFC Champions League (7.30am)

Shandong Luneng -1

(13-10, Paddy Power) – 2pts

Crystal Palace continued their dire form on Saturday evening conceding three first-half goals against West Brom with a second-half brace from Conner Wickham not enough. That is now 10 Premier League fixtures without a win and their early-season form has come to nothing now being only 8 points off the drop.

Sunderland were defeated in London by West Ham in the early game but played well and really should have netted. Big Sam didn’t look happy after the game and I’m sure the Black Cats felt the wrath in the dressing room afterwards.

With Norwich at home to Chelsea and Newcastle not playing until the weekend at home to Bournemouth, Sunderland have a chance to get out of the relegation zone with 3 points tonight and there is more likely no better time to be playing Palace on short rest on b2b away games.

Jermaine Defoe scored the only goal in the reverse fixture despite Palace dominating the game so Palace could be seeking much-needed revenge. Both can win this with a good performance but it would take a brave man to back either side but I like the look of BTTS.

Sunderland's last game at home was a 2-1 win against Manchester United (no comment) and were only beaten 1-0 by City prior to that. They have scored in their last 3 of 4 at home but not kept a clean sheet since November in front of the home crowd.

Palace’s struggles have come while their best player (in my opinion) Yannick Bolasie dealt with an injury but came on in the second half on Saturday which likely spirited their two goals.

Palace have scored in their last three games on the road including their shock FA Cup win against Spurs, but have only kept 2 clean sheets in their last 10.

March 1: Jordan’s Sports Tips & Chat

The stage is set for the Steph Curry show again tonight as one of the greatest players ever to grace the NBA lines up for Golden State Warriors.

Curry's latest heroics saw him nail a 30-foot basket to beat Oklahoma in the last outing and break his own record for most three-pointers in a season (288 with 24 games left).

Tonight Curry and the rampant reigning champs Warriors – who are 5-4 at Coral for the NBA Championship and 8-11 at Coral to win the Western Conference – look to continue their incredible campaign with a home win over Atlanta Hawks.

There are five other NBA matches tonight including Chicago Bulls at Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets against struggling LA Lakers.

At the WTA Kuala Lumpur tennis, there's British interest this morning among the action with Naomi Broady 9-13 at Marathonbet against Klara Koukalova (16-11, Unibet).

There's also the likes of Asia Cup cricket – India v Sri Lanka – among the day's sporting highlights so let's hear all your tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Jordan's NBA Tips

Chandler Parson (Mavericks) Over 22.5 Points and Rebounds (4-5, Paddy Power( – 2.5 points

Jordan says: “The Magic have an important conference match up tomorrow at home to the Bulls so I expect Dallas to win this one outright but it could come close so they’ll need Parsons to be on form. Parsons had 24 points and 4 rebounds in the first match up in Orlando and has covered this total in points alone in 5 of his last 7 and most recent two games. Over 17.5 Points pays the same price with the same firm.”

Other Likes

Carmelo Anthony (Knicks) Over 35.5 PR&A (5-6, Paddy Power)

Mirza Teletovic (Suns) Over 14.5 Points (4-5, Paddy Power)
