IT wasn't a bad Saturday with my Top Treble winning as well as two both teams to score lines.
My both to score and match result came close to a 94-1 win – another Burnley and an Eintracht Frankfurt consolation was all I needed – but two out of four covered the stakes on a Yankee.
Sheffield Wednesday were the Super Single pick but their game was off so I suggested Aberdeen at 3-4 but with that being near kick-off I also stuck up a Daily Double but was one goal short in the Twente.
Aberdeen kept the treble alive – and I tipped Adam Rooney to score first – and Dundee Utd and Motherwell both came from behind to seal a 9-2 winner in dramatic style.
The Scottish btts fourfold I put up on the Betfred goals galore contest thread won as did the treble on the top tips (with Coventry postponed).
I'm wary of picking FA Cup results until seeing teams but I reckon Everton will take care of Swansea on Sunday. Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has said he'll play a strong side and will of course want to put one over his former side.
Everton beat Swansea at the Liberty but in the Premier League it's been 1-0 and 0-0 at home to the Swans who have started life under Garry Monk with a win and a draw. Take the home at 2-5 with Ladbrokes to kick off the treble.
Add Athletic Bilbao at home to Espanyol as they remain unbeaten in the league at their new San Mames home with nine wins and three draws.
Espanyol have lost their last three away matches without scoring and failed to net in five of seven on their travels.
Complete the treble with Augsburg at home to Nuremberg as I hinted at earlier. Augsburg are one of the surprise sides of the season and looked superb as they beat Stuttgart 4-1 away last weekend.
They have won six out of nine at home and netted nine goals in three games since resuming action after the winter break. Nuremberg's only defeat in six was to Bayern Munich last week but they've won just once away from home and are embroiled in a relegation battle.
For the Super Single I thought about Nottingham Forest but can't back them at Sheffield Utd in the FA Cup until I see their line-up. With a midweek Championship game at Leicester boss Billy Davies may rest some players but the Blades may do likewise with a relegation battle on the go.
I've posted a separate piece on Arsenal v Liverpool and fancy the away and I'll be on them for sure if Arsene Wenger names a weakened side ahead of the midweek Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich.
Another side I've looked at is Atalanta who are in good form at home and have a decent record against Parma. But this is one I'd take advice about from Oor man in Napoli and he's not commented.
Lille are another I considered at Evian but they let me down in drawing with Caen in the French Cup so that puts me off.
In the end I can't get away from Valencia who travel to Sevilla. Valencia have been in great form following a 3-2 win at Barcelona with a 5-0 rout of Real Betis.
Their record in Seville is poor with five defeats and a draw in the last six visits and no wins since 2004. If you big on stats leave them out but on current form Valencia must have a chance against a side who have lost four times at home this season including the last two to Barcelona and Levante.
You can have Valencia at 5-2 with Ladbrokes or play safer on the double chance at 5-6 with bet365. I'm backing both but for the Super Single will put up the double chance.
Sides at shorter prices who should win include Lyon v Ajaccio, Roma v Sampdoria, Napoli at Sassuoloa and Real Madrid – with no Cristiano Ronaldo – at Getafe. Lyon and Roma look a decent double at a tad under evens with McBookie and BetVictor.
A speculative small punt on the top treble, daily double plus Napoli and Real Madrid pays 18-1 at McBookie. It's worth £1 and I'll donate it to the Foundation of Hearts in honour of Jambos fan raaljaca's continued contributions to the site.

Everyone can expect Celtic to get back to winning ways after their cup exit to Aberdeen and what about Charlie Mulgrew at a massive 13/2 with Betfred to score anytime. Purely depends on teams for me newbie, as I don’t think Wenger is gonna put out the first team at all. Padolski, perhaps Bendtner likely to feature. Would like him to play atleast Gnabry and Chamberlain, think Flamini should play. Rosicky is a must, and the usual back four. Not sure how Brendan will play it but I imagine an almost full strength team, maybe 1 or 2 changes, they only have the league and this cup. Now the thing is I’d be more worried if we had the usual first team out. Rosicky, Gnabry and Chamberlain add some pace to the passing and movement, otherwise we are just static. In the league as Danny said back then Liverpool were just on fire so much pace, urgency, penetration and desire to win, and we were the complete opposite. Not sure that they’ll do the same thing twice as they are poorer away than at Anfield.
FC Augsburg vs FC Nurnberg (Bundesliga, 14:30)
Augsburg have been on fire since the winter break, scoring 9 goals in 3 games including 2 away at Dortmund. Nurnberg are 3rd bottom and have conceded 11 goals in their previous 5 away games. I’ll be on Augsburg over 1.5 team goals which pays a decent 5/6, but I might also have a go at over 2.5 team goals which pays 11/4.
Sevilla vs Valencia (La Liga, 20:00)
Sevilla have played 3 home games since the winter break, winning one and losing 2. In all, they are without a win in 5 and although are scoring goals, are conceding plenty as well. The main focus here however is on Valencia. They followed up an amazing 3-2 win away at the Nou Camp with a 5-0 thrashing of Real Betis last week. Valencia haven’t beat Sevilla away since 2004, but I’m going to go off recent form here and hopefully Valencia’s momentum will be enough to see them home.

In Italy, Napoli go to Sassuolo who have the worst defensive record in the league. Sassuolo have conceded 49 league goals 25 coming at home. Napoli are 8/13 Various.
Napoli will be missing, in my eyes their best player in Gokhan Inler, but even that doesn’t stop me backing Gonzalo Higuain to score against a struggling team, who have a whole host of injuries. Most regulars will know he is the player I normally look at and I think he is worth backing again. He has 12 goals this season and he is evens at Coral & Boylesport and to grab 2+ is 9/2 at Skybet.

After an unusually good Saturday with Mr F landing a 9/2 treble, Alex landing a 10/1 over 2.5 acca I think, Greg with his winning tips and Hearts corner bets and Damo going remarkabley well with his bank builder rolling bets netting over £760 profit in just a week, safe to say a good day. Another massive return let down by a last minute equaliser :( culprits this week were Doncaster conceding in the 89th min. I don’t mind losing, it’s part of the gamble and accept that. Greg, it is my opinion that logic is unhelpful in football. Having followed this site for a long time, I don’t think here’s a greater % of wins that come from logic vs. Intuition

Don’t know if anyone has pointed this out yet however looking at recent results between Getafe and madrid I like the look of these, yes Madrid don’t have Ronaldo although bale of course loves getting forward and loves taking in the Ronaldo role such as free kick taker and of course running at players I feel also he likes to bring others into the game if the likes if jese benzema and isco all start I feel they can easily cover over 2.5 goals at 5/6 but also over 3.5 goals looks good at 9/4.

Another bet I also like the look of today is in form Hertha Berlin striker Adrian Ramos. Currently being linked with a move to replace lewandowski at Dortmund and currently having the time of his life although he did miss a oenalty last week however he later made up for it by scoring 2 that game. Although they face a tough opposition in Wolfsburg, I feel he can not only score anytime but also break the deadlock. Wolfburg defence has been leaky in the last weeks although they usually out score there lower positioned opponents however Bertha come here off the back off a win last week scoring 4 in the process and with a win today it could put them ahead of Wolfsburg.

I thought I’d post regarding the Arsenal v Liverpool game. Though I won’t be betting on this game as (I’m a Liverpool fan, never bet involving my team!!) I have a few view on todays game.
Liverpool have had a fantastic season so far and I amongst the majority of red fans are very pleased with what Rodgers is building within the squad. The fantastic season though has been built around a fantastic home record where we have been scoring goals for fun and beating teams at will. Are away record in contrast is nothing better than average and where are shaky defence seems to crumble on regular occasions. We have missed full backs Johnson and Enrique (who are out today,) Flanaghan has done well coming in recently but is a bit raw and will get better with games. Then we go to centre defence where Skrtel who despite his 2 goals v Arsenal is not the best centre back I’ve seen, he’s no Kompany or Terry. Agger is our best defender and I’m glad to see him playing today. Mignolet is a great shot stopper but doesn’t command his box or defence that well and don’t know if he’s the long term option in goal. Ask any Liverpool fan and they would tell you we miss Lucas protecting the back 4. He’s a vital player for us and is a un-sung hero who’s improved loads since he first came, Allen has come in that position but is not in the same league.
Basically if I was betting as a neutral, I would be surprised if Arsenal didn’t score, I would be looking at over 1.5 Arsenal team goals.

to be honest Honda, try to remember the mantra gambling is about minimising losses. If you can break even its not the end of the world, far from it. I just hate it when ive put what feels like a 3 day shift in covering and laying, only to end up with what I started haha!

Being absolutely honest it’s the odds that have drawn me to this one but here’s a bit of background
Oriente sit 10th out of 12 in the league having taken 4 points from their opening 4 games but lost their only home game thus far to Club Universitario who are currently joint top having played one game less than most.
The Strongest are also joint top on 10 points from their 5 games and have won 2 and lost 1 of their 3 away so far. The defeat came against 4th while they’ve beaten another side sitting joint top and the 11th placed side.
H-2-H is a mixed bag with 3 wins for the Strongest, 2 for Oriente and one draw in the last 6 but more encouragingly The Strongest have won the last 2 to nil including the last meeting where they won 2-0 away 2 months ago.
The Strongest won the Apertura stage of this league and have won 5 and lost one of last 6 away while Oriente finished 8th and in last 6 at home are W2 D2 L2
So far so away win and this is what I’m on but I can only explain the odds by the fact The Strongest are currently involved in the Copa Libertadores and have a home match on Friday. That being said they played Bolivar (who finished 2nd in the Apertura) ahead of their last Copa Libertadores game and managed a 3-3 draw having previously lost their last 2 meetings so they’re still taking the league seriously.

Be careful with the bet365 offer, it states in the t&c’s that any bet guarenteeing profit they reserve the right not to pay out. I’ve done it before backing one team before kick off then the other team on double chance in play (guarenteeing profit) and they did pay out but just thought I’d give a heads up.
If you do what Craig says just pace the cover bet on 0-0 with a different bookies.

Thought I would share my thought on this topic. Last time they had this on the 0-0 Arsenal v Chelsea game I believe it was. I took over 0.5 goals 50 on and a free bet of my choice for 50 risk in-play bet. To cover the under 0.5 goals I went on skybet and put £4 on the 0-0 at 12/1 I believe. This was so bet365 can’t have a case on their t&c’s
I like that strategy Stormin, gives you a chance to see how the game develops, and gives you time with your risk free bet in the knowledge that your pre-match bet is covered…GENIUS…
