IT was a disappointing weekend with two losers on Sunday following a poor Saturday.
Luckily we have Greg on board and his nap won again – that's possibly six in a row – with over 2.5 goals at Freiburg.
On the forum I'm closing in on a successful £10 to £100 challenge after yesterday's winner and one bet could do it but I'll probably go for two short ones. And my new Bet of the Day which only features teams to score was two out of two thanks to Frosinone and Bordeaux.
There's just four days to Christmas now and it would be nice to land a couple of winners but there's not a huge amount to look at today.
The big game is Arsenal v Man City in the Premier League and it's difficult to get away from the fact it could be a draw that doesn't harm either side. I've posted a full preview.
I wasn't going to do a Super Single but having looked at the stats for Osmanlispor v Besiktas. Osmanlispor have the worst home record in the league with one win and one draw and in all competitions they've lost their last five games in front of their own fans without scoring – four of them by 1-0.
Besiktas have won on their last three visits – 3-0, 4-1 and 3-1 – and have lost just once in nine trips to face the Ankara side. A win here will put Besiktas one point clear of Fenerbahce at the top of the table and open a gap on third-placed Galatasaray to eight points and that's a great carrot.
I'm risking 2.5pts in a bid to return to profit – if that's too much for you reduce the stake. Mario Gomez has netted in four of his last five matches and 13 in total this season. The German veteran is 6-5 at Ladbrokes to net at any time.
I looked at putting up a Top Treble but to be honest the choice is limited and I'm not throwing away points for the sake of it. I considered Braga at home to Pacos and both to score at AEK v Levadiakos and Jong Ajax v Volendam.

Thanks Mr Fixit, at 6ft 6 and 6ft 1 respectively, they are always worth a punt to score especially from a set piece. That’s the largest price I’ve seen them all season, especially Koscielny. Big Mertesacker is due a goal and how many times do defenders score in big games? Just shows you how important it is to shop around for prices as Coral offering almost double the odds of other bookies for anytime goalscorers. I’ve backed both but I fancy Mertesacker tonight and at 50/1 and 20/1 I couldn’t ignore the bet at those prices. Go on stick a few quid on yourself.

Earlier I went to hills to stick £100 on a team to score fourfold using their team to score coupon.
One of them was Braga who were priced at 1-6 on the coupon.
When he put the slip in it came up as a price change

Pacos to score 1-6 from 8-11
This is clearly a mistake by them. I even told the cashier, but he wasn’t interested.
Anyway I put the 100 on a single of Braga to score 8-11.
I now have a docket which I know is a mistake.
Are they liable to pay me now, and if they try and backtrack, is there anything I can do.

Ha ha Crane – years ago back home, used to work at a removals yard in Lower Broughton right opposite Strangeways and the Boddies brewery. Lad from Govan worked there for a while and was known as ‘F*ck-knows’ as when he tried to tell anyone anything, they just used to look at each other, ask what he’d said, shake their heads and say “f*ck knows”. Proper grafter he was but loved a drink!
